Being a fan of the show for many years now ive noticed a lack of quality in the later series....i believe after so long they have run out of material and the show is finally beginning to lose its charm after so long
who agrees?

I hate to say it...but yes. By now its just completely random and the charecters are acting not like themselfs. Like when marge started taking steroids.

yea, it is dying. i hate to say it but whenever i see it on TV, i turn the TV off. i hate to see them in that state.
It still stands as one of the best cartoon shows in TV history though.
I'm just glad to see that they still show the old episodes. They keep me from getting depressed. I think they need new episodes of Family Guy.

I wouldnt say that it is dying. It had its time (long time) and it is time :) for another show. It is not dying it is going to old man house :P :P
futurama is super cool better than family guy (which is awsome too)
but simpsons will be always present in our souls.
If the simpsons went off for a year or two, and came back it would be gain new life. The humor hasn't been as satiric lately, it is more flashy slapstick humor now.

the show can never die..
i mean it's the simpsons!!
they always come out with funny stuff
maybe their crowd was aimed a people
a bit younger and you just got older..
or .. animated shows need to go to
a higher level..
thus family guy =D

i still think the simpsons are great but it has been losing its touch now. thus matt groen (or something like that) has created futurama. Also family guy is great too

I don't recall
The simpsons have gone down-hill ever since the brain behind the operation left- Matt Groening.
He retired before these crappy newer seasons. That's why they are distinctly different in quality and style. They are funny in their own way, but more a random funny(which is good) opposed to a good blend of random, intellectual and just stupid in the classic eps.
the show's just getting stupider and stupider. but i still watch it anyway

It's true that newer episodes seem to have lost their creativity, and have basically the same storyline as previous episodes (usually caused by Homer's stupidity), but being a hardcore Simpsons fan, I immediately (and with bias) say that no, the series is as strong as ever. :)

I dont think its dying eiher besides i would be pretty pissed if they too k it iff the air becaue they already canceled family guy because it was too much like the simpsons but they going to put famil guy back on thair anyway, soo I guess i would like to think of it as "going to an old man house" *ahem* too....
