This episode was pretty good in my opinion. I'm partial to this team though. Anyway, again we get to see Kiba tell Naruto he sucks and Hinata constantly swoon over Naruto.

Horror theme was there, but would've worked better as a multi-parter and with at least one more team member. You know, the "pick off the heros one at a time" deal.

Oh well, next week looks like it might be good too.

Another stupid filler I didn't like it at all

Yeah... this one really fell short for me. It felt like a ScoobyDoo episode. Silly gags by Naruto, some seriousness by the others, more silly gags right up to the "bad guy".. then getting rid of the bad guy was super easy and they are all fine in the end. They are really stretching for content now :/ Oh well... hopefully some good episodes in a month or so.

Entertaining but useless. We actually don't even know if the men actually survived, this episode ended abruptly...

The relations between the characters could be worked a little more. I guess one episode is too short for that, unfortunately. Well, fillers are fillers, but I found this one average.
I liked the sequence where Hinata couldn't find good points in Naruto :)

Seriously, if he needed more force behind it he could've had Kiba brace him or something. Throwing it was just weird, especially when it didn't need to be thrown. Heck Kiba could've thrown Naruto into it rather then Naruto actually throwing the freaking thing.

My biggest complaint will all these recent arcs... with rare exceptions, we only ever get to see Naruto fight. I mean seriously, I want to see a 2 ep battle between Kiba and some guy who they gave a cool jutsu too. I mean, part of the point of the fillers was to give the supporting characters screen time right? Well fuck, they ruined it.

I hate how the fillers have become so dumb. And when I say dumb I mean that they cater information to us all at once. For example in the recent episode:

Tsunade: Go on a mission to X.
Team leaves.
Shizune: X?? Isn't that near Y... the places that's sad to be terrible haunted!

Or...

Naruto: Oh no! What does this skill do??
Evil_guy: Muaha, you cannot defeat me... for my skills does "blah blah blah!" ha ha ha! Just in case you don't have the cliffnotes let me describe it in complete detail so you can think up a way to defeat me once I mess things up! Then all the viewers at home will be able to completely predict how the story ends! ha ha ha!

It would've been a great episode if they had focused on more horror movie aspects and make it several episodes long. I mean they are in a mansion... Biohazard (Resident Evil) anyone?

Add more characters. Say Shikamaru and Ino for example and you have yourself the perfect horror setup.

Shikamaru - Leader / Person everyone looks to for a strat.
Ino - Bossy Vain girl.
Naruto - Spazz comic relief.
Kiba - Outgoing and bold.
Hinata - Well... The virgin. -_- lol

Pick them off one at a time over three of four episodes. Make the arch much more like a horror movie with horror aspects, and remove the possibility for use of jutsu somehow.

So now you'd have a crew of shinobi who normally are in control and have powers, are now weak and out of their comfort zone.

First you kill off the comic relief or the bold one. Since Naruto is the main character... Byebye Kiba. This works alot better with the comic relief being taken since you don't want funny anymore and you want the bold one to last. So for this, bye Naruto.

Then when things are starting to look good and everyone is starting to get hope through Shikamaru's plan, BAM! good bye Shika.

This leaving two girls and a guy. Normal horror aspect. Ino (Vain) is taken as Kiba and Hinata try and get her.

Either Kiba and Hinata both end it. (Bold and Virgin) or Kiba is taken away. This is either done one of two ways. Kiba is taken while saving Hinata. Or Kiba vanishes while Hinata's back is turnt. This can't be too flashy because it would over shadow the final fight.

Hinata stands up for herself and her friends that she thought she could've saved if she wasn't so weak, and for those who sacrificed themselves for her. This is very much in Hinata's character anyway. She defeats whatever it is that's taking them all away, everyone if freed. Comic relief makes a joke and happily ever after.

Now before you all start thinking things, this just happened to turn out to be Hinata and Kiba in the end. I didn't plan it, it's merely the theme of most horror movies. Perhaps it's because I like horror movies so much that I'm drawn to that pairing, lol.

Anyway that was pretty pointless to post but just telling WhiteFang that I think that this sort of cross over works.

Really don't get the link with Res Evil, its a large temple more than a mansion and there are no zombies! (sort of the main bit behind Res Evil). I would compare it more to the Project Zero games

But your idea to improve it sounded pretty good, I think this one would have been better even if they had just spread it over 3 episodes.
