pretty decent chapter. i thought it was good. and dude is sasuke fast. i think he will own naruto again. but yamato sai and sakura will come to help out and oro and sasuke escape.

great chapter.... sasuke still likes to talk... still the same as before, but he never says his true feelings. It's like he's trying to convince himself.
Anyway, where's oro during all this? He can't be that much slower than team 7. Maybe he's watching to see what sasuke will do, but you know he wouldn't be too far from his "precious container".
Anyway, Sasuke couldn't kill naruto before and he won't be able to now. Looking forward to the next chapter!

I do not believe saskue for a second in his speech but i hope it gets naruto charged up for some hardcore training later. That is when he makes the biggest strides when he falls behind saskue. They were to close in that last battle so he did not train hard enough in time skip.

Its funny how he doesn't really care about anyone outside of naruto


A fight now would stink since naruto is tapped out of juice need some recovery time. It would be a lot of unjust bragging since he is not fresh. Or maybe he can use the forbidden jutsu. I think its seperate from 9 tails charkra thing since I do not consider it a jutsu. ITs to early to resolve this story line at this point

Lastly I still think Itachi would destroy saskue just like when he tried to chidori him earlier. It would be against the running theme of the series.

Kakashi's grown into almost a father-like figure for sasuke, it's a shame he's not there right now.... i'd love to see him go at it with his new mangekyou.
Anyway, I think out of alll of team 7, Kakashi cared for Sasuke the most, and spent the most time with him. I loved his talk with Sasuke on Chidori about how it wasn't to be used on friends, and he should know what it's for.
There's gotta be some future confrontation with Kakashi...

I don't think sasuke needs mangekyou to beat itachi - what he needs is some training from Gai - some nasty taijutsu would be sweet - could you imagine sasuke opening up some gates on itachi?
You avoid the eye contact - using his sharingan to watch his movements could make this even easier, and sasuke is smart enough to get out of some of itachi's more basic "finger genjutsu"
But right now, I don't know what training Sasuke's undergone, but I doubt he's good enough to beat itachi. We haven't even really seen Itachi's real power - I would be highly dissapointed if Itachi hasn't been training himself and becoming stronger

I think the most obvious conclusion will be that this Naruto is actually a bunshin, since we know he used the technique to look for Sai a couple of chapters ago. Then we will see a bit of Sai Vs. Sasuke because Sakura will be crying and Oro will be fighting Yamato, IMO.

You certainly have a point there on the bunshin. i have thought that myself. But at this critical moment it looks like that is the real naruto.

sasuke has never been my favorite, but i like his character. His development right now is just great- straight to the point and no nonsense.

I am most glad that he said the same thing i have been saying about naruto- his main goal was to be hokage. How is he going to achieve that since he has made sasuke his only goal now?

i am quite excited that sasuke went straight for the jugular- somebody is gonna get beat real good. i cant wait.

He's nowhere as near fast as Sasuke, and Sasuke doesnt even have his sharingan on, i really dont see how Naruto even compares to Sasuke now unless he learned more over those 2.5 years than he's showing, I think Naruto will always be just a tad bit behind Sasuke.

If you're talking about the second option then I'll agree with you but there will still be some teams that will give them a run for their money. But if you're talking about the current team then i think it is pretty much evened out with all the other teams IMO.

After re-reading Kakashi Gaiden i finally know what you lot are on about, I think Naruto might know it but it's not going to be 'THAT justsu'. However i think it'll be pretty cool if Naruto used the katon jutsu against Sasuke.

speed doesn't mean you are strong or unbeatable. I think lee is faster since he has nothing else to work on. No genjitsu or ninjitsue stuff to train. All he can do is run around with more weight. HE will be completely one dimensional but i willing to bet he is still fastest besides gai without the gates on.

sharigan just improves insight to coming tai jutsu after reading some back chapters doesn't make you stronger. Sasuke will beat narutoe now but the margin is small if they were both fresh. But imagine if naruto had killer instinct he would be unstopable. I mean he doesn't like to kill and he is not really going to go all out to the death against anybody let alone sasuske since it is his friend. A dark version of naruto would be way out of sasukes league.

