How to put up a banner

I'm new here, can anyone tell me how to add a picture to yer signiture.. i'm not talking bout the avatar, i mean those banners that most people have as their signitures. I already have a banner i wanna put but can't set it up.. help anyone??

you need to use BBcode instead of html. Add

[img]http://www.url.com/folder_name/picture.gif[/img]

just insert your url in the above code and add it to your signature and it should work.

btw , what he meant was , make a pic , or get one from the internet !
Then go to www.photobucket.com , create an account (don't worry , it's free !).
Upload your pic there !
There will be an URL suplied by the site after you uploaded it !
Then just in your profile section , type in YOUR URL HERE in the "signature textbox"
