I think the world of naruto would be the perfect stage to build a MMOPRG!!
Imagine you can start from whatever village you want, that has there own set of jutsu they specialize in or whatever
You can chose BL clan's and start from there, but of couse they will have to give something up in exchange!!
Climb up the ranks take the chuunin exam, doing missions! All this stufff I can think is limiless!
Having a whole community of stuff, I myself would have 2 charactors, 1 from konoha a Uchiha of course, and a puppeter from suna!
What do you think??

Yes someone told me it was under construction, a firend of mine will send me screen shots of it and ill post them when i receive them, but that game would simply be the bomb, a game like FlyFF but based on Naruto would be sick!
Yeah a Freelance MMORPG based on Naruto would be AWSOME! Not only would it be fun to play...but it would be free as well! Because if they started charging money, then they could get thier @ss sued off by Kishimoto and them. :D The consumers win in every way!

I kinda invision you pick a village like, the same way you do on WoW, (w/ picking a race)
Then after the village theres something you do were you have a option to use a bloodline perticular to that village, i.e. you pick konoha, you can be part of hyuuga, or Uchiha clans
Or Shino's or shika's clan, which would obviously have jutsu's specific only to them!
The only thing is someone would have to draw up alot of other clans for other villages, and kishi would have to do all of that!!
Early on get experience doing missions, obviously, take the chuunin exam, lead a group of gennin on missions
Become a jounin and train a team of gennin!
The boss fights early on would be easy but as you grow in lvl.........
The boss fights might be a hassel cause I dont know how that would be done since there are no huge monsters other than the demons, which can be done
Then might fig some way to harness the power of the demons, have atkuski in there as bosses, and make it possible for everyone to become Kage's of their village, although there can be only one at a time
I fig the best way is the kages have to take on challenges from people who wish to take their place and defend the title!

You know what I would do? I would become the biggest hero in the village, so i would get assigned to protect the hokage or whoever...then I would assasinate them and become the most wanted man alive! :D Missing-Nins FOREVAAAAAA!!!

I'll be the lead Designer! I have tons of cool idea's for character, jutsu and gameplay designs! :D I also used to have some training with Blitz basic programing...I can dig the program up later and re-learn how to code if need be...
I wish I could I have the vision for it, I know exsactly what I want, the map should be huge just like wow, but look like the narutoverse and have the 5 great villages!

Well if I had the time and experience to do it yeah I would do it but I suck w/t computers,I'm young, and I have summer school work to do,Though I could try talk to some people and see if I could get some funding for you if you want to try though I really wouldn't be much help.

It would have to be a major programer, who is looking for a good title/platform to build there own MMORPG, Some of the things I'm still stuck on myself, and cant fig a way around to make fair, and Enemies like the one's that you fight in WOW, but doing missions the 1000's of jutsu's, nin rank, and different villages are a perfect platform!
A trade off if someone was to pick a BL, would be less chakra than other players, or when they activate them they use a ton more chakra, so everyone wont be uchiha, or Huuyga!
I mind spends around all the possibilities, there so many, and this idea in the right hands would be game of the yr material easy!
I wish I could suggest this to some of the higher up, to at least put that bug in there ear!

you should do it so that ppl can choose which clan they want to be from. but they have to reach a certain lvl to learn the bloodline limit. or how to use their clans jutsu's.
I wish I knew who to tell it to, I would in a heart beat!! And I was thinking that you dont have to get a certain lvl to get a bloodline, I look at it like this
Look At the difference b/n the 2, this is the template so to speak, I didnt put to much thought into it, but you get the idea!!

I suppose characters would be able to change class by doing a particular quest, like in Ragnarok Online? They'd start as students, then would raise to genins, chuunins, jounins, etc. That would be definately cool, but if you're looking for someone to make another MMORPG instead of a mod, I think your dreams will not come true.
Japan would be all ova this in a heartbeat, and the growing popularity in the US, I think it would catch on really quick, it would be the answer to WOW!!

dude just write to japan and give them the idea of an mmo and they'd probobly think of it as a good idea and give suggestions like wat they would have to do to get to a certain rank or something but the only thing is if it was possible to get to hokage only 5 ppl would be able to be one becuz theirs only like 5 nations but it would be an awesome game

I'm sure people in Japan already thought Naruto could turn out into an awesome MMORPG, but for now these games are not based on current shows, it would be an outstanding innovation >_>
The thing with the MMORPGs is that there would be a load of ninjas, this would ruin the atmosphere when compared to the show. Lots of people would love to play actual characters too, but that would be impossible to think in a MMORPG. The best we could have is a game based on Naruto's world without actually being this world, kinda complicated!

Yo, dont aim to large. WOW style MMORPG? AS IF! Thats free? when hell freezes over! Go for a small, 250 plaer max MUD and enlargen from there.
5 villages? start with 1!
Its not like Im making it, and I would go for it all theres no reason to start small no one would be interested in that anyway, it would have to be large scale and humongus like WOW! And to start lvl'ing up!

TBH making naruto mmorpg will suck imo, if you played any mmorpg long enough, then u would probaly know... its all about grinding and boring crap :).
i think the best option is to make a highly customized version of a highly customizable existing mmorpg, and keep it in small servers, with alot of mods which are capable of keeping the game instresting (aka events like chunin exam, it wont be scripted (most of it) but it will have mods supervising it and changing stuff real time).
im talking about things like Ultima Online Sphere Server and things like that.
i actually thought about starting to do it myself, as i have alot of experience with it, but sadly, in 3 weeks im joining the army :(
Well I dont know much about game making or the cost to keep up games like that, I never played them (if this one came out it would be the exception for me though) but I thought it was really gay to charge people to buy it and every month to play it, on top of their internet bill!!

