CHAPTER ONE
Hidan: It's time you felt the ultimate pain...Death!
Asuma: ...
Kotetsu: captain
Izumo: NOOO!!
Shikamaru starts running to Asuma.
Shikamaru: STOP!!!
Kakuzu: too late..
Shikamaru: almost there
Shikamaru then stops dead in his tracks, using his shadow stitch jutsu he grabs on to the hilt of the sword.
Shikamaru: Asuma!! i cant hold him down long, hurry up and attack.
Asuma gets up and runs towards Hidan, when suddeny hidan throws his scyth at him, asuma dodges the attack and appears behind him, asuma extends his chakra blade again, and strikes down, attemting to slice hidan in two.
Asuma: !!
Hidan grabs asuma hand, before he can land the blow and throws him over his shoulder so he's in front of him now, and launches his scyth at him once again, as asuma dodges hidan makes it come from behind him.
Shikamaru: no good, the jutsu's gonna wear off soon.
As the scyth comes from behind asuma, he jumps into the air. Kakuzu throws both Kotetsu and Izumo to the ground, and leaps into the air after asuma.
Kakuzu: aarrggh! this is taking too long.
Asuma sees both Hidan's scyth and kakuzu comming towards him, and extends both his chakra blades. As hidan's scyth comes close enough he slices off one of the blades, knocking the weapon away. Kakuzu then throws a punch at asuma, at which he retaliates by slicing off his hand, and throws kakuzu back, kakuzu then extents his arm, and lands a blow to asuma's stomach. as kakuzu lands, black string flows out of his arms, and reattaches his hand to his body.
Asuma:...these guys are insane...
Shikamaru: i have to help asuma, but if i release the jutsu, hidan will kill him instantly Damnitt!! Izumo, Kotetsu get up!!
Izumo: whaddya want us to do?
Shikamaru: just distract the big guy for a while.
Kotetsu: got it!
kotetsu picks up his weapon and starts running towards kakuzu. Hidan, seeing this, knocks kotetsu away with the blunt side of his weapon. as kotetsu is flying backwards he grabs on to the scyth and tosses his massive weapon to Izumo.
Kotetsu: Izumo, i got him!! keep going!
Izumo catches the giant hammer and runs towards kakuzu, izumo launches himself into the air, and smashes down on kakuzu. as the smoke clears kakuzu is gone.
Asuma: Izumo! move!
just then kakuzu appears in front of izumo, as he runs towards him, Izumo, prepares to defen. but kakuzu just goes past him towards Kotetsu.
Izumo: Kotetsu, look out!
as kotetsu turns around kakuzu lands a direct blow to kotetsu face, knocking him unconscious.
Asuma: izumo, give me your weapon, i'll keep these two busy, you make sure that the tatooed guy gets outta the circle. got it?
Izumo: yes, captain. dont do anything rash, the back up will be here in a few minutes.
Asuma: ...i know..
As izumo tosses his weapon to asuma, asuma jumps into the air, and lands behind kakuzu, and swings the giant shell down on him, kakuzu just moves slightly to the side, and dodges the attack. as kakuzu smiles as he's dodgin' the 'simple' attack, he is struck by an invisible force, and thrown into the wall.
Kakuzu: *spits blood out of his mouth* what was that?
Asuma: know your enemy before you rush into battle..
Kakuzu slowly stands up.
kakuzu: whats that supposed to mean?
Hidan: you idiot, he has wind nature, he obviously used it to extend his weapons reach...but that wont help him here!
Hidan uses his scyth (now with only two blades) and attacks asuma, distracting him from kakuzu's movements.
As the battle rage on, Izumo rushes to Kotetsu to make sure he's all right. Making sure he's un-noticed he sneaks up behind hidan, as he's keeping asuma on the defense. Izumo then takes off at full speed towards hidan. he launches himself at him head first. he rams his shoulder into hidan's back, knocking him out of the cirlce.
Shikamaru: Great work izumo!
with that shikmaru releases the jutsu, and throws 3 shurkien at hidan. hidan uses his scyth to block them, and impales his sword into izumo's shoulder.
Hidan: you shouldda thought this through better.
Kotetsu then gets up and jumps into the near by trees. trying to conceal his hiding place. he then jumps to some trees and finds a good place, and throws kunai at hidan, hidan is distracted and looks at the trees. at that moment izumo jumps back, away from hidan, and shikamaru grabs a kunai and confronts hidan. having him surronded from 3 sides.
Asuma: good, they've got a handle on things
Kakuzu jumps into the air and strikes down at asuma. but asuma blocks with his weapon and throws kakuzu back. before kakuzu even lands asuma charges towards him, catching him off gaurd kakuzu jumps out of the way. as kakuzu gets out of the way asuma keeps running towards hidan. hidan see's asuma comming towards him and throws his scyth in his direction, asuma dodges and heaves his weapon back at hidan. hidan then uses his sword to block it, and at the exact moment, shikamaru and izumo stab him from the front and back with kunai's, holding him in place. Kotetsu see's and opportunity and summons his giant hammer again, which disappears in a poof of smoke from in front of hidan and comes to kotetsu. he then grabs the weapon and charges towards hidan. hidan, still showing no emotion, calls back his scyth, as it passes by asuma, he grabs onto it, refusing him control over it. as kotetsu reaches hidan, kakuzu extend his arm, and punches kotetsu out of the way. hidan then grabs both shikamaru's and izumo's hands so they cant get away. kakuzu then grabs kotetsu's weapon and charges towards hidan. he leaps into the air about to crust hidan, shikamaru, and izumo, all in one blow.
Asuma: !! he's planning on nearly destroying his parteer just to take out shikamaru, and izumo!!
Asuma, extends his blade once again, and appears before kakuzu, and slices the weapon in two. as kakuzu is landing asuma rushes forwads and lands a blow to his stomach, and another one to his face. as kakuzu flies back, asuma sharpens the blade with his wind element to his second dagger, and throws is at hidan. hidan lets go of shikamaru and izumo and jumps out of the way. as he lands he starts charging at asuma, just then kakuzu gets up and charges at asuma from the opposite side. asuma jumps into the air hoping to get away, but kakuzu extends his hand and grabs his ankle and slams him into the ground. kotetsu then gets up and rushes to asuma's aid. but kakuzu grabs kotetsu and throws him at izumo, knocking them both into a wall. shikmaru gets up, and starts running to asuma.
Shikamaru: ASUMAA!!! GET OUT OF THERE!!!
just as asuma looks up at shikamaru hidan slams down his scyth at asuma, impaling his right tigh to the floor.
Asuma: AAAHHAHHHH!!
Shikamaru: I HAVE TO THINK OF SOMETHING QUICK
hidan then twirls his sword so he's holding it like a dagger, and impales it into asuma's chest, killing him instantly.
Shikamaru: !!! ASUMAAAAA!!
that scene had been too much for shikamaru his head started spinning, and he felt nauseous. and passes out.
Kakuzu: that was almost more trouble than it was worth. *looking at hidan* hurry up and do your ritual so i can collect the bounty on him!
Hidan: yeah yeah. whatever. you cant rush this stuff.
ok this isnt the main story this is just a prelude. i'll try to update it soon.
