Naruto Chronicles:PS2 Naruto Game

Currently scheduled for release in North America next month, Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles is a third-person action game based on the popular Naruto anime series. In the game, you'll assume the role of the show's main character, Naruto Uzumaki, a hyperactive young ninja who's attempting to gain approval, recognition, and the title of Hokage by becoming the strongest ninja in his home of Hidden Leaf Village. The game's all-new storyline involves a sinister plot against the village, which you'll uncover as you progress through the game and carry out dangerous missions on behalf of its inhabitants and other friendly characters in the surrounding area.

Basically,this game is like playing through filler arcs...

Just imagine to game to be a filler, its not like they start from the beginning of the anime and then make a fake story, cause tsunade is the hokage in the game i think.

the game isnt based on any of the filler arcs so far as i know they have made up a story specifically for the game...imo.how things are going a post time skip game may do better than a pre time skip game...

Hey guys, just a question. I know rasengan is featured in this game.If i'm not mistaken naruto in cartoon network haven't reach the stage when rasengan is shown.So, will it remain as "rasengan " in the game? (yeah!) or will it be named something like "whirl chakra"?(oh no....)

i want this game so bad i played it at my friends it's awesome we played all night and almost beat the game it was hard

A small summary i made about the game:
I think it's ok,but it could've been better.The good thing was that you could fight with neji,shikamaru,choji,sasuke,gaara,kabuto,kakashi and orochimaru.The bad thing was the same environment that didn't change(or did change a very little) going through missions(,which were generally boring filler-like missions).Also i liked that u could take maximum 2 teammates with you on a mission..(list of teammates named previously,exept kabuto and oro)While Naruto being the main playing character you could choose to fight as your selected teammate by switching them with Naruto.Unfortunatelly it lasts very little time.Normally about 10 seconds,it depends on your stamina(chakra).The best teammate in my opinion is Neji,who can kill a single(plain) enemy with 3 basic hits,in addition he has kaiten(good to use on multiple enemies) and 64 strikes,which is awesomly cool.I remember the first time i fought with Neji(as Naruto) and he used that on me,got killed instantly^_^.While killing enemies,you gain chakra orbs and that helps your teammate to be longer in action.I didn't like that they made Rasengan seem very weak.It doesn't even have the power to take out one plain enemy.In Naruto mode you have this Nine Tail Gauge and when it fills up you can use the Kyuubi powers,which basically means that you are invinceable(movement speed is doubled,time is slowed down,you make shadow clones automatically and your chakra is infinite).Last boss,which is obviously orochimaru can be defeated quite easily by just playing as Naruto(your teammates then are Sasuke and Kakashi).I personally used Kakashi and his Lightning Blade(aka Chidori) and i finished Oro off by sticking my fingers up in his ass(you know,the ten thousand years of death :D).In general if i'd have to grade this game i would give it a 6(out of 10).Not very bad but not very good either...

its an alright game i have it, and yeah it is a filler game with some wierd ass missions. chronicles 2 looks awesome it has heaps of mad characters to be used.

number one there is only naruto sasuke neji chouji and shika. but number 2 has alot of ppl including gai.

num 1 u can only have the other members out for a limited time and also there is no 1vs1 fight, u cant vs a friend. chronicles 2 u can vs a friend and have tag team battle and also if ur on missions u can have secondry characters out for as long as u want well until they die or have no hp.

1 other thing that is bad about number one is there is game over like if u die it goes game over and if u didnt save u have to start from the start. it wouldve been better if it doesnt game over but u have to repeate that whole part of mission

On the scale of 1-10 can you tell me how this game rates? I'm a huge naruto fan, but I prefer t he techniques of the uchihas when fighting. And I have both ultimate ninja games and i like them, How would one compare this one to the ultimate ninjas?
