For me, it was probably Zelda: The Wind Waker...
I loved Ocarina of Time to death and I was so hyped up about WW, and no I didnt mind the graphics (just as long as it looks pretty good, I'll play the game). But I dont know what happened with WW, it was more of a chore to play it. I still havent finished it, and I probably wont... I guess it's because I hyped it too much and it was getting old.

please dont talk about x 2 it pains me too much to think about that game. biggest waist of money ever. that sould go under the regret of the day. uge........not cool squarsoft. not cool at all. WW wasnt that bad though. the part where you have to find the islands and stuff like that sucks ass though. takes to long. i think by far the worst game though is everymegaman after X3. THERE ALL THE SAME. whats the point i ask you?

Yes that was a big mistake. Although I like they songs 1000words and real emotion, the game still would of been better if they had used Nobuo Uematsu for the backround music.

Gothic and Diablo 2. Everyone were saying they are great but Gothic had horrible camera which made me sick when I tried to walk backward and strafe on the same time. Diablo 2 was fun in the beginning but "save system" was so stupid. It made no sens at all

red faction 2. I had such high hopes that it would improve, not degrade. It didn't even have internet play as I remember.
this is a tough one... WW did piss me off, Devil May Cry pissed me off more, and x-2... let us not even go there

Which Devil May Cry are you talking about? I love the first one!!! But, this is kinda stupid, but Crash Bandicoot...was outright stupid...Seeing the dood spin and make those weird noises scared the crap out of me! :shock:

final fantasy viii did live up to the 'hype' it sold a lot its final fantasy ix that didnt sell as much...the most diappointing game for me was max payne, rented it, returned it the next day, played it for aobut 10 mins 7 day rental...

I would have to say Fable. I was looking forward to that game for so long and when I finally got it, I ended up playing for about 3 hours before I gave up on it. I guess it was just too hyped up prior to release.
Personally, I carefully pick and choose the games I play. So I hardly ever run into any real problems with gameplay and stuff like that. The one game that I have to say that I paid for and was dissapointed in was Star Wars Battlefront for the Pc. It was a good game, its just that their servers lag so much even on the best machines...online is almost unplayable. And fraging the same bots over and over again gets really boring. So ya I would call that a dissapointment.

wtf FFCC was an awsome game. and if you play it noly 3 times its obvious you wont like it cause you havent played it enough! but its a great game, and how is it short it took me at least 40 hours to beat the game, mainly caus ei wanted to play all the diff levels. i have played it for at least 60 hours by now

multiplayer was boring as hell
1st player only good thing is graphics
but in the matrix scenese they screwed up some of the scenes

Man the most disapointing is definitely what the others up top said, FF: Chrystal Chronicles was the gayest most boring game ever, i f*ckin bought it and it sucked! I was so pissed! I played about 4 or 5 times and then i never let that game have the honor of bein in my gamecube, stupid lame game!

The most recent dissapointment was Montser Hunter imo. Wasn't what I expected, I thought it'd be a cool rpg. But instead it dissapointed me with no storyline and repetative gameplay.

1. its not supposed to even have a story
2. you dont even level up, you just buy more powerful armor, which is kinda leveling up but not really
3. monster hunter for psp is definitly in the best 5 games for psp
The psp game might be good. However, there are certain games that have two different versions, and one is almost always better then the other, especially if they change something.
tales of symphonia; i would have like to see more animated cutscenes. I love my cutscenes :?... insulting my favorite game of all time just cause of cut scenes its disapointing!!! i played that game for an entire year and beat it over 18 times(fastest time was 24 hours woot)
ok well the most disapointing game was Tales of Legendia.... worst game ever

on the game box it says "amazing animated cutscenes"; and then when i actually play the game theres only like 3 scenes that are animated; I think thats a valid reason to be dissapointed. I do think its a good game tho, it just didn't live up to all of my expectations.

