I appreciate what they tried to do with that ep, but it was still subpar. Why does every fight haveto end with the main bad guy getting some sort of powerup... frig, lets steal the curse seal idea a little more.

In relation to most of the previous episodes it wasnt that bad I guess though... I mean, the other jounin in that village, they actually animated them.

How was naruto the only one to dodge that blast? I mean... neji and lee are both taijutsu users, they should have faster reflexes then Naruto.

I thought this filler arc wasnt too bad... untill that final battle. I mean come on, when will they get some decent ideas. Every time we see a big bad guy he gets some extra power and then naruto uses a rasengan and its end of fight.

And what was up with Sumaru's mum coming back from the dead to 'lend' naruto her power.

this episode was drwn out, that flashback was stupid, and the end where naruto and sumaru quarrel was lame. the fight was lame, too short for all that "power" and i was expectin a lil fox at least since naruto got all worked up. all and all...LAME! but better the chef nin so i guess its a step somewhere. pryin for kakashi gaiden. at least somene dies, no one watches anime for the uber happi endings... :roll:

I found this episode rather nice, in the way that it was the last star village filler! I hope the Kakashi gaiden will start soon and the story goes back to the main story!

I liked the star village saga until the last battle why couldn't they make it a little more exciting i mean Akahoshi transforms uses his powers once and then what do we get? THE FLYING NARUTO RASENGAN! THE END

I hope they start doing 1 episode storys from different characters like the one coming out next with Kiba, at least we may gain some knowledge from those.

Anyway, i found the conclusion to this arc very underwhelming, and it seems that they're just going back to the filler rasengan. I would've liked to have seen more berserk mode action similar to when naruto wasted mr burns. I was wrong assuming that his mom would be healed and come back to life, but i found the whole peacock rasengan to be pretty lame, and that song is also annoying; a failed attempt at being dramatic when it was more funny considering the southpark animation, like the last episode when sumaru got mad.

That said, this filler arc was better than most.

even so naruto hasnt beat a jounin in one hit before, and that guy was alot more powerful the a jounin notice how he decimated the village ninja (more then one jounin in there) in one attack.
killing kazekage was a achievement for Oro and it was definetley not a easy fight otherwise he wouldnt have had the sound 5 and Kabuto with him.
The hokage is just the kage of kohona the most powerful village right?

The hokage was reknown as the strongest of the kages. Anyways... this village sucked... he relied on 4 konoha nins to get the star back instead of his own villages jounins. Doesn't say much for the power of the village. Thus the reason it's not one of the top 5 villages.

Also... he had a freaking fairy feeding him extra power.. fairies are BADASS!

I thought this episode was decent. The story fit at least and at least it's over... alot better than last episode.

As for Naruto being the only one to dodge.. think back to when they were going after sasuke.. shikamaru said that Naruto had the best reflexes/reaction time of all the people there :P (Neij included :P)

This episode gets a 9/10 just for being an end to a long arc and getting me closer to the main story :P

I think it wouldve been nice to have seen, instead of Naruto finishing the fight, to see Lee Neji or even Tenten pull the finishing move. I think the reason theres so much complaint every time Naruto ends a battle over lack of imagination is because weve seen naruto end like 30 fights since the beginning of the fillers. All these other characters have such awesome repetoirs(spellng?) yet are never allowed to go all out. Oh well, manga arc is one week closer

good episode, the arc story was grat the animation was on the low side, the ening of these arcs are starting to bug me a bit because thier so repetetive, and the dude at the end looked like he had sasukes(w/cursed seal) hair...lol Nect filler looks great, i just with the animators wouldnt be so lasy and actually work on an episode, im sure a whole lot of peeps would stop complaining lol but beggers cant be choosers eh?

That's very true about the general opinion of the people that watch and then complain. They need that labeled to their heads.

I think it was good to see the end, though I though Sumaru was gonna kick Akahoshi with Naruto rather than get knocked out by a group of exploding tags. I agree with the other person that the other Konoha gennins need to add to the finishing maneveur that Naruto doe sinstead of him doing it alone.