How many think if sasuke lost right now he would just commit seppeku (sp?) with that katana.

I think Lee is still faster, if only slightly than Sasuke...no doubt Sasuke is a genius, matched Lee's speed in a month, trained under Oro, and displayed his startling speed in this latest chapter...but taijutsu, thus speed and agility is about the only thing Lee's got...he's not a conventional genius...he cant do jutsus, he cant depend on his drunken fists or gates as standard weapons...he HAS to have some form of edge to justify his relevance as a character. Every character has his own unique ability...only Lee is supposedly deficient in almost every aspect...

thus I feel Kishi must have reserved these requirements of executing taijutsus effectively for him...though he was marginalized during the fight with Kisame, even TenTen Neji were caught in the bubble too...and regarding him not being able to break out of it...well it wasn't meant to be broken out of by mere strength, even Kakashi couldn't get out of the bubble when he was trapped by Zabuza

I have no doubt that Lee will be owned by Sasuke...but Lee is most probably faster than Sasuke, if only by a little...

Speed is a apart of Lee's strengh. Gates is his sharingan basicly.

imo i still think that lee is faster. becuase people are saying that sasuke has been training with oro for 2.5 years he has to be faster. first off oro isnt super duper fast like lee or gai, so i dont see how he can train sasuke in speed. second when we are first introduced to sasuke again, the first thing he did was use a genjutsu that mad sai piss his pants. that most likely means oro trained him in genjutsu. so he's more like itachi now. strong in genjutsu. and above average in everything else.

and if sasuke is as fast as lee he will get tired out way faster. becuase his body hasnt been training at that speed since he was like 5 or 6 like lee has.

Thats what the argument has been for like the past few panels/posts even if he can match his speed, which is possible he cant keep it up nearly as long, lee can keep it up for days and possibly go even faster and then open gates!

i dont know why people are still comparing sasuke and lees speed. why fight over 2 potentials when only one is known? Have we seen lees speed now? On top of that sasuke hasnt even used the sharingan yet, not even one-dot. More so, not even the cursed seal has been activated!!! why compare so soon.

anyways, i am expecting sasuke to be really powerful. i remember the incredible strength of a sickened kimimaro and his speed. What if sasuke is as strong or even stronger.

Yea I'm really interested in naruto's ability now. I want to see him sort of match up to Sasuke's. We always see Naruto as second best but now hopefully we get to see Naruto in all out action without his Kyuubi form (although I do feel that Naruto will release his Kyuubi powers in the last minute).

i do agree with you, some people actually say that will can beat a gengitsu though. if it is true lee might get out of a weak one since he fought while he was unconsious and torn to pieces.

but i dont think will can get you out of a gengitsu, but after youre out it wont do as much mental damage 9like kakashi didnt pass out right afte rbeing mangektyud and itachi said it was cause of his will i think)

He didnt look fazed cause all he could think about at that time was that sauske said he sparred his life off a whim, he most likely thought that he was alive cause sauske still cared for him and hes in shock right now!

Mabey just because its sasuke naruto doesn't really care what happens to him at the moment because they just met after so long. sakura is a chuunin. Thats got to count for something. Her display against sasori underlines that. Of course she would have been killed had it not been chiyobaa. Truly they would both had been killed had it not been their respective medical jutsus and expertise. and of course sasoris choice to die (i still dont understand why he just stood there and got hit).

but looking at the company in which she is, people may still underestimate her. Look at Naruto, he can fight on par with a sannin (in kyuubi mode). Sasuke is an original genius- nothing more to add. Sai and Yamato are both good and in anbu. the sick sensei, kakashi, is a super genius. You look at the company she is in then you must understand why she is usually underrated. especially since she sucked in those days.

so, it is quite a bias if somebody thinks she is weak now. or hasnt improved. She isnt, and she has improved a lot. But i dont think it is on the level of kyuubi transformations or sasuke's sharingan and cursed seal levels abilities. what more can we ask of her?