second time through game i beat kratos at first fight. first time it took me 46 hours to beat the game but only cause i wanted to explore and unlock more secrets

Did anyone else beat Kratos the first time you fight him.the first time i did it was 39 hours i think. then it was like 32 and stuff the longest was 95 or something i was looking around i wanted to find everything. oh and the first time through i never lost ONCE except for Mithos the first time you know in the tower? i beat Kratos there though. The other hard fight was when the hill you first go on and you see Sheena you go into that cave and that thing was there. i was like 15 or something and it took my health down in an instant. i still beat it though.AWESOME GAME!!!!

that was such a cool game, but at the end its like impossible for me when your in the cave at chapter 5 and have to fight the magus sisters.
i beat shiva easy but then the magus sister owned me with their overdrive
and the music was AWESOME

For me it was Legaia 2. I hated this game more then any game I've ever played. I loved Legend of Legaia in the ps. I would play that game and liked how everything progressed. But Legaia 2 was a giant piece of crap. The story was lame and very unintresting. Legaia 2 worst game ever!!
No...Aquaman Defender of Atlantis is by far the worst game....that or ET. Both of them suck...

Guys FFVIII is my favourite fantasy (first RPG played). Anyway the most dissappointing game by far is 'Starfox Adventures', how could rare get it so wrong? Collect this and then collect that aswell just to advance, way too many items. Voices were horrible too.
Platformer kings rare screwed up majorly with this one. :?

Most dissapointing ever: FF X-2. IT... IS SO.... GAY!!!!!!!
The only final fantasy (i have) that
a) i didn't finish
b) hated the storyline
c) laughed when someone died
d) had no inclination whatsoever to replay it (i replayd ff7 - ff10 at least 3 times each, ff7 i've done more than 10 times. easily. and i still love it)
the only cool thing was the paino intro, that sounds good, but the rest of the cd can burn

Unfortunately there isn't a huge market anymore for 2-d fighters. At least SNK is making new material, although the sprites in the new KOF games need more animation and high resolution sprites. Capcom just recycles and recycles, adding nearly nothing.
See Guilty Gear for an example of beautiful 2-d graphics.

The first game released by Square Enix was Unlimited Saga, and I was VERY deceived by the poor gameplay, animation and overall system. I didn't care if the game would have many characters and possibilities, it just sucked for a PS2 game.

I didn't dig FFX much either, mostly because there was no world map to explore, and Tidus had the MOST ANNOYING VOICE EVER, and it just didn't feel like the other FF games. I think that X, other than the sphere grid, took a step backwards when it came to gameplay.
I finished it, but unlike most of the other FF games, I really have no desire to replay it and get all the extras.

Fable: the Lost chapters. OMG the final battle was way way way way way easier then acutally collecting the hero sol in the arena.
Like come on jack of blades demon spawns didn't even have a defence aginst that sword that maze was looking for.
Combat was kind of dull. there wasn't much for combat style. it was slightly ok game, pretty good stroy line, one hot sister too. odd that I'm like 65 in the game and she still looks like shes around her upper teens or early 20's and that was after the first battle with jack of blades hell man that battle was harder then the final battle. what a dissapointing ending.
Wonder what would of happen if i had the sword of avon which i would had to of killed my sister to get it.

halo was fine for pc when i played it. althought multiplayer lagged like hell. i cant believe how much lag was in that. there was so much, like when i played blood gulch, that when i spawn and i moved forward, i kept teleporting backwards and i got to the mountain. im not sure if that was lag, but there was hell lag.
anyway i also wanted to say, midnight club 2 was pretty fun, only multiplayer though, with cheats. me and my friend was always go to paris and go off that big jump that led to the alley, then go up that thing and into the tube, and go off that jump with nitro, flying over the lake. that was kickass.
but midnight club 3 was way better. it had some kickass jumps.
but a game i really hated was probably that ps1 game where you played as those green soldiers. that sucked balls
