**This topic will have spoilers for those of you that haven't unlocked all the characters, since it'll probably mention them**

hi :)=
I wanted to start a topic strictly for this game (it's my favorite *__*), and the only ones that seem to exist are asking for help, or advice about it...
But here's a "fun" one ;)

Who's your favorite character to play as? What's your favorite move in the game? Special? Favorite mode to play in? Favorite anything else? whatever you really like about the game ^^;

I just want to chat about stuff like this, cause I don't know many people that play it, so they don't care to hear my fangirl ramblings u_u

-----

Hmm.. I'll start things off, per usual.

I just recently (maybe 2 days ago) got my own copy of the game. I've been playing it for a while, but I had borrowed my friend's...

But anyway, I can happily say I just unlocked my favorite character, Iruka. As many of you know, he is my favorite Naruto character ever (woot for fangirlism), but also... it's fun to play as him. The vanishing moves are a nice touch, and that huge shuriken (do they have a different name than the small ones?) is my favorite weapon in the game itself. The sound it makes, the way it looks, the way it intimidates some people (usually those who haven't played much of the game :P) is priceless.

But when it comes to Special moves, aside from Iruka's (dance Iruka dance!! XD), I think Neji and Kiba have the most awesome ones. Seeing two Kibas is something intense.. and the move itself is relatively easy to land on people, and really cool to watch, I think. It entertains me a bit, so when I play as him I use Special a lot.. much to my opponent's frustration... aheh.
Neji's way of counting his hits against you is totally cool, I think.. It seems a little arrogant (maybe?), but it's impressive of him to be able to know exactly how much damage he's inflicting on you. And I'd say he's the only character that can do a 64-hit combo (gah, impressive)... Am I wrong in that?

And I did mention favorite mode, so I'll comment on it... I like the Survival and Shadow (?) ones the best. I like to compare against my friends, to see who can last longer.
..although it's kind of odd that my highest Survival score was with Iruka... most people take him for granted, but he's a better fighter than they think ;)

Alright alright, I'm done rambling. No one that replies to this has to write that much text.. but feel free to, if you would like

My favorite character to play as is Rock Lee for a good reason: his juggle combos are awesome! If it wasn't for that replacement technique, I'd win any match in a matter of seconds.

Favorite move? I'm thinking it's a tie between Ura Renge (Lee) and Chidori (Sharingan no Sasuke). Both are great since they can hit from a long range. But I only use Ura Renge when I know I'm gonna win. Just to be evil. Mwahahaha!

Favorite mode is Bushin battle. I hold the house record with 250 kills with Sharingan no Sasuke.

Also, my favorite stage is the chunin exam room with the big hands.

I'll go with Orochimaru. Chakra seal is easily the best special in the game. not only do you do 45% damage, but your opponent can no longer access there chakra.

Besides that I like Rock Lee, Kakashi, and Kankuro.

If they make three (which i know Tomy will) they better have any characters we've seen fight...

Favorite Character: either Sharingan no Sasuke or Gaara. I've only recently starting really practicing with Gaara, so I'm not completely sure yet.

Favorite Move: moves which allow you to teleport around without expending chakra (but I hate them when I play with someone who likes to abuse said moves and use them repeatedly)

Favorite Combo: Sasuke's combo where he hits them a few times then goes into blowing fire, and hold that out as long as you want. best to stop it by the time they get 70%, because if you misuse this combo they'll just use the replication technique and hit you (though even then you've done more damage to them then they've done to you).

Favorite Super: Gaara's desert funeral. A close second would be chidori.

Favorite Mode: Survival Mode. It's the best test of skills. You know you're improving if you can consistently proceed further and further into it, since the enemies continue to get harder and harder to beat.

Sunagakuremaru: I'm glad you said that about Rock Lee, with the juggling combos... because I don't play as him very often, but I have looked into those moves... way awesome.

Ura Renge.. is that the 9 gates move? If so.. man is that awesome. It's so intense, it does -so- much damage... I get nervous when my opponent goes into the mode to do it (dunno the name ?_?), because I know it's coming up :o

Bushin (sp?) battle... the highest I've gotten now seems to be 125 or so, with Iruka. But then, the last time I played through it, I didn't know what I was doing, so now it's like I've only started to play through these modes for real... I'm gonna try to raise that number up to 175 in the next few days, at least ^_^

My favorite stages are the ones with the frogs (and Jiraiya's, namely). Those guys are awesome :D

L2Mc: What move is it that does the chakra sealing? Is it his regular Special, or does he have another one that does it? I don't have any friends that play as him (and haven't unlocked him yet), so I haven't figured that out...

If they make a game 3, I expect to see a lot of the characters they've missed... but can't get my hopes up, I guess. I'll take the best game I can get from them, since I love this one as it is :P

Shentar: Sharingan no Sasuke is awesome *_* But then, Sasuke is my second best character, so that explains my love for SnS, doesn't it? lol

Sasuke's fire move in general, is my favorite of his. I tend to use that well, I often get the timing just right... so they'll be caught off guard, and I can get a good several hits in before they realize what's happening to them XD

Survival mode... I agree with you, it's a -great- measure of skill (aside from the Shadow ninja one, that is). I like to play any of the modes that count things like that though, really. I find them to be great practice as well, when you're learning a new character n.n

Yay, my topic got replies!

his super is chakra seal, i think he is the best character in the game, all though Sharingan sasuke is much more expensive...

w00t, I totally unlocked Orochimaru today... his super is indeed awesome.

