To play Japanese PS2 games, you need A. A slidecard, or B. A modded PS2.

The slidecard is basically a disc you put in your PS2..and alittle credit card like device you use to unlock the Disc drive and manually slide the game out in the middle of the PS2 game. The Modded PS2 comes in 2 fashions. A chip that you put into the system itself where it reads the japanese discs. or you can get a flip top.

I need to get a flip top soon, just for this game.

A flip top is basically a replacement part for the casing (you just remove the top casing of the PS2 with a screwdriver and then put the flip top one on). Doing that allows you to access the disk without opening the drive. I know using a 'Swap Magic' along with this will allow you to play import games and such. Overall it doesn't end up costing too much, and it's not risky to install like a mod chip. You can see a picture of them here (http://www.emulatorzone.com/catalog/playstation2/Mod_Chips/104.html).

From my understanding, you just boot the Swap Magic disk and then switch when it tells you to. Very much like a Freeloader disk for Gamecube.

The reason you need to either get a fliptopor mod your PS2 to use it, though, is because the PS2 is designed to notify itself of the drive being opened, meaning if you were to just open the tray as normal it would notice, and it doesn't let you swap disks that way (from memory, I think it still continues to run if it doesn't need to load anything, but when you put it back in it would check to see if it's the same disk and it wouldn't be, thus it wouldn't let you load it. I'm not completely sure on that, of course).

Yeh, your right. I wont be able to see it because im like the only person who kno about naruto in my town, and i have to giv my friends all my downloaded epps to watch. Yeh for some reason i like shino, it would be hella kool to fight as him.

I think we are going to see a lot more characters. In the first game most of the people were support characters. I think we will see Asuma playable, and Possibly 2 of the Hokages. And since they have Itachi and Kisame, we'll see Shizune and Tsunade ( since they are in the current saga).

yeh true, each game there just gunna add more and more charachters, but i hope they dont spend all there time on just adding new players and not inventing new combos and stuff.

Well i hope Tomy realizes that. That was the Taisen games biggest problem. Hopefully Taisen 3 will allow each character 2 special moves.

Yeh, it is kinda disapointing, but i beleive that the cell shading and graphics are beter on the Taisen games.

It may be better to wait (if you feel you can). It'll still be 3-6 months before Taisen 3 is released however.
