1)What do you think of Temari's character, personality, and hotness?

Well, I have to say, she is a bit of a bad-ass:) which is always fun.
I definitely think that she is tough and sure of herself (though on the
inside she is still battling her own demons). But it is great to get to
dig into a character with as much strength and guts as she has...and she
is pretty good looking too, so that's always fun:!)

2)Is portraying Temari easy, or a hassle?

I really enjoy getting to play Temari. I don't always naturally have quite
as much sarcasm or attitude, so it is lots of fun to get to let it out
as her.

3)What made you choose the role as temari's VA?

I wish I could say I chose the role to play, but I was honestly excited and
thrilled to not only get to come in and audition for her, but then actually
get cast to play her. So, I can't say that I had any choice in the matter,
because I wanted to play her. I can say that I was attracted to her
both for her determination and relentlessness -- oh, and that she is hot.:!)

4)Which do you prefer acting in, TV, movies, or animation?

Oooooh, that's a tough one. I really enjoy them all - each for their own reasons...
On-camera work is different not only in that the roles you can play are
usually narrower in scope (I would never get to play a little boy...) but
also in that the way you work on them is very different. For my on-camera work
(both in film and on tv) I get a script in advance and can prepare knowing
where, when and what is going on as well as thinking about who "I" am and
the situation I find myself in....The journey is also usually clearly defined
- beginning, middle, end - and though on-camera usually isn't played out in order,
you have a sense of the entirety and can understand and 'know it' on some level.
Theatre is much the same with a sense of a real 'arc' for the character throughout.
I find that my work in animation is very fulfilling but in a different way. Rather than
getting to work with my 'acting toolbox' and prepare in advance by thinking about
my character and the situations, animation is often only a line of dialogue at a time (with very little context) which forces you to narrow the lines you are coloring within and focus on really making sure that you are in the emotional place you need to be and make sure that you are using your vocal instrument to express it....uh....kinda long-winded....I guess I like them all for different reasons.

5)Who do you think termari will end up with?

Oh, darn....would it be too easy to say Sasuke cause he's hot!?!

6)How does it feel to be the strongest female genin in the anime so far?

Um, did you see the Grass Ninja who kicked Naruto and Sasuke's butts in episode 30...But, I do love it when I see that she is pulling out THE FAN and I know some whoop-ass is coming up!

7)How does it feel to play one of the most loved characters in the narutoverse?

I didn't realize she was, but it would have to be flattering of course, I only hope that I am doing justice to her. I constantly try to make sure that I am being as bad-ass and rockin' in the booth and can only hope that translates into my work being good, which in turn hopefully lets the fans know I am taking it seriously.

8)How did you get into voice acting?

I pretty much woke up one day and said, huh, all those cool cartoons and commercials sound like fun and I know some actor is getting to play with them -- I wanna do that. Then there was a whole bunch of work, taking classes and getting a demo reel together, and getting an agent and booking work....:) Yeah, pretty much the same way you get into any acting (unless of course you are lucky enough to be discovered at Starbucks!)

9)Is voice acting your overall career, or are you trying to become tv or movie actress too?

I would say I am much more an on-camera and theatrical actress at this point, as much as I love doing the voice acting (and even though I am working a fair amount as a VA). I have more credits to my name as an actress in independent films, television, and stage than I do in animation and video-games. I am happy to say that I am just an actor though, so my career as a professional actress is going
just swimmingly, since I can say that I no longer have a 'second job' to support me.

10)What do you do right before and after doing the acting?

If you mean "do I prepare" - well, that goes back to the question about on-camera vs. voice acting. I of course prepare as an actor and come in well rested, and vocally warmed up and ready to work, but as a VA I rarely get the script ahead of time, so I simply can't prepare. I try to make sure I am ready to go though, and if there is a particularly emotional scene, I simply have to drop into it and then at the end, snap back out of it.

11)Did you audition for any other characters of Naruto?

I originally came in for the first round of auditions and read for Sakura. Vocally though I wasn't right, so I was happy when they brought me back in to read for Temari.

12)Do you have any other VA role other then bein Temari's VA in Naruto, in other animes or somethin?

Um, if you ever watched the Cartoon Network show RaveMaster, I play the evil villainess Reina. I was Jinny in Marmalade Boy and I have done various video games and other animated shows. I also got to play a few characters on the ILOVEBEES Halo 2 ARG.

13)How hard is it to do the voice of Temari? Is it fun?

Well, her voice is fairly close to mine. So it isn't extremely hard. The most difficult thing is making sure I am being sarcastic enough, since that isn't my natural take on things, but it is extremely fun and exciting getting to do the work we get to do and bring life into an animated character and see her take on a distinct attitude
all because of an inflection or vocal choice -- it is also fantastic to work with a director like Mary Elizabeth, who I trust to lead me in the right direction and who I know will get the best performance out of me to tell the story that is needed.

14)Do you have habits or superstitions you do or follow before acting as her VA?

Other than my own crazy habits as a person, I can't say that I do anything specific for working on Naruto.

15)Are you friend with other Naruto's VAs?

Yes, luckily this business is such that although we don't often work in the same room, it is a very small pond, and we rather quickly get to know one another. It is also amazing and unlike any other acting in that people are more generous
and less defensive about the opportunities and work availiable. I have never been recommended and given jobs so often as in the voice-over world by people who would be up for the same job.

16)If yes at the previous question, do u see them regurlarly?

Well, regularly in the sense it is a small town, and whenever auditions come up we all tend to run into each other, also if you know someone's session is right after yours you will wait for them and hang out to catch up.

17)How many candidates were there for the audition to be the Temari VA?

I actually don't know how many people read for her. I am sure it was a few, since I read for several characters that day as well, and I would imagine the other folks there read for her as well.

18)Were you surprised to be taken for it over people or did you believe you would be taken?

I know when I was auditioning, I could tell that they liked my Temari better than my TenTen....so I could tell I had done a good job with her, but she is also more my voice range and I am more 'right' for her than I would have been for say, Tenten. That said, I of course was suprised and thrilled when I got the call that said I booked it.

19.)Comments:

I am just glad that the fans are enjoying the show. That's why we do what we do. Rock on and practice your jutsu all you ninja out there.
