I would say Rpg but not final or pokemon (because they are not real RPG) Fallout, Morrowind are the best

i like rts games cause i like mutitasking i guess. i even multitaks playing games and doin hw and download and chatting so i guess every thing taks along time but yea. i only like fps on the comp. rpg i like but i just don have the time to sit down at a console and play for like 3 hours a day. and fighting games are only good in multiplayer unless it has cool cutscenes that are like movie sections.

yea i have wierd taste in game huh lol

You do not want to know that :D I played FF7 and it wasnt real RPG for sure (i dont know about other games) First of all you cannot go where you want to go. You need to do everything in order (kill this guy then talk with this lady and after this) Fights are annoying (flashy attacks and everything) Graphic outside the fight is horrible. it is so empty Can you creat your own hero? Improving skill of your person dont make game a rpg game. And I heared that FFIX can be beaten after playing 50h What the heck is 50h for RPG game? Morrowind took 200h to beat and i didnt see everything. Fallout 2 is huge too.

you're misinterpreting the meaning of RPG

are you playing the role of Cloud in FF7? hmm.. guess that's an RPG then eh?

Lukasz
05-16-2004, 03:44 PM
So Halo is RPG too? You play role Chief Tetris is RPG too than. You play role of builder. :D
Game must have following things to be RPG
You must creat your own hero (give him name, atriubutes even look [this thing is not necessery]
Story must be complicated, big and you can do some things in order which you like or just leave somethings not done (sorry for my english)
It must allow you to kill whaterver whoever you want to kill
World must be big and you must have permission to go whereever you want to go from the beginning (ofcourse some place must be opened first but they shouldnt be major)
Increasing strength of your hero
Possibility to talk with many people
Many ways to do one quest
Quest in which you dont need to fight are needed to
Lots of weapons, things
Quests which are not needed to be done to finish the game
Places where you dont need to go to finnish the game

I think that is all. If i missed something please tell me. All of this thing must be accomplished to call game RPG. Final Pokemon are not RPG. Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Planscape Torment, Morrowind, Gothic, KOTOR, Fallout 1 and 2 are RPG.
Sorry for my english Again.

RPG, RTS, and FPS
I mean if you have never tried something in another catergory of course there is only 1 choice, but I like so many types, but my top in the past for like 10 years are in those catergories. Before it was puzzle Tetris fun.

I'm a real RPG fan, especially Dungeons & Dragons. I have the complete Baldur's Gate series, the complete Icewind Dale series, Neverwinter Night with one expansion. There are of course also quite a few exceptions to this preference, such as Starcraft (and Brood War) , Heroes of Might and Magic III (and Armageddon's Blade), Unreal Tournament, Worms Armageddon, Mario Kart, Ocarina of Time (best console game ever, good enough to buy a N64), Mario, Metroid Prime, Naruto 2 (GC) and several others I can't think of right now.

NO, it doesn't. The only good fighting game is Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen II. Soul Calibur sucks.

There are too many moves. The game is a little slow. The matches are over too quickly. It requires too much training to be able to play the game on a decent level. And if you stop playing it for a while because it is taking too much time, you will have to begin learning moves all over again, because there are too many to remember.

Maybe your just not good at the game. You can't say it's a little slow, then say the matches go to fast. You only need a lot of traing if your playing in an SC2 competition. What do you mean by "stop playing because it is taking too much time"? Which mode? Most people who play the game don't memorize all the moves, that's a bit crazy.

The moves are slow, and take a lot of time to complete. But the enemy dies quickly. By "stop playing because it is taking too much time" I mean it takes too much time too learn. You'll get tired of practicing, and you'll stop. And when you later decide you want to play again, you don't remember any moves, so you have to start practicing all over again. If they would just make less moves, the game would be much better.

L2Mc
06-25-2004, 11:21 AM
So less moves means better...Why don't you just adit you don't like it cause your not good. My friends and I have zero problems with the game. The amount of moves you have in your arsenal makes the game even better. Maybe you should use Taki or Maxi. They are two of the fastest characters in the game and you don't really need to no there moves. Unless, of course, your tired of getting beat by your friends.

Lukasz
06-25-2004, 11:25 AM
i dont know nothing about the game which you are speaking about. but i agree that more moves make game more interesting. two people can play the same character and they fight differently. it makes game better. You master one style of fighting in that game. you dont need to know all of them

TheImprisonedOne
06-25-2004, 11:57 AM
I'm not saying that less moves means a better game, I'm just saying that too much moves means a bad game. There's not only "many" and "few", there is also something called "normal", or "medium", or whatever.

Lukasz
06-25-2004, 12:02 PM
what's wrong with too many moves?? you dont need to know all of them. like i said you choose one style of fight :)

You can also fight in different styles with fewer moves. Take SSBM, for example. Only several moves per character, but still a great game with many possiblilities.

Lukasz
06-25-2004, 12:08 PM
but two people playing the same character have the same style. More moves makes that two the same characters can fight in different ways. and more moves make more different combos.

TheImprisonedOne

Not true. Even with as few moves as in SSBM, you can fight in several different styles.

L2Mc

It's impossible to use one third of the moves of one character in SC2. Every battle you can technically use different move. Or you can use the regualr horizontal, vertical, and kick, and still own your opponent. Don't look at the moves list. Do your own thing, you'll like it better.

Thats called "button bashing". It works better in SC2 than in any other game I know. Which is another reason why I don't like the game.

L2Mc
06-25-2004, 12:34 PM
no, i'm not telling you to button mash. button mashing will get you beat every time if you played in my circle. I'm saying try moves you know from other games. Like fireball motion followed by forward kick then down kick and vert together.

TheImprisonedOne
06-25-2004, 12:38 PM
I only play two other fighters, and they're SSMB and Naruto 2. Both don't have that many moves.

Ever play Capcom VS SNK 2: EO? Really good 2D fighter. I have an arcade stick to simulate my winning streak when i was in Vegas. I was unbeatable. I was also awesome in Marvel VS Capcom.

L2Mc

That explains it all. most people usually can't bad mouth SC2 that much and stick with it. I've been playing fighting games forever, I'm used to them.

I didn't know what to vote for..I can't play any games, i suck at everything. The only games i can play are the Mario games ;_;. Oh and Soul Caliber II with Ivy...And thats only cause i wrote all her moves down on my arms -.-, then it didn't even work most of the time cause i was too busy staring at her tight leather outfit to look down at my arms.
