I do :). I liked how he walked, fought and spoke. He looked more dangerous than Orochimaru with this fur and only one eye. He was cool. It is a shame that he died so early. (one of the biggest kishimoto's mistakes :( )

he was pretty cool, pretty smart, seemed to rely on his little arm wave toy a bit to much but other than that neat, i kinda like how he died off, i like animes where characters are expendable, lends a certain excitement to watching it cause you know the author is willing to kill off his own characters...........or im a sadist, that too i suppose

It was cool the way he immediately recognized he could use his arm wave as an advantage against rock lee, and I really would've wanted to see whta he would have done against gaaa on that building......but he's dead.

am i the only one that didnt like the sound nins...if u remember they werent that good. they relied on their artificial items to win dosu(arm thing) zaku(air pipes) and kin had the bells. i didnt like them at all

Without ear plugs Sasuke and Neji would lose. With ear plugs the match is about even. Dosu has to land a solid hit to send sound wave inside one's body. I don't think Dosu could land such blow to Neji though. Neji is a taijutsu master and I don't remember Dosu being that skilled in taijutsu.

well, neji is much smarter then dosu, he can use his chakra much much better as well
if dosu can use his chakra to divert sounds, neji can do that as well without a doubt

I honestly did NOT believe he was under 20... the voice actor they cast for Dosu made him sound like a 39 year old man trying to fit in with the kiddies, like one of those Narcs they put in schools now days.

EDIT: Oh yes, Dosu was not cool. 39-year-old men who pose as kids weren't "cool" the last time I checked.

He was alright, I'm not really upset that he died...I didn't like the way that his fighting style depended on his arm thing, sure he controlled its direction with the chakra but it was still lame. Same with Kankuro, I really hate puppets though...

Sounds makes vibrations. Doesnt matter how strong something is it will be destroy by vibrations if it cant give vibrations to something else. The pink wall was only a wall :P so.....
but we dont know if it can be touched by anything. This anbu ninjas didnt attack it.

I think Dosu was cool. Good outfit, moved at the speed of sound (or so they said). And, hey! he was a tool user, with his arm, as a shield and weapon. It doesn't have to be ninjutsu or taijutsu to be cool. I wish there were more tool and weapon users in the series. Still, he controlled sound with chakra, that's nice (was nice; I mean). Another thing you haven't mentioned is that he had a super keen ear (1st phase, chunnin exam). It's a pity that cool ability of keen hearing was wasted with a character with a short lifespan. There is Keen sight on Sharingan, keen nose on Kiba, and psychic sight (or some type of 6th sense, clairvoyance) with Byakugan. I would have been nice If one of the gennin belonged to a clan with some type of bloodline power related to hearing. There is still hope, after all....

And, I don't think he was able to beat Neji. Probably Sasuke on first round, who was like s#"$"$t. Byakugan can see chakra flows more easily, and I don't think Dosu could do anything against Neji's offense. He would have had his organs destroyed and his chakra holes closed. With kaiten I don't think Dosu could be able to use sound on him.

i believe that kaiten cannot stop sound. but we dont know the range of the sound so :P
maybe there is sound clan in sound village and dosu was from it. Hearing what someone is writing is too strange even for anime. He had to have a blood line limit :)

But.... imagine what the sound ninja's musta felt at the Forest of Death. At first, they're planning an easy prey: two unconscious and one Sakura. All of a sudden, Lee pops out of nowhere. Well, that's fine... just slighitly more effort. Then.... Ino pops out of the bushes, followed by Shikamaru and Choji. Urgh! MORE PEOPLE! But still they can handle that..... BUT THEN NEJI AND TEN-TEN COME OUT OF NOWHERE!! It must have been one of their bad days.

And... I wish they had this scene. Three of the sound ninja versus one taijutsu ninja. Also, make that taijutsu ninja deaf.

I think that was cool. I think hearing is the best of senses. To the maximum it would be like a radar able to decipher anything that moves. Something like that one of Rurouni Kenshin, of the Juppon Gatana, who could listen to your heart and breath, etc. What Dosu did was physically possible but extremely difficult. He was just measuring distance diference between pencil movements and position. It is like the radar Daredevil had 8)

Sound is vibration of air. Kaiten Blasts air away too. I would be like stream of water crashing into the ocean's waves. After all I think he wouldn't have time to do any of that. Neji is smart and powerful. He is a Hyuga he he

I really want to see powerful Sound Ninjas (those 4 Orochimaru Bodyguards) performing advanced Sound jutsus. At Konoha's attack no enemy used cool ninjutsu. I didn't like that.

I'm just an uneducated kid, but I don't see how spinning around can blast air away. It can generate air currents, with Chakra riding along it, and that's how it knocks away attacks. Furthermore, if he knocks the air away inside the kaiten, he would have a vacuum, but only if he can spin SUPER fast, so fast, that air is not allowed to flow back in, and his chakra acts like a solid object. No clue about this, but could he possibly implode from the pressure? If he doesn't, it would probably take a great deal of chakra to maintain. The moment he stops, air would quickly flow in.

even stopping the air wouldnt prevent sound from hiting neji. kaiten would act like solid object so it would still "transport" sound. i think dosu would use kaiten against neji. spinning can make sound much much stronger. i think kaiten is uselless against sound. :P

Dosu can attack his opponent even without direct hit.
And even you wear ear muffs, you can't stop it coz sound can be transmitted in water, and our body is 75% water. 8)
