Ichigo's hollow

I was just wondering if this had ever been answered... but did his hollow come from the training Ichigo did with Urahara right before he went to soul society? Like when he put him down in a hole with the chain that was eating him into a hollow? He was on the brink of becoming one and I was just wondering if that's the lasting effect it had on Kurosaki. Or has he always had the hollow deep down inside?

omg plz ask stuff like this in the spam section and a question like this could have even been awnsered in the anime section but yes ichigo has a hollow in side of him because of urrahara's trianing.we don't know if urrahara planned it or it just happened

Actually it is insinuated that he was part hollow before this, he is a reincarnation of a liutenant that rukia mercy killed after a hollow possesed him. Explaining why he has so much spirit power, two already powerful souls joined together. This may not be the case, but a flashback would indicate it. I think it is also mentioned that this is a result of aizen trying to find a way to turn into a hollow.

yeah.. that's more what I was getting at - we know that his hollow came out because of his training with urahara.
But I was more curious to know if there was more going on with ichigo and his hollow than that. As we've seen with the Vizards, it could be inherently there already in ichigo.
What if he already had the hollow on the inside - instead of him simply turning into one? Of course, there's been no proof to lead us one way or another, at least not that I've found. But it'd be interesting to find out just how far back his hollow really goes.

he got his hollow side form urahrra's training it's as simple as that.thats hwy he's a vizard and the way urharra turned him into a shinigami might hav ebeen a forbidden way but he didn't have much of a choice.so that might be one way to create a vizard

So people are entitled to believe what they want to believe. I too am one of those that believe that it goes deeper than "the hollow was created during ichigo's training." I believe that the hollow was already there, the training is just what brought it out. I have some pretty long winded theories about all of this that I stated in part, but I don't feel like going into it now.

I think Ichigos sword plays a role.

Remember when Ichigo had to become one with the Zangetsu? Zangetsu was able to be in communication with his hollow side, im pretti sure that has a role in it..

ichigo's hollow is ichigo.it's just like his sword zangetsus your right.but it's more in sync with him.like someone having 2 personalities.

yeah, ichigos hollow side is part of Zangetsu i believe,

ive also had the though of Zangetsu being the reincarnation of that lieutenant

zangetsu is merely ichigo's soul in weapon form, so the spirit of the sword takes the shape of the dominant spirit in ichigo, when his shinigami side was dominant, it was the cool dude,with black cloak and shades, when his hollow side started to dominate, then it became the hollow...thats about it...

Eventually it will be brought out how he got it, and I have no belief of what it came from one way or another.

I'll just wait until HOWEVER it got there is confirmed. Anymore is just theories.

The best bet is that he got it from training from urahara, cause how can he be born with a hollow in him naturally....cause of u think about it when his soul was human, if he had the hollow in him, he would have become a hollow...., but its debateable

And the hollow face and kain's hollw face are the same. Plus his spirit energy wasn't at a high level all the time. It was simply leaking out like a leaky faucet. Once He became a Shinigami he basically turned the water on. It's the same explaination of his uncontrolable power. If his power wasn't very high to begin with due to dampening, The hollow would have also been dampened. The stronger Ichigo gets, The stronger the Hollow gets.

i'll love to.umm for your power to be leaking out the way it was for ichigo it had to be strong.only vice captains and captains power leak out like that and thats why they have seals put on them when they go to the human world.there is no sign's that ichigo could have had his hollow before.we all saw his training with urharra he was turning into a hollow the mask was developing over his face.but he fough tit off and turned into a shinigami.and when he was finished we saw the hollow mask on his face.my theory is that urharra turned him into a vizard at that moment.urharra was sending him after Aizen and the device.if Aizen managed to escape with it and make arrancars he would have ichigo a vizard as back up to fight off the arrancars.not to mention ichigo's mask started to show up when he was fighting shinigami of vice captain class and higher.

Eh I think you guys forget - the fact that Rukia had that thing that merges hollows and shinigami inside her when she gave HER powers to ichigo, that probably affected it more than anything else since she apparantly pierced his soul with her sword :D

the piercing his soul with the soul cutter is how u transfer a shinigami's power to a human, remember, hougyoku is seperate from rukias soul and buried within it, so it wouldnt have an effect on ichigo, we dont see the appearance of the hollow until the training with urahara when he comes out with the mask...unless otherwise stated it would be smart to assume thats how he got the hollow power, afterall u forget that there are other vizard who most probably havent come into contact with hougyoku...

No, actually hougyoku was already in rukia cause aizen said if he had known he woulda stopped rukia from leaving to the real world and gotten it sooner...but then again wasnt it in the gigai that urahara gave her....now i am confused,lemme go back.

edit: i checked and u are absolutely right, hougyoku was in teh gigai that he gave rukia....so therefore couldnt be the cause of the hollow in ichigo.
