Anyway, just looking at the raw, it seems that Sai was planning on killing Sasuke. But it looks like he decided not to, for Naruto. Anyway, we might be seeing Sai Vs. Sasuke pretty soon.

Anywho, Sai's still a good guy, I'm cool with that. Although I think what MIGHT happen is Sasuke will kill/impale Sai and then Team Yamato will show up.

Ok... Sai's true mission (for now... hasn't his "true mission" been revealed like 3 times now?) was not to betray Konoha. But to assassinate Sasuke.

It seems that he's decided not to do that though, and is going to try and return Sasuke to Konoha.

The revealing of the ANBU was moreso something to gain Oro's favor. So that Sai could get into a position where he could kill Sasuke.

Afterall, losing a few ANBU who aren't loyal to him, is a fair trade off for destroying Orochimaru's next container in Danzous mind.

I don't think that was -actually- why Oro left. It was after Yamato and Sakura showed up that he decided he didn't wanna fight anymore. He's still weakened from the last fight, just like Naruto.

This was a pretty good chapter, it had my heart beating pretty quick through out it. I really hope we see Sasuke in next chapter, because if not then Kishimoto is just a darn tease.

It was good to know that Sai had the ability to kill off strong people like jounin's, up till now i kind of thought of him as a bit of a pushover.

It would be more suspense worthy if we didn't already know what sasuke's face looked like (like most people in the timeskip it's mostly height and clothing that have changed... and we know his hair hasn't changed.) So I find it odd that they have re-introduced him to the story but purposely keep his face hidden (but not the rest of his body.) Unless they drasticly changed his face (maybe he's stuck with CS lipstick?) this "suspense" seems kinda useless to me.

I thought the chapter was okay. I didn't think Sai's mission was to kill Sasuke at first. That suprised me. I just wonder what Sasuke is gonna be like.

The one thing I always find gay is how they say they're going to "save" and "rescue" Sasuke from Oro, even though Sasuke is there on his own will and he fought Naruto in the first place so he could go there. There isn't any "saving" about it. It's stupid if you ask me. Naruto and Sakura are dense.

i am still smarting from the fact that sasukes face is still hidden. The faceless main character- kishimoto sure is pulling this thing a bit long.

anyway, sais mission was a beautiful twist by kishi. Part of my prediction. What surprised me is that he actually seems to have changed- and is on narutos side.

Also, what i realized is that one of the main reasons why Oro left naruto and co was he probably knows sai's intentions now. And there was no way he was going to let somebody as treacherous and unknown like sai get near Sasuke while he wastes his time fightiing the likes of a weakened naruto and co.

Is it all of them? Maybe sakura and Yamato. But naruto- i am not soo convinced. Naruto believes Sai really has a change of heart- he may be the only one who doesnt completely believe sai's smile was a fake because he saw it. On top of that he also believes sai has a change of heart. Narutos believes after he see people change dont change that fast- especially ones he helped change.

My reasoning behind thinking that Sai is the one who killed them is because the pictures are still in his book. Generally, if you have a list and items get taken off the list(in this case, the defeated jounin), you draft a new list. In Sai's case, the X's imply that it was actually Sai's doing. We dont know alot about his history, but we do know that he has been under Danzou for a long time and likely performing similar missions. Although Sasuke is still technically genin, he is likely seen as a high level risk by Danzou, being one of the few remaining users of sharingan, training/in league with Oro and of course being the key to Oro obtainining sharingan. Clearly, Sai has had high level battles before, likely of the same importance as this one. That is why I feel that Sai can take jounin level nin. Of course we can break out the "but hes just a chunnin" argument, but Naruto has "beaten" jounin as well(rasengan on Kabuto). What I am saying is that I think Sai is alot stronger then we give him credit for and is very capable of killing these rogue jounins in the book.

Of course, I cant say with 100% certainty as Sai has never confessed to these acts in the manga. But personally, despite the controversy of the circumstances, I think the evidence points primarily towards Sai being the one who killed the jounin. Again, thats opinion, not fact.

EDIT: Uh yeh, i just reread your post and hah.. i guess it never did say they were jounin did it? Meh, I may have messed that one up

okay you have a good argument i can agree with most of it but would Danzou really send Sai alone to kill a jounin he most likely went with a team and imo Sai can't kill a jounin by himself with a team yes but not by himself.and also yamato said that the book is like a bingo book is kakashi killed itachi or kisame and news had spread to the rets of the villages don't you t hink they would cross his face out too.but Sai's book is different they basicaly hunt for those ninjas and why wouldn't all of Danzou followers have one Sai alone isn't gonna go out and kill all the threats to konoha.so you can say Sai killed some of the ppl form the book but not all of them once a threat is eliminated it is crossed out form their books and they move on to the next target

I said this a 1000 times, sai so far has only really shown to be a steath type fighter, something like diedra did w/ the spiders, if it comes to hand to hand hes probley decent but nothin special, Im leaning to him eliminating people while there sleep the way he did sauske, he doesnt have to fight hand to hand to kill a jounin,

So there would be no problem sending him alone!

I also dont think sasori killed the 3rd in a fight, he probley poisoned him and made him a puppet while he was unconcious from the poison!

I have a prediction that this arc will go on longer than expected. I think that Sasuke will end up fighting Sai after sai steps in instead of Naruto( maybe to protect naruto) And also i think that Sai will die in this arc by sasuke. While Sakura and Yamato fend off Oro.
