Apparently his soul is sealed within that little seal thingy he wears on his chest, he simply moved it to another puppet right before he got hit with that lion puppet.

And Sakura is... likely going to be out for the rest of the fight I'm guessing, I think it's all up to Chiyo.

tsunade's regeneration technique does not make her immortal. it makes it so that she can never lose a fight during a battle. But like shizune said long ago..it speeds up the cell growth process causing ones life span to be shortened.
