Im not sure if there is already a thread about it, but i didnt see it so im doin one, i know in the states, a lot of HS seniors are havin prom these days, so lets talk about it, after all, prom is a one time moment in a lifetime, so what was your school prom like? Was the girl you were with hot? For girls, its guys, well unless there are lesbos. Was after prom nice? Did you partied and get drunk like a mad guy? Here is how mine went, we had prom night, with the diploma ceremony and all, then we had after-prom, a mega-party that went til about 9 am the day after, i got drunk bad, i nailed 3 ladies! Yes baby, 3! @ at once and the 3rd one later that night. So now its your turn guys, seniors that is.

Well, I had my junior high Prom this year (Next year I'll be in 10th grade) and it was good, At first it was just boring, but at 12am it just got better and it was just good old fun... We danced all the way until 3am when the Mariachis arrived and everything became kind of boring.. but it was just good, I really had a great time :wink:

Nice catch dude! She's a beaut! Yeah I know sunburns, I had one a few years back that was near 3rd Degree, had to go to the hospital and have some pain killers...injected. Anyways, I didn't get to go this year, I will go to my Junior Prom next year though, 11th grade will be pretty tough though, I just hope I get through it slackin' as much as I do now. But yeah, I plan on getting pretty hammered at prom next year, that is if the girl I'm with doesn't mind.

Hah well thats my girlfriend of a year and a half now so nothing out of the ordinary. Oh except a bunch of us went skinny dipping after.... that felt great --> sunburn.

We ended up sleeping at a friends house(extra bedrooms) but it was probably the most uncomfortable sleep ive ever had.

I'm such a boring nerd lol. I went to my prom and stayed until like 10 pm. then me and my friends went to burger king and then we went to a 24 hour bowling alley until like 5 am.

I went to a co-ed boarding school of a little more than 100 classmates. So the scale of our prom was quite small. So no orgies like your after party dmrl. ;)

Yeah, my junior high was bigger, lol, and god knows how small was my junior high, lol! Anyway, my highschool was about 3000 peeps and we were about 500 seniors so it was a hell of a nice prom and after-prom!

well we were only 15 in my class! and we have no junior proms here, and my class had no prom! we spend the whole year saving for month trip to the USA!!! best trip ever!!! we drove from Miami to North Carolina! no mountains all the way!! T__T... here you see mountains everywhere you turn!!!

Yea I had prom last friday Our Limo came 45 minutes late and we were pissed off as hell. And then the driver wouldn't drive unless we gave the money first. @$$HOLE!!!! Otherwise, the prom was great. We had it at a huge hotel and it ended at like 1 AM.

After prom, me and 7 of my friends went down to Atlantic City. Only one of us could gamble, but our motel was 2 minutes from the boardwalk so it was awesome. It was sunny and stuff but it was windy and it was chilly at night. We had good times :) We had some rum, vodka, JD, and bacardi....we bought some heineken too....one of my friends had her iPod stereo so we played some music on that. Plus, our rooms had jacuzzi's;....You don't know how good that felt.

But now i'm mad tired cause I slept 2 hours on Friday from 5 to 7 AM. I slept like 5 hours on Saturday, and I slept 6 hours on Sunday and 5 hours last night. School Sux! but you kids should go to school...it's *cough* good for you.

Here we don't have prom's like you do - instead we have a week or two of celebration. Graduates are called 'Russ' and depending on which course you took you get either a 'red' - 'blue' - 'green' or 'black' uniform for showcase. This is related with our national day which is on the 17th of May.

Russ (Norwegian) is a cultural phenomenon and tradition in the Scandinavian countries Norway and Denmark. In Norway, students who graduate from high school are called russ and celebrate with festivities (russefeiring) during the first few weeks of May.
What most Russ do is drink, party and have fun, and doing havoc in the streets. :roll:

Indeed, it is a bit expensive though - the uniforms/crads/busses/etc costs a lot of money, and not all can afford to be a Russ till its fullest. But it is fun ^_^

next year I'll graduate - and then I'll be a Red Russ. Can't wait though I don't drink so I'll be a sober Russ - which is very rare during this time :)

It also has its drawbacks, I know... But I'm sure you also have lots of fun.. However, I have a question... What do you do to the bus once you use it? Do you sell it and split the money in equal parts or what?

