Hey guys. I've been interesting in photography for a long time and I'm getting interested in blowing $500-800 on a digital camera. I have a basic digital camera but i'd love to get a beginner level SLR camera. I really wanna be able to adjust the focus and really play around with shots. Although I'm a huge beginner and would like to get some peoples opinions. Anyone own an SLR camera? What's a good brand for someone starting out? Any basic information you can give me on ISO/Lenses/all that other stuff I should learn for taking basic shots. Most importantly I'd like to find out what camera would be a good choice to buy.

Thanks for any help in advance! :D

I'll ask my photography/yearbook teacher. She knows, she just bought Digital SLR for 1200$.

canon eos 300 / 350 D

or

Nokkon d70

These two are the best for beginners. I self have an eos 300D.

Do you need tips for your camera choose or about shooting photos?

Here are some of mine:

These are the best two out there for the price range, not just for beginners though these are some pretty high spec cameras.

The D80 is one i would really recommend though.

Oh and its Nikon not Nokkon :P

Sweet pictures, really liked the courtyard with the waterfall, reflections on the building were sweet

Digital SLRs are really cool but im more interested in traditional black and white photgraphy. As far as cameras go i've always been a fan of Canon
