i cant believe one piece is licensed by 4kids. luffy is gonna sounds 30 years old, usopp's name is going to be changed into bill, sanji's to pierre ( complete with french accent) and nami's to linda.
that majorly sucks! :evil:

who cares one piece isnt an anime they can really change much cause it doesnt have any offense stuff in it at all. i dont think 4 kids could do much damage to this besides changing the names
4 Kids will make Luffy into Ruff, and Zoro into Zolo...
actually, from what i read..luffy's name is staying but the fruit is gonna be called "The Gum-Gum Fruit" (attempts suicide again, but fails..AGAIN)
i guess i'll read more before i go to the extreme with my razor blade
btw: just so people don't get mad at me, i'm joking about the suicide shit ;P

yeah I agree, the names of the devil's fruit are not exactly major, I would be more worried about them changing actual dialogue and story lines.
On DVD they'll probably offer the original voice tracks with subtitles.

who cares. people neeed to quit bitching about liscenced anime and just suck it up. most people on this forum probably would not have gotten into anime had they not seen it on one channel or another.

Okay so they called Conan Case Closed. Well at least they didn't butcher the anime like 4kids always does.

well...from this point nothing is for certain, except 2 things, Luffy's name is Luffy, and they are not gonna call them devils fruit... come on, what kids production thingy would use the word devil... this is just gonna worsen the anime, so i sugguest we stop arguing and start stabbing!!!

eh, Funimation licesnsed Yu Yu Hakusho here though right? and they didn't do too bad with that. I mean they softened some parts up(that are better on the DVDs anyway) but as long as the story is coherent and its entertaining enough I don't see the big deal.
Its different with DBZ, becuase as soon as that got big, funimation threw spikey hair on any t-shirt within' 100,000 miles from an episode.
Animation for kids does not make it bad. It just means they may dumb down some things so kids can get it...and throw in some wacky voices or dub different crap over it like the re-release of knights of the zodiac, or Duel Masters. But as long as the story is coherent, and the action is good for the action sections its still alright to watch it. The worst they do is get rid of some blood(Which isn't a big deal anyway).
Yu Yu Hakusho was easily the best dub I've seen... Especially the uncut version.

I think it is pretty bad when they take out the blood.
It severely ruins the realism of the characters.
Shows shouldn't be cencored for children, children should be cencored from shows, if you know what I mean.

I havent even seen the original version.
4Kids is the worst thing that could happen to One Piece.
Funimation is at least a little better.

It's a culture thing... In the Western world animations (cartoons) were always made for children (with a few exceptions).
In Japan animation is just animation....
Ignorant sods like 4kids don't seem to understand that, and it's obvious from their name.
I don't mind that 4kids gears the anime they bring over towards kids. It makes sense since Here in America we have rating systems for TV, Movies, Music, and Video Games. I like One Piece and I don't feel that 4kids could destroy the artistry of the series.
I feel they did a good job on PokeMon considering the series.

Oh wow i h8 luffy's voice... well its what would be xpecting, the show, yep its alright i guess i am not sleeping in on saturdays or rec on vhs 2 c how it is...
that F-zero anime reminds me of this anime call cyber forumla ... but cyber forumula acutally draw each car out n not use computer ... plus the car design looks so much more complicated but its also very very old ... 10 years of sumthing
