Well, this weeks manga chapter kicked some MAJOR butt. So it makes up for this anime episode.

Lol, this episode was so f***ed up, it was hilarious, I was laughing throughout the whole ep. ^^. This was the first time I've seen Shino's mouth, this reminds me alot of the "Under Kakashi's Mask" episode. Creepy >.>

I thought the episode was great, the animation GOD was flawless it was as if it was a non-filler. Shino laughing=scary... <3ed end when shino threatened naruto... I hope they keep the future episodes at this level of animation...

p.s. The next episode, it could be just me but I sware naruto is wearing a new costume/uniform/clothes... They look pretty kool too...

I thought this episode was terrible. I didn't find the joke funny and you could tell as soon as Shino saw the old lady leaving the village after he was poison that she would end up the old man. Predictable and pretty stupid. Shino's laughing was very annoying.

The only good part was Shino threatening Naruto at the end.

I usually don't mind the fillers but this one was probably one of the worst episodes. I think I'd rather see crappy filler arcs then single episodes like this.

Sigh.. I remember when I watched the preview for the next ep when Rock Lee came back to fight kimimaru. I got so excited. Then the episode was great. In fact, thats how most of the series was... until episode 135 when Mizuki escaped from Prison. Since then, its been a slow degredation into awful. What I dont get is how they can keep doing it without anyone saying "hey, anyone ever thought about making a good filler arc?" I mean.. there have been good moments, raiga v lee/naruto, I gues the Mizuki fight at the end wasnt bad... but seriously... we're drowning here.

Thats a good point, you would think the old man who pulled of the whole joke would've been mad that everyone was busy trying to make his son laugh to get all the money. Not once at that funeral did they actually take it serious. Then the old man comes in and the only thing he mad at is that they don't laugh enough.

i personaly like this ep lol, very funny for most part and have a nice message to it , money cant buy happiness and family, the dad try to teach his kids lesson in a weird way but it work and it tied with naruto sumhow lol.

Probably not. Although DBZ would have if they didn't extend the fight scenes to like 15 episodes per fight.

But DBZ was a great anime! I don't care what anybody says, DBZ will always hold a place in my heart for having some of the best fights ever!

Ending fillers is long overdue IMO, but check leafninja, up to 191 are fillers.

anyway, this episode was actually the first filler that was so bad that i watched it, and then immediately deleted it from my hard drive. I didn't find anything funny about it at all, more like the animators were DESPERATELY trying to be funny, but i think they failed miserably.

I wouldn't mind filler nearly as much if the animation quality was kicked up and the stories were actually somewhat interesting, not always with naruto finishing the episodes off. He has such a limited spectrum of jutsu. I'd like to see more action from people like temari, shikamaru, gaara, and kankuro. A well-animated lee fight scene would also be nice.

Well one of the producers claimed back in October in a magazine that the fillers would end in the spring. July 21st is the end of spring and the 3rd movie comes out just a couple weeks later. So really they are still on track with what was claimed months ago.
