Hmm interesting. This actually looks like the start of what could be a very good arc. Watching this gives me the feeling the fillers will end after this one. Putting all the characters together feels like something they'd do to hype things up to get back to the storyline. I hope this arc works out well... it seems like they have an interesting story going here. For some reason the animation seems pretty weak to me though... like distance characters look poorly drawn sometimes. Shrug.

If I hadn't read DB's note at the beginning, I would have thought that the fillers were over. Also, I rather liked the animation in this one, the colors were vivid, etc.

Only the opening changed?NO- the ending too. i only said the opening not to give too much away. You are the one who complains about giving too much away before subs come out :P

as indicated all of the changes were in the animation sequences not the songs. and they were all geared towards movie 3's promotion/advertising

Shino seems abit showy 'cause of the his lack of Filler appearences. Counting time, covering half of Konoha in bugs... >_>

I'm a little surprized that Kiba wasn't used for sniffing out traps. It seems that checking a small area for traps would be better suited then something as powerful as the Hyuuga kids.

Which was another thing, Hinata and Neji on a mission. Nice touch.

Everyone screwing around waiting for Chouji. Tenten sharpening her kunai was actually kind of a nice touch too.

I'm saddened that characters like Ino, Hinata, Kiba, Lee and Tenten didn't get much airtime, but then again the show's not very long. Time needed for character development of the old man with Naruto. And Naruto's foreshadowing of the using the names of many of the genin, mainly those who boss him around.

Anyway, I'm hoping this turns out good. Like watching Law @ Order. ^_^

The OP and ED animation this week in Naruto were replaced with clip from Naruto Movie 3. Due to the extensive rework that would be required to our typesetting, there will be no karaoke or credits. You never watch them anyway, so why should it matter?
Also, I would like to say that timecop thinks "we all suck" for not replacing it with the normal OP and ED. And in case you were wondering, Naruto Movie 3 was in 9th place at the box office after two weeks, where as the first and second movie remained at first for several weeks when they were released. Something to look forward to.

This episode was good. Makes me wonder about a lot of the other fillers, and why the heck they stunk so badly. I hate escort episodes. HATE them.

That being said, I have something to say that probably shouldn't be said in the Anime section, so...

Why aren't they showing obvious filler material like the Jiraiya training or the building of Tsunades Monument? Seems like it would be better than "protecting random fuedal lords" or "Helping to make the best ramen" ones. I guess its because it would be "Not filler" and therefore forbidden to be made lest the manga readers get pissed.

It was a really nice and promising episode! The OP and ED weren't so synchronized with the songs (personal opinion), but the rest was really great!
I hope that the next episodes will be as nice as this one! Finally a nice scenario for a filler episode...

And above all...I hope the fillers will end soon!!!

That was number 5 of Hiyo's "Watch these series!" list. The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

The fillers have been pretty good the past few weeks. The animation is stepping up too, but the character designs are still off but there were hints of even that starting to step up (the scene with Naruto, Chouji, and Shika walking in the front of the group). Can't wait for next weeks episode.

Lol...sweet. The animation was so disporpotioned! Very annoying at certain points, but the plot was solid, so I won't complaint further.

The subbed link isn't bad... it's your system/viewer. Either the file is corrupted from your torrent program or your codecs for some reason are messed up at the moment. Try a reboot and watch it. Or redownload it.


Some of the animation looked like the ran outta thick pens and went to ultra-thin everysharp pencils.

man my sound is all messed up, like the subs come 20 seconds after they say it, and it keeps on glitching and freezing for milisecs, idk whats wrong, i watched first second of it and everything was messing up so is it worth it, i guess ill just use media player instead of divx, latly divx has been messing up movies but media player 11 can play them

ahh!!! just use VLC player. Everybody uses it nowadays. You dont have to delete your old players anyways. VLC eliminates most of those playback issues.
and then read the download sections tips on getting addtional CODEC packs (read the threads that ask for playback help)

Yay the fillers are getting good. Iv'e been the loving the last ark and this one. I'm actually looking forowrd to the next episdoe and the Op and ending themes were actually kinda nice for a change. I expect the last fillers to be awesome :) . I love how they got all the genin together. :)

I liked where they're going with this episode, a lot can be built off of ep.197's intro to the arc. More than anything with this arc, I want somebody to die. I dont really care who it is, even if its some random dude (excluding the suicide by old ramen guy) cause I've noticed that so much of this filler has the bad guys getting caught, and led off by ANBU or whoever. This looks more serious so im really hoping for a good fight scene where somebody gets cranked.

Okay, this kinda sucks. I was about to use the Sakura part in the new opening in ym newest AMV, but neither Adobe premiere pro 1,2 or windows movie maker could use the .avi format from the episode. Anybody knows what I must do? Or if I need new codex or something. this is really bugging the sh*t outa me.
