Which summon do you guys think is best?
1) Snake = Orochimaru
2) Frog = Jiraiya+ Naruto
3) Slug = Tsunade
4) Monkey = 3rd Hokage
5) Gaara's summon ( forgot name)

Well, my favorite summon is the frog since i've seen it perform many combination jutsus that seem to defeat other summons..

True, but somehow I don't think he's the strongest/best ! I mean, the monkey was the Hokage's after all, so he must be the best right ???? WRONG !?

heh, well other then that stick he transformed to, and the time where he tried to stop the sword from going into the hokage.. he didn't do too much. So i guess we can't really compare because we never saw it in action too much.

And the monkey dude is a little small to fight against that huge frog thingy ?
Maybe there's a bigger version , like Naruto's frogs ! Maybe if he is not convined to such a small space , he could call forth a huge gorilla.... HEHE , lmao

HAHAHA!! I've never thought about the size... maybe the 3rd hokage didnt want to summon the big one because it would cause too much damage to the roof!!! LOL!!!. and btw i think the slug sucks too.. i mean all it does it reform and uses that poison gas. Orochimaru's snake doesnt show much either.. I believe Gaara's summon is also one of the best.

No , i think he didn't summon the big one , cause he was kinda STUCK in a "covered" area ! The "force field" thingy !

there are different types of summons creature's jiraya can summon like 4 different types of frogs and oro can summon different types of snakes.i'm sure the 3rd hokage could summon different monkey's but the one he summoned was th emonkey king and he cannot grow any bigger you can't control how big your summons are but there are summons of the same species that have different sizes.and garra had no summon.and my favorite summon is the boss frog and i kinda like manda(oro's summon)cause he has a kick ass attitude and he kinda pwned the the other summons.

the Manda didnt really show any signs of jutsus like the frog did though. but ya, scary attitude

isnt there a thread similar to this somewhere on this forum- i am sure there is.
anyways, Gaara's wasnt a summon- it involved no blood contract or whatever. it was more of a transformation- involving two beings in one body(shukaku and gaara in gaaras body).

We can't really say what is the best summon, since we've only seen a few ;). But out of the ones shown, they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
The froggy seems to be a good balance between power and jutsus, the snake seems to be all power, and the little we saw of the slug seems to suggest it has about the best defense of all. As for the monkey, he didn't seem so strong at fighting per se, but IMO I'd think he's probably the best at jutsus we saw. He is, after all, "The Proffesor's" summon of choice (they seemed to have a very close relationship, as well). Also, I do believe that when the monkey turned into the staff and Sarutobi wielded it, it made Sarutobi's body as hard as diamond - which is why Orochimaru got out that sword to still be able to attack him physically. This suggests very high magical (I mean, jutsu -_^) abilities on the monkey's part.
frog summons are the best, thats what jariya uses and he seems to be a sommoning expert he summons frogs for everything, they are versitile and come in real handy
The 3rd might be able to summon king kong
I like manda the best though b/c he did pawn the frog boss and that good for nothing slug

Jiraiya also constantly peeps in on women, and his books are a fantastic hit so he must also be an expert at that. Therefore, that is the best way to interact w/women :roll:.

Hey I think you forgot Temari's weasel. I like that weasel. I think that's my favorite one. I also like the frog. I especially like it when those smaller, annoying frogs get summoned. XD

is there a best summon? this is more like a personal choice since we havent seen soo many. Manda was frightening against Gamabunta and katsuyu. but i think he might have a problem when fighting with the monkey summoned by sandaime. oh! lest i forget, temaris weasel was just vicious.

How can that monkey possibly give manda any trouble, turning into that pole so manda cant digest him??? unless he can become 50x's bigger he wouldnt be trouble at all

????well the monkey is a good summon but he was to impressive towrads the end of the fight.and how can the monkey do any real damage to manda we seen his tajitsu and it isn't strong enought to hurt manda.

Perhaps the Monkey Boss is Son Goku, Monkey King? If thats the case then I think I'd choose him. If not, I'd have to go with Frog Boss. He seems almost too smart and among the big summons we've seen so far he is the only one with arms. Can't do much in the way of the Ninja without arms...

the bee was okay no wear as strong as temrai weasel kakashi dogs are okay there good for the chidori attack and tracking the spider sucked.

I'd say the monkey, since he can transform into the Thunderbolt staff (I think thats what it was called), and the Thunderbolt staff can change into any size.
that staff sucked, and if you know how to use that spider right thats a hell of a summon, but that all goes back to the statement about prefence

The whole purpose of letting the bugs live in thier body is so that they dont have to summon them, so that wouldnt really make any sense thats why thier always out collecting new bugs instead of trying new summons, I do think that he has new bugs to fight w/ but he wont summon them!!

omf g why did no1 say this yet! gaara doesent have a summon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he just kinda lets shukaku out, and sand froms around his body until it looks like sjukaku. then he fell asleep and shukaku fully came out. that wasnt a summon. it was more of a transformation. the weasle that temari summoned looked tight! but the strongest summon weve seen is most likely manda. he pawned gama and the slug. but what suks about manda is that u have to give him ppl 2 eat after u use him! lol. if i hadda pik id pik weasel or frogs.

he cant keep big bug like that gigantic bee in his body , so he need to summon them , plus the bee's clan(4got thier name) on of the filter . they have bees with them the whole time and they still summon it

let me ask you this :what the hell is the name of this f***ing manga ?

so plz remember jiraya's conversation with kakashi before they go after garaa's body if naruto turns all funny and stuff use the sticker!!!
and we all know that the kuyubi is the most powerful of all the 9 guardians and guess what it is stuck inside naruto!!!
so plz stop acting like it's not gonna happen coz it will eventually the kuyubi will get out (naruto will get so angry and uncontrolable that he will unleash the 9 tailled fox demon).
and when he does no one will ever be able to stop it except another forbidden sealing jutsu!!!

But Naruto nor the Demon is a summon. Its just there. And someone could just kill the demon. Just because he is super powerful doesnt mean it can't die.

i think there isent a best summon
a summon type has a special purpose
like the dogs or the monkey
dogs -> tracking / spying
monley -> spying / close quarter / intelligent
for stealh missions or assasinations
slug / snake / frog -> destruction / one on one combat
for combat or mass destruction
itachi would toast this dogs of kakashi
but what would itachi do against gamabunta hehehe ;)
( frogs are fireprove if i remember beside the goddess of the sun thingie from itachi but after that even sakura could beat him ;P )
sakura isnt so useless anymore, and shino's clan might use summons although I highly dought itb/c what could a 10 bug that eats chakra do!?!? its better to have them small, and other bugs for other things

no shino does not summon. but it is true: strongest summon is manda, oros summon. u just gotta giv him sacrifices so its prob not even worth it. naruto wont be able to summon kyubi, i dont think at least. thats way too cliched