But now that I know what it does.. when he's fighting against me, I don't let him use it, heh x) It's the same way that I react to Lee trying to do the 9 Gates... I suddenly think, "ok, it's time to end this fight" before any of those supers happen ;)
but as you can imagine, I am not always so lucky, to succeed u_u... just most of the time :D

Orochimaru's a hard character to beat though, that's for sure. I like him, because he's tough, but he's not annoying like Gaara (I struggled with beating him for a while, until I figured out a strategy or two).

Whne I play the game at Sunagakuremarus house, I can almost always whip him or either of his brothers with Sharingan no Sasuke, but I also like to play as Gaara.

As has been said before Chidori is an awesome move, even though it hardly ever works.... *growls at suna* stupid kid and your jumping.

I didnt get very far in Bushin (spelling?) battle mode because I just got bored with it, I have a rather short attention span, so I think I only got about 70 or so.

Chidori is awesome. For me it usually works... but the trick is to hit them with it when they're left open; i.e., just after they're getting up from being knocked down, after they miss a failed combo and are thinking of something else to do, while moving towards you, etc.
Basically, to get them when they're distracted with something else they're doing.

Chidori works great for survival, and Time battle... With Sharingan Kakashi, I found a great strategy that works on almost anyone there:
Combo (two, if you really need to), and when they're getting up, start charging the Chidori. The computer tends to move slowly after getting up, and they rarely will attack you right away. This leaves an open moment, so you can send out the Chidori right then and finish them off.
Sometimes I can get rid of people in 8 seconds with this. ;)

where can i get the american rom for this? thanx :)

Nowhere. There is no American version of it at all, even if there was, you can't really get roms of it, as it's a Gamecube game, and to my knowledge there isn't any emulator that would be able to run it, nor is there any way to get a downloaded Gamecube game to run on a Gamecube. If you want it, you'll have to buy it.

As far as I know, you're correct.

But HayateKakashi, if you're still wondering about that, maybe someone in the forums (like, if you searched through other topics) could provide more opinions on the subject.

If you do buy it, don't forget to make sure you have any software you need, to run it correctly. The most common thing, is to buy the Japanese game, and run Freeloader to get it play ;)

If you have an American Gamecube (I don't know if this works for other countries' versions.. never thought about it :o ), you could get a Freeloader disc (they're usually around 20 US dollars) to help you play the game, no chip or modding needed.

muahahahaha but there is a way to get the game for free. it cost $$$ to get started but its worth it. im not sure exactly how it all works but i have a friend that does it. u need to buy some cords that attach the GC and ur comp. all u do is download the game(bittorent or irc)(my friend has naruto 2, PSO, wario, animal crossing, and a lot of others) but they can sometimes take up a hole lot of room on ur comp, close to a gig sometimes. u NEED PSO(phantsy star online) downloaded or real copy, so u can trick the system to thinking ur connecting to the internet. or somein like that. im not sure on how to do evrything exactlybut if u want send me a PM or email, theboogieman60@hotmail.com , and ill ask my friend about it, he was the one that told me bout it. im thinkin bout doin it myself. he lives cross country so it mite take me awile to get a hold of him cuz of the time change.

hmmm, a favorite character would have to be.....

um hold on, lemme turn on the game so i coukd choose

okay, i'd have to pick probably haku or something, he may lack in some combos, but i really like those needles that you can suspend in the air.

My favorite stage is either the chuunin exam stage, or the bridge

my favorite mode to play in is probably like, survival mode or something

In the next game I hope characters are not as cheap as Gaara was in the story mode. It took me a couple tries to beat him with naruto at the end. I also pray they make it so each character has multiple specials (though, I will not hold my breath...)

I can't decide who my favorite character is... I am best with Sharigan no Sasuke, Altho beating my friends down with my favorite character from the Anime, Gaara, is hella fun and so is pounding them into the dirt with several Lee Specails.

In the Bunshin Battle mode I have gotten to round 8 which i think to be around 180-220 kills but i have forgotten what character i did it with. I think it was Kyubi Naruto (because of his "unpausing" special).

I have developed a great speical combo with all 3 of my favorites test e'm out and tell me whatcha think! :)

Gaara: Down B, A,A,A,X

Rock Lee: (wall needed) B,B,A,A,A,X

Sharingan no Sasuke:
1. Down B,B,X
2. B,B,X
3. (wall needed most the time)B,B,B,B,B,X

FOR SPECIAL 3.(You have to catch their falling body in the air or IMMEDIATLY after they bounce off the ground Warning: they do not always bounce)

my favorite character by far is zabuza. My first and best. No distance attack so he is a difficult character but once you master him and especially his special, no one stops you. BUZZZIINNGG

After my last post above about my favorite characters specail combo's i was itching to learn of a combo that can beat your opponent before they even get the chance to fight back. WELL I HAVE DONE IT!!! Of coarse it is done with my friend Lee but it is well worth it to see this combo in action even if your not a very big Lee fan.

DIRECTIONS FOR THE 1 HIT COMBO:

OPEN THE GATES 2 TIMES

THEN

B,B,A,A,A,X

LET YOUR TARGET HIT A WALL BEFORE X BECAUSE THEY NEED TO START FALLING AND YOU NEED TO CATCH THEM WITH YOUR PRIMARY LOTUS'S STARTING KICK(Lotta good that does when you press X too soon and they fly right past where your kick was)

HAVE FUN WITH IT AND WATCH YOUR LIFE! DON'T DELAY TOO LONG!!!!

If you're gonna gamble on a combo like that you've gotta watch their chakra as well, since it's pretty easy to build up to that 70% point and use the replication technique. If someone knows you like to use that combo, it won't work on them.
