The Old All-in-One 666 Satan Thread

This is a really good manga, best so far that I've read. I made this thread in hope that it becomes more popular within the forum.
Thx to Hayabubu, to introducing us to it!

Here's a brief description:

In the world of "666 Satan", there are ancient and mysterious artifacts called O-Parts, and there are people who can use them, O.P.T.s!(O-Part Tacticians) Only a chosen few can use the O-parts, and they can be used for good or evil.
Enter Jio, a kid with a dream of World Domination(Yes thats right!). Jio doesn't know why people hate him or why violence happens around him, but he knows he wants to have enough power to be free of torment. He decides to get stronger and sets off on a journey to find that strength. But there is a legend among the people that an evil demon is out there, one who can use an OPT's power against him. He kills without hesitation, and his name is Satan, and on his head is the mark of the beast, 666.

As you may probably tell already, it has a similar theme to Naruto: difficult childhood. But I assure you that it develops into a much better story.

I actually d/l-ed some of it, after seeing this thread...

I don't really like it :? The style is too chaotic and sketchy for me, and I don't like the characters. I did only read the first chapter, but so far it just didn't hold my interest at all.

frist of all.....KISHIMOTO HAS A BROTHER THAT DRAWS MANGA TOO!!! KICKASS! now that that's been said, i'm still in the act opf reading the 1st chapter and its pretty good. the best manga ever ? HA! its faaaar from it. read more manga, there's muuch better :P . and AD! how can u say u don't the like the art >_>? its almost the same as that of the early naruto chapters (unless u don't like those ethier. i know i don't) story wise, its decent so far although i have to say the basic plot and character is plot is strangely similar to dragonball. ruby ( i think her name was) is looking for treasure similar to the way bulma was looking dragon balls. all in all it seems pretty good nad i'm intrested to see how it will progress

I see a definite difference between Naruto's art and the art of this manga. Maybe not to most, but I def. could tell Kishimoto's (Naruto) art from this guy's :P

I have very strict eyes though, I notice a lot of things others don't. Not trying to have an ego here, just stating that, since it usually comes up lately...

I'm very observant with art, and imo, Naruto's art has always been more sentimental, and not as chaotic in pacing of its story. He just seems more 'polished' than this guy is. And yes, that includes the beginning chapters, I've recently reviewed them a few days ago or so.

Tbh... I'm not impressed enough with his manga to remember his name. I remember few mangaka names as it is >_>

And it's not so much that it's bad or good or w/e. I just don't like his actual style. It's not exactly the same as Kishimoto ___ (I don't know his first name ok? the Naruto guy)... like I said, I see a big difference.

Man, guys.. is it that big of a deal that I don't like your manga? :P

But as I said, it's not the skill. It's his style of drawing and organising his images and frames. Things like that rarely change over time. He'll become a better artist, but unless he completely changes the way he designs and depicts characters and framing, it's not a style I like.

i don't get the effect of the gem balls but they can't be to great if they have so many so i guess it all depends on the O.P.T.'s spirit power.but we already seen who's gonna be the 2 ppl on each ship to enter the tournament.imo i don't think ball is gonna be going with jio that girl looks strong

the effect of the gem ball is the emobdient of the OPTS spirit power. like in the example the guys spirit turned into an eagle (or some other bird).

thats why im assuming jio's spirit will form into a wolf.

and i agree that girl does look strong. i dont think ball will be able to get past the perliminaries.

but i hope jio beats the girl that way ball wont have to deal with her, and he can get into the tournament too. yay ball!

ok so i'm reading this series and its pretty good but it can't compare to naruto in my opinion and it seems that this kishimoto brother seems to be even more infulenced by dragonball. the character design has toriyama written all over it especially the lead female. reminds me of bulma

Great manga, I kinda like the story more than Naruto. And whoever said that Jio looks like something bad happened to him over the time skip, I dunno....I think he kinda looks like a wolf. Don't you guys think so? With his thin face and squinty eyes, he looks badass, like Zero.

Read up to 10, ofcourse the beginning would be cliche, how many manga start out looking original, the story is great and well thought out, the characters are cool, there is diversity. The chapters are even just the right length( 2.5x longer than naruto chaps on average)

Okay so I skipped 51 (seems like it was mostly a fighting chapter and 52 was explaining everything so that's good.) Am I the only one is kinda enjoying 666 more than naruto at the moment? It may be the way the chapters in naruto are (about 1/2 the size 666 ones) but the pacing in 666 seems to keep me more interested. I dunno.

Naruto dropped ALOT in my book when they started that filler series. I understand why they did it, but still. Will go back up when they start following manga again. But 666 satan i think will not trail behind naruto at all even when they do get back on the normal episodes
