Help! I have a whole bunch of Naruto on CD-R discs that I'd like to watch on my Mac. The episodes play just fine - except there's no sound. I know they're supposed to have sound, because the friend who loaned them to me had no problem with it on her PC. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

It's simple really. videos require CODECs to play them properly. if you dont have the CODEC for a particular video it may behave funny (as yours) or not play at all.

But first Download and install VLC player ( www.videolan.org )- a stable standalone player that comes with its own codec library. If it still doesnt play your files well, then without uninstalling the player (you will need it for a lot more files anyway) download a codec pack (egs are K-lite, FFDSHOW, MATROSKA). And install the codec using their standard installations(u dont have to fidget with any of the options that yu are asked). Then play the files again. if it stil doesnt work let me know.

NOTE: make sure the versions of everything you download are MAC compatible. Also, please post a download issue in the DOWNLOAD section next time. There are soo many directions in the section already for issues such as this. I will move this thread there later.
