So far it has some issues I'm going to resolve soon....BUT I'm pretty happy with it. :D The theme will contunue in the next 3 pics...the red cord will lead to Sasuke while the sky will start fading to a dark red...then lead into the last pic of naruto with a red moon hanging in the sky...

Bah...I'm working on the Sasuke pic but he's not cooperating. Grr.

Anywho! Figured I'd share! Hope no one minds. ^^;

Thanks for the compliments and crits! As you can see I begged for them on my DevArt page so they are more than welcome. :)

As for how he looks, this is LONG before I ever saw him in either the manga or the anime. Looking back I wish I had investigated more but I was trying to not spoil myself...

As for my opinion of critiques....I only give them if they are asked for in the post. XD I've had too many bad experiences with me giving unwelcomed crits! *dies*

I started with a soft gradient from a yellow tone to a more redish orange. I then overlayed that with clowd shadows and then detailed some highlights on top. Does that help answer your question?

wow.. that rocks. The pose is nifty, the color is good.. and I love your lineart <3 Very good work :)

Since you asked for criticism as well, I will try to explain my one complaint with it...

It does seem a tad out of character for Itachi, but I'm not sure why. Maybe if you made his hair jet black, and his face more "cold" in appearance, that would help? He just usually seems to be kind of dead, almost.. I know that sounds weird, but he always looks very cold.. and the golden/bronze colors are beautiful, but they make him seem a little more alive than usual.
But again.. I think making his hair black would make a -huge- difference. I think even if you wanted, you could leave a brown shimmer in there, but to make it overall black would give him a big dosage of his original personality back.

It feels weird to criticize this, because I do love this pic.. but you asked for it, so there's my advice ;)

have to sat though, it's really simplistic from the actual illustration stand point. I can tell you used a illustration with few details for the color job to be that good.
