How do I take screenshots?

I wanna get some great screenshots of Animes I like, but the normal Print Screen and Paste doesn't work. I heard there needs to be a special program in order to do this. Does anyone think they can help?

P.S. The animes are on PC.

hmm.. my computer came with a program called "photoimpression"

it's not all that... but i don't think it can take screenshots of a video....::wonders:::