I would LOVE if it there where a naruto mmo, but it would have to be set in a different time period, eg either before Naruto, or durning the timeskip. I also play this, which is based on the naruto world........

For bloodlines, they should do as this one does, you get randomly assigned a bloodline or not. It's fair and unbiased. You would put in your char's first name, and the computer give you a random second name for clan purposes, if you dont get it, then you can choose your own second name.

Yeah it would be good, but I doubt it is coming. There is too much to incorporate and I think it would be hard because everyone's abilities in the narutoverse wasn't explained in detail so that makes it very hard to be diverse in character selection.
Not to mention how long it would take to develope such a title, If they stared right now on it, we would be lucky to get it in 3 years and it would probably suck, it would need another 1 to 1.5 years to make it decent!!

True, but dont you think Kishi will make it for ppl to have kekai genkais? If so then those such as Haku's and Kimimaro's would have to be included, unless it is done from the present, then all of those would become null and void.
No, those all can be included but obvuiously something else has to give something that they cant get, or have too much of! Think about this Kimis BL users can only learn up to a certain amount of jutsu, or cant use armor or carry certain amount of supplies! Haku's BLood line w/ its range and power will be limited in damage, something like a shamin or something! I think if they wanted to make it happen it can, I just wish they could get this in there ear so someone would consider it!

theninja-rpg is the best i think.its a browse site online game..no graphic,no loading...just play like you browse a site.and it much look like naruto world..war, ally, raid, medic-nin, ANBU squad, and everything else. i feel like i am in naruto world~!
if i dont have the graphics I dont get the sinsation of the game but thats just me, I grew up on, and cant really do w/o them!!

Great idea. I've wanted to play a Naruto game for a long time, but they haven't made one for PC yet. I play City of Heroes/Villains regularly, but if they were to make a Naruto MMO, I'd switch without hesitation.
You have to realize of course, that something of that type game, it would be a major task to create, and develope.
When I saw your post, I thought, man it would be awesome if they could make it with the style of CoH/V with a bit of Age of Conan technology mixed in. I'm not a big fan of WoW, mainly because of the limitations in travel powers, and the god-awful map system they use. That's one reason I like CoH. The maps are very easily read and easy to locate what you're looking for.
If there is a Naruto MMO underway, I'd appreciate anyone sending me a PM to let me know a site or where a preview vid/screenshots can be found.

Not all RPGs use the RTB system. Ever play Seiken Densetsu, or kingdom Hearts?

Actually... I personally wouldn't like the same clans/bloodlines as we see in the anime/manga... I think it would actually be 100x more bad ass if you could make your own character and his/her specialties.

yeah if you can make your own unique character by choosing and mixing jutsu or something. seeing 100 narutos or sasukes walking around would be shit.
you would have a choice when you create your characters of male or female (obviously)
choice of affinity and once you get to a certain level you can choose your second affinity or maybe that affinity automatically gets assign to you. it will calculate how you fight and see what would best suite you. also you would get all the basic jutsu for that affinity then as time goes you develop other jutsu.

well they are making a dragonball mmorpg which is due to be released sometime this year in korea and then early 09j apan and maybe late 2009 US/EU
would be cool if they finish that and then start on naruto
would be around the same engine

u guys are nuts... forget about making naruto game ur self... after 2 - 4 months of work u will just give up anyway, cos if u want to make a game with the world as big as wow, and any kind of worth looking grapgics u need like 100 ppl working at all times (and they should all be experts in programing design and other stuff like that, which means they would work if u pay enough, and im not talking minimum wages...), that is if u want to finish the game at least in 2-3 years... if u realy want to make naruto game, better think about making a mod for another game... much easier, and faster, besides i would say 5 - 10 ppl in the team is all u need and it takes few months if ur quick. there is a good example, if u know this mod for half life - earths special forces. dragon ball z based mod, i never played a better dbz game on pc... ever... and its only a mod :) btw i heard that someone was doing the same with naruto, also mod for half life, i even seen a few screen shots, but sadly the project was abandoned a few months ago and they never finished it... :(
anyway, i didnt want to dissapoint u guys, but what u are talking about is imposible, and as much as i would like to play such a game myself i just have to be realistic... unles u can persuade a huge company like blizzard or whatever u wont get a naruto mmorpg, or if u do it will be crap...

I agree. You'd need Blizzard or Sony, some big mega-company to liscense it and have the work force to devote to it. I've never played WoW, but I'm into EverQuest. Best thing I think we could hope for would be a mod for an existing game. Only problem with that would be that one day you'd have beat it and done everything, and it'd all be over. Guess I'm just used to EQ; big frickin world and new expansions every so often.

Must admit making a Naruto MMORPG is a great idea. I reckon this could actually happen once the Naruto series ends this way the Narutoverse would be able to see the happenings in game. I'd be happy if Blizzard powered it, I would just worry about the combat system being sucky and graphics being poor quality. But I would take Blizzard over Sony, as Sony took over The Matrix MMO and ruined the game completely.
