Who is stronger? Gai or Kisame?

I think its Gai, the akatsuki notes him as an extremely skilled taijutsu ninja.

well when he fought him at like umm i think 35% or sumthing, when they were getting garra bak, he had to open ummmmm what was it 8 gates? or a high numbered gate to defeat him, and if he were to fight him in person he would probally lose. but hey gia prob has a few tricks up his sleave.

I think that Kisame is stronger... because i read somewhere that he has an ENORMOUS amount of chakra stored in his body, probally most in the ninja world. It said in his biography that his chakra is compared to the kyuubi's.

i second that- where did you get that information. Kyuubi is a demon- and the strongest with an unlimited amount of chakra and could battle for 100 years and be still standing- how would kisame compare to that.

There was a reference (only a rumor) somewhere I read that Kisame actually had the third youma (a demon in the form a fish).

sry even if tema gai was fighting i think kisame would own them all when he was using the weird bodt jutsu thingy he managed to capture them with some ease and forced gai to open 6 gates and use his special move which is cool.and throguth out that fight he was only using about 35% of his power and his moves would have been more stronger because even though the jutsu allows you to fight through it you can't use all your moves and the ones you do use woulddn't be as strong as if you were to use it in person.

the only reason a weak ninja like kisame made it in the akutsaki is because of his chakkra stealing sword. he doesnt seem all that scary

Your crazy if you think kisame is weak, were do you get that from b/c he takes orders from Itachi?? And if it were just his sword and he was so weak atkaski would have killed him and took it, and yes his chakra is compared to kyuubi's he's not to be taken lightly, he extremly strong his replica w/ 30% his power had almost beaten team gai, and at 30% neji compared his chakra to the time when naruto used the kyuubi chakra during his fight in the chuunin exam

And they did badly because he attacked them in a place where he had the advantage. Namely next to a large body of water. If you remember the fight against Zabuza, fighting a Mist Nin near water is a recipe for diaster.

True Gai is the one with the thick eyebrows, and he is extremely skilled in taijutsu, but i can see a way he can use taijutsu when Kisame creates an ocean... lol

oh Sh**t he did use a jutsu to summon a wter field thingy.wow to be able to summon water or use water jutsu based moves without any real water around you have to be really strong.and think about it i could say most poeple say that kisame is on the kage lv so how an gai beat him and we don't consider him on the kage lv.

kisame is at kage lvl just like most of akatski, but lvl doest all ways matter b/c we have seen gennin beat chuunin, jounin, and 4 people who were able to beat 2 jounin, one on one, and dont try to dispute weather or not atkaski are kage lvl b/c Oro was part of them and took out 2 kages his self and took out the strongest kage of all hokage!

Y.O, that is certainly true- there is no disputing everything you said above. adding to that it could be that if Gai on a suicidal mission opens to the 8th gate he could give Kisame a run for his money (since according to Kakashi the 8th gate gives one more power/strength than a hokage). and if it were team Gai the same thing could happen (imagine Lee also opening his gates). i just hoped we knew exactly the true extent of opening a 7th or 8th gate and power jumps one gains. but barring any surprises i will rank Kisame a tad over Gai.

Gai can do it, Im pretty sure of that, but he wouldnt do it unless he knew he was gonna die anyway, I wonder if hewould be able to beat him if he only opened 7 though

we don't have much knowledge of gai's ability we've only saw him fight 3 times and all of them were breif.i don't think he can open all 8 gates.i don't think he's that stong but him opening 7 agtes very possible.

I would wager that Lee can open up 6 by now, and his sensai shold be able to open up more, But I kinda hope we never see it I like gai too much

How about lee and Gai both opening all the gates? If lee could tempoarily become stronger than the Hokage, and Gai is stronger than Lee, that's quite a bit of muscle. Toss Lee some Sake after that and it could really get interesting.

uhh that would result in both of them dying as as for kakashs sayin about them being stronger than hokage is crap, As strong as a summoning, or demon is more like it, there bodies arent that strong, unless he meant that they could easily beat a hokage by opening all 8 gates, that statement wouldnt make much sence
