if you had being here posting with me in all the filler episodes that we discussed on here-- you will remember me bearing down on the necks of those who were lambasting fillers all the time.


But i dont think there are many or even any-- who liked fillers-- that still hopes for the fillers to continue. eSpecially knowing full well that the last filler episode is next week.

wow....this ep was a real letdown for me, i expected so much better...but i guess thats what u get when u get all hyped up over filler.

anyways, at least we got to see shukaku again and jiraiya(even if it was just his shoulder) and next week is the "setting out" ep, horaay!!!!!:D, cant wait

I think I've had 60+ episodes to complain about the fillers. I'm even tired of complaining by now. The only good thing is the cool openings and closing segments.

That being said, I wonder what the next episode. It's obviously part filler, but is it part storyline as well?

I wonder if I should save the next one as pertinent to the storyline.

General Feelings: Alright episode, bit of a letdown at times

pros:
- revival of the dead
- combination of the three other weapons plus a fire one. Pretty solid fighting package.
- shukaku comes out,
- they draw a fight out for more then one episode, some realistic emotions coming out
- well animated, pretty high quality production
- blood! naruto gets cut up pretty bad. Gaara screams. good stuff.

Cons:
- Gaara has no sand? But wait... isnt that gourd supposed to always protect him regardless of his will? The sand in that, isn't it infused with the soul of some old ninja or something, wasn't that the reason gaara was so fucking tough before, because no one could lay a finger on him, he was basically invincible? Remember gaara vs naruto? thats how FAR it went. Remember lee vs gaara? remember how shit kicked gaara was from lee and he still was able to attack after all that? fuck that noise.
- bad guy is the old founder of the weapons village who knew all along he would be brought back to life to kick ass. Im sorry, it just sounds really lame.
- Naruto trying to get gaara out... use the kunai, use his fingers, claw away, blood, shows his determination... BUT BUT BUT he is a ninja with a bunch of techniques. If there was ever a time to use the !overused! rasengan in a cool and useful way, that was it.
- or, how about fighting the main bad guy... doesnt make any copies of himself, doesnt try anything interesting. he runs and jumps. He's not trying hard, he's not even fighting.
- I understand its all for the sake of making the story turn out the way they want... but there are ways of doing it realistically.
- kid uses wierd string weapon to save naruto. He stops three wierd blue dragon things that they would have us believe carry alot of power within them , I.E. not so easily hindered.
- Gaara completely changes his fighting style for this battle... it was almost distressing to see it... but thats just more a personal thing. Gaara battles hard by standing still and using all his chakra to make more sand and then crush the opponent. He's not a jump around kind of character. In canon storyline, EVERY time we have seen gaara he hasn't been a hop around character. Boo.
- When did lee tear a ligament? I can only assume it was kicking that spiked mace. But.... still.... nice try guys.
- I really wanted to see some good action but instead got this. Not a terrible ep, but when you get hyped on something and get let down, it sucks that much more.

Closing thoughts:
- Im sorry for believing that they could make a filler arc, start to finish, that would be considered "good".
- Next ep better be wicked... they ruined everything for the sake of having outof control gaara as shukaku, better not falter now.
- LAST EPISODE OF FILLERS NEXT WEEK. EVEN SOME CANON INVOLVED. ITS ALMOST OVER. ALMOST 2 YEARS. ALMOST OVER. EVERYONE WHO LIVES IN VANCOUVER, LETS HAVE A PARTY.

I have to admit that this little story arc isn't bad for filler. It gives us an excuse to see Gaara in action yet again! I agree that there is plenty of "hokey" stuff that is/has happened, but again, for filler, its not bad. Anyone else notice that this Semei guy looks like a reincarnation on Kimimaro?

Almost done with filler, YAY!!!! I thought I was gonna die if the fillers lasted more than 20 episodes. O_O 84 eps later and one to go and I'm still not dead of boredom. The only good thing that came from the fillers was discovering a ton of other animes.

This filler arc sucked btw... All animations were shit, all fights were shit, lee was most shit, naruto comes second, Ino is so shit that she doesn't fit on the shit list, Gaara was shit #3 and the rest share shit position number 4. The enemys were more then shit, they were loose shit. And the new guy looks like kimimaru (the bone guy if I misspelled). Cant Naruto do one last 5 man taju kage bunshin and 23 rasengans and let the fillers be over with!!

And I really do hope they fire the filler animatiors! The shipuuden preview animation is the shit! Those guys that drew the preview should draw the shipuuden story! Or kishi himself!

if you think about this last episode, its basically gonna run along the lines of shakuku goes out kills the ultimate weapon guy, then naruto kakashi and jirayia wail on shakuku until gaara comes back - either that or that person he was trying to save will get hurt and he'll have that whole conscious moment were he regrets hurting them and then calms down. so what im wondering is in the end is it just gonna be jirayia saying to naruto "come on we got some training to do!" and then they walk off. that last part will take a minute so all the rest will take the remainder part of the episode which kind of sucks! hope that doesnt happen.

also not sure if i want them to go all the way through the kakashi gaiden thing, as i've already read it and just want to get to the core naruto show,

At last fillers are going to end. this last filler arc of returining the favor is better than preivious fillers. but it doesn't seem that they have returned tha favor.
Naruto is saved by Gaara and Kankaru and Temari killed their enemy by themselves.
