I've been downloading and watching Bleach for sometime now. Lunar fansubs used to be the top fansubbing group for Bleach. They were the fastest and most reliable. Now it seems their are multiple fansubs taking their shots at Bleach. The 3 mains I've seen are: Bleach-Society, Hell-Fansubs, and of coarse Lunar. I have eps from each, and they all seem prety decent to me. Hell-fansubs has been first to release for some time now, so I have mostly been getting it from them. Just tonight, I was informed by a Japanese speaking friend of mine that these fansubs were barely 40% correct in translation. Now I dont like the idea of having to wait an extra day for Lunar or Bleach-Society, and I dont even know how exact either of those translations are, but I'm thinking its better to wait, and to get the real deal on what is being said. Any facts about this? Any ppl feel the same?

well actually translation is kind of different but in most part it mean the same thing just said in other words exept for some scene , but since i like everything perfect i watch hell because they are first then i get lunar

ive noticed in a few anime subs i hear the name of a char but in the sub it isnt there and its something like he/she and they edited it a bit
but you need to watch alot before you can start picking out words/names i find
also one of the best ways to pick out the words and learn them is to find a part where there repeating the word alot
also i think i know what truth is because of how many times they repeat it in the early fma which i see in xecutorz's sig

yea, i guess im in the same boat as everyone
hell-fansubs gets it quick, so i get that, then by the weekend lunar is hopefully out. lunar is definately the best subbers around.
ive been able to pick up on little things that are significantly different. In ep 46, i think it was, where ishida is fighting, the entire part where they talk about his grandfather was completely mis-subbed by hell-fansubs. Lunar got it right though, and it made much more sense.
so yea, its just preference i guess.

I usually go with Bleach Society..hehe..
Dattebayo is subbing bleach now. They're were quickest this episode as far as I know. I will never download Hell over Bleach-Society though. Hell subs are horrible, they have typoes and bad grammar in them which I find annoying.
I expect from now on that dattebayo will not only be first out but the best alternative now that Lunar is slow as hell.

the first once out is usually Bleach-Society...just for a fast skim I download it and watch it. after that...I delete it and download Lunar. The quality is just impressive. Even though they are slow...I don't mind waiting.
btw..you forgot to mention Bakakozou. I consider them equal to bleach but like toriyama...they stopped somewhere around the 50's

bakakozou just vanished as fast as they came into the picture- i liked them too
but for me i dont need much translation to understand what is been said so i just go with Hell-fansub and then later use DC++ to get bleach-society or Lunar at the weekend from a very good hub i visit.
but if u cant wait ur best bet is Hell-fansubs. broken down into laymans terms