And people can't get everything they want. :lol:

most of the filler stories havent been quite inspiring, original but not quite different in terms of animation, quality, ending, etc.
Just live with it- and lets hope at least in the next month fillers end. Or the fillers that come after this, there will be more, are of better substance.

i doubt it, the naruto filler animator do not know what naruto learns during the time skip with jiraiya and so three years of fillers is kinda nonsense unless they did three years of fillers of just naruto training with random genin like, ino and chouji and them
and i don't think it will be popular by then, they will probably just cancel the show

I think you missed my point. I know that because it is Naruto's show, he obviously will get most of the screen time and the story will revolve around him. What I am saying is that, all the other teams, he has just been tagging along on recently. You dont see Kiba getting thrown onto Neji's team out of the blue, its just not very realistic. Because not showing naruto for 4 episodes makes people shit themselves for some reason, you could have Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi go on a mission in conjunction with team gai, have them work towards a common goal, and maybe even meet up in the end. That way, the other characters in the anime dont get drowned out by Naruto getting to have the last say in everything. I mean, it was sort of a fluke that Naruto beat Neji at the time, and even if it wasn't, we all know that Neji is uber strong. So we just had a 5-6 episode arc and all the fights in the arc had ONLY Naruto + Bad guy. Even when Akoshi was kidnapping Sunmaru, Naruto got involved. Its just not realistic. Of course you can say, "its a cartoon about 12 year old ninjas,.. its not ment tobe realistic" but Im talking realistic in the context of the show. We didn't get to see Lee, Tenten or Neji fight at all in this arc. Not once. The closest thing was tenten knocking away some shuriken with Lee blocking them via barrel.
Its just a shame, fillers arent necessarily a bad thing and can be used to enhance the storyline and characters in areas where the author didn't have time to expand, etc. For example, look at OnePiece fillers. They enhance the actual storyline and set up fights for other characters. Its just frustrating because we have so many complaints about "ITS ALL JUST THE SAME WHEN WILL NARUTO DO SOMETHING NEW". These people have it wrong, its not naruto that needs to do something new, its the other characters that need to do something. The Mizuki arc set up the fights so that Iruka, Naruto, Shika, Ino and Chouji all had their own fights, even if they were kinda shitty. We got to see good screen time for the Ino-Shik-Cho trio. This helped balance out Naruto's screen time.

Basically what Im saying is, its not even like they are trying at all anymore. Its just ... how will Naruto save the day again. How will Naruto get involved in every fight. As a result, it is getting repetetive and the anime is losing a great chance to give other characters screen time. Im not saying Naruto should dissapear, Im just saying that he doesnt always need to be in the hot seat. The second Naruto movie found time for all the other characters to have battles, its really not that difficult...

But yes, about complaining in general(what I just did) I think its reasonable that people want to bitch about fillers. Its because, fillers are bad. If fillers were good, I wouldn't bitch about them. Raiga v. Lee and Naruto, that episode, I said "this was a good episode, the animation was nice and I enjoyed it". If this had been a good episode, I wouldve said it. You cant give me 134 chocolate bars then try to feed me shit and expect me to be happy.

dude these are fillers. you should ask the filler makers to stop making him use it, kishimoto doesent asociate with fillers (he might just agree or disagree to the overall filler idea but i dont think he really cares)

Alright well apart from the few innaccuracies of this post, there was an interesting idea brought up. What does everyone think of Naruto losing his memory(via enemy jutsu) at the beginning of an arc, and spending a large plot arc regaining them. Its already been done a little bit in other places, but i think that wouldve been interesting. Have him re-learn kage bunshin/rasengan I dont know, I think that might have been interesting

What I mean is that Rasengan is treated like the saving grace to any fight. It's become so obvious - distract the bad guy while I can do this and kick his ass.

Agreed. Its overused, but on the other hand, Naruto doesnt have alot of other powerful finishing moves that he can use. The closest thing is Naruto renden, which could be utilized more. I think its realistic that he uses rasengan so much because its his trump card. its his surefire way to win the fight. In a basketball game, I do what works. Same concept.

I think the real issue here is that the other characters have gotten so little screen time in relation to Naruto. If Lee had finished that battle, that wouldve been one less rasengan in the world. Against Raiga, if tenten had been the one to initially beat Raiga, again that would be one less rasengan. Bug lady, if instead of Naruto rasengan'ing the bee at the end, if Kiba and akamaru had finished it. Its just that because the show is called Naruto, the writers have given Naruto countless fights. As a result, we get to see his few strategies, which were exciting in the beginning, overused countless times.
Dont blame rasengan, blame writers.

and its quite stupid as to how all that was needed was another rasengan to actually break the star... i mean the rasengan wasn't even a special one, as may be compared to that in the movie, helped produced by temujin, which was distinguishable as having an red-orange color. Also, if you notice why didn't the first rasengan work, why did the second? because natsuhi was simply carrying naruto?!? lame explanation... there was not even any visible tranfusion of chakra, or whjat have you... the ending was very poorly written perhaps in the desire for the immediate end, and as such, the abrupt end of the story...