Uhm well, we usually do sell it afterwards, as it is merely a temporary thing the Russ own, we sell it and get some money, but not near as much as we spend on it. We use thousands of money on repairing, installing music and kick ass surround speakers and lot's of more.
The money is split and we do get some back for all the money we have spent ^_^
Though the buss working is mainly something Russ in our capital 'Oslo' do, as of in my town we don't do this very often - we ahve plain Russ - Cars that we decorate instead.

We hace traditional coats for Russ - not all use them but the majority does, we usually draw something on the backs - mostly Anime chars or something we like - and it is a custom to write autographs and shit on each others coats:

This is one of my mates - he has a warhammer unit drawn on his back - usually the students from the Art - classes charge graduates for drawing on their coats - I'll be doing mine myself next year, as I am one of those art students ^_^

After highschool in quebec which ends at grade 11 you have to go to cegep for 2 years and my cegep graduation only 200 of 700 people showed up.

Lol, CEGEP is so gay, it makes us quebecers lose a year or 2 before the workin market compared to all the other countries and provinces school systems, we are the only place in the world functionnin that way, damn CEGEP! But i-feel_tired..., CEGEP prom is lame compared to highschool prom.

Actually you only lose out if you don't go to University. In Quebec a bachelor is only 3 years where in the USA and rest of Canada its 4 years. And if you never plan on going to Uni. just don't go to CEGEP and you graduate from highschool a year earlier than everyone else and go into the work force earlier.
My school actually provided an open bar since all the graduates were over 18, but I agree it was really lame. But, Marianopolis is run by the Catholic church and the dean is a nun so you can't expect much lol.

Haha prom...that was so much fkn fun! My school had prom at downtown disney. Before prom we were gonna eat at this expensive restaurant that we had to dress all formal and shit. I had to drive far, and my friend and I weren't even dressed formally ( jeans and shirt lol). So, we ate at BK, took it into our hotel room, watched wild wild west on TNT, and then got ready for prom. Talk bout ghetto ( eating BK), but it was fun.

In Greece we don't have "prom" like in the states. What we have instead in the last class of school is a five day vacation to an exotic place for the whole class (well some island with sea, sun and clubs). Its very fun experience.

Where I went to highschool there is only one prom The Senior prom. The people incharge fucked it up for me and a bunch of other seniors because they decided to have it on a boat which sounds cool, but the dance floor was like a 20 x 20 room, and for 200 people thats small as hell. So me, my date and a bunch of other people went to a night club instead and that was pretty fun.

Hmm... isn't it guys who are suppose to get the limos, tux, and condoms, and all the other "necessities"? I was under the impression that girls would only have to get their dresses and that was the end of that...

Perhaps that was the reason why I never even bothered to go to Prom. I just don't think it was all that worth it...

Lol no XD us girls are actually doing all the planning anD stuff. Were the ones worrying about the limo, dress, makeup, hair, table seating arrangements (which i have a feeling will be the worst part @.@), and after party. Dont get me wrong, i love the guys, but u boys are always so bad at planning this stuff cuz boys tend to have a bad habbit of just seeing something and being like ok that one instead of actualy looking around. XD so at least for us the only thing the boys hafta worry bout is the suit and asking a girl, even tho a few girls i kno asked the guys XD I can happily say tho that my prom drama has ended :) well..at least for now XD

prom was lame for me, and each one of my friends said the same... and every1 i always meet tells me their prom was whack... Somehow reality is quite different from movies, and there I was in a pimped out tux, a hot girl around my arm, and a bunch of friends inside an Escalade Limo... we even rented a beach house and bought a big ass box of liquor.

The girl didnt even go to the after party so I ended up getting piss drunk, and then a bunch of us had a pillow fight... no homo tho.

Then we ended up mad broke, and 8 people fit inside a small taxi and drove to the bus stop where we ended up taking a 2 hour bus trip from New Jersey all the way back to New York.

Also, we had a huge box of liquor with a garbage bag on top of it, and we were walking around in our wife beaters cause it was so hot, we looked like we were fresh off the boat.
