If its not at the same second(in which it would be torn apart). The summon goes to the person who summons it last.

The universe implodes on itself because you're trying to summon something that doesn't exist where summons are taken from, therefore it takes the hole from where the summon was. Seriously though, I think it just summons something else, like the next thing beneath it (like Gamabunta then a frog about it's size, but not Gamabunta).

i beleive it was simply explained that the summon, is a teleportation jutsu, to bring someone from a certain place for a certain amount of time, like when iruka sensei was summoned,

I think if you summon at the same time you may possibly both get a summon, but different ones. Remember Jiraya's twin sworded frog and the other Gamabunta could be summoning using the same. I also think they are pretty equal in strength, but the other frog maybe strong I mean what frog that doesnt have twin long swords (Gama has 1) thats also huge is weak. It beat 3 snakes right!!! can Gama beat 3 or...
So if you summon at the same time probably another summon will come out (read the manga for Jiraya's and Naruto funny near double summoning), if it is a summoning and there is more than one type of animal such as Oroch snakes, Jiraya frogs, that strange guy lizard

I think summoned creatures decide where to go. Gamabunta's son decided to appear when Naruto summoned him (he wasnt forced to come)

The summon is doubled, one summon for each summoner

I think that if two people summon then Gamabunta would go to the person who summoned it first.
Naruto:Hey Sasuke!!!
Sasuke:....
Naruto:Watch this!!

Jyraiya:Kuchiyose no Justu!!
(Gamabunta appears)

(poof)
Naruto:What?! A tadpole!!!
