View Full Version : Good Gaara?

Ok......the 3 Sand nins show up, I can sort of follow that. Because if you think about it there country was deceivingly lead to war by Orochimaru, so they had no reason to hate on the Leafs since they once got along. The only thing I'm not understanding here is the whole "Good Gaara" thing. I would like to think he's pulling for the good guys now, but THE MAN WAS A KILLING MANIC BEFORE THIS. And he just shows up like "hey, we're here to help you." The only way I'm letting this one slide is if they have an entire episode showing Gaara slowly come to grips with the idea that maybe he doesn't have to kill EVERYONE. And its still that would be hard to believe.
Thoughts?

naaah, he was loved before, but once naruto showed him true power of love he kinda changed
that was A VERY long time ago, if im correct the entire tsunade search took more than 6 weaks or so

Yeah, I can definitely believe Gaara's come over the fence to the good side... that seems to be the 'true shinobi power' that naruto has....he can change people's hearts i guess, or something sappy like that.....that and gaara had his ass handed to him by someone that shouldn't have been able to touch him in his opinion....that could change a killing machine i think...

maybe gaara did switch sides but eventually the sand demon(shukaku)
will take over and kill everyone in it's path anyway.

yea race84as because of that i would not be surprised if we see him die in a future issue
well I thing he will eventually end up being the kage of the sand... he is the most powerfull in the village there...
Naruto changed a lot of hearts... he is a very influencial guy
He changed Sakura, Konohamaru, Hinata, Zabuza :o and even Sasuke. Orochimaru was telling to Kabuto that he did not expect that Sasuke would go and fight him even thoug he knew he was not able to defeat Orochimaru. Orochimaru said it was the "nine-tails boy" who had this bad influence on Sasuke.
So I think Gaara learned also a lot from Naruto and had a change of heart... you can see it clearly in episode 80 that just came out  .
He apologizes to Kankuro en Temari... And this change of heart could mean that he has the willpower to withstand Shukake.

Gaara is crap. he cant control the sand himself. they said that it was automatic. if it wasnt automatic he would be dead cause he likes hurting himself as a little boy.that sand demon left him a long time ago. the "soul" of the baksakjdnk parted from gaara. maybe the stress from trying to keep sanity left him after the demon left him so he wasnt a crazy killer anymore. if gaara didnt have that sand to protect him all the time what would his power be. insomnia no jutsu lol
feel free to flame or comment on any sentence

Well come to think of it.....it is kind of obvious that gaara would turn good because after the fight we learn that itachi is after him. So i guess we can expect him and naruto in a future issue to team up against him or other members of the ataski(sp?).
Akatsuki yeah :P .
Well I don't think the demon has left Gaara, because the sand still protects him automatically.
I'v just read 213. He is good... you can tell that... but he is as arrogant as on Itachi level. 8) so he has not lost all his coolness by turing good :D
I was a kind of suprised Gaara and Kimimaro know each other...

makes sense that they know each other i mean they were both working with orochimaru. think about it for a second and it will make perfect sense. and gaara still has the demon inside him otherwise there wouldn't be any sand. and i dont see him losing control and becoming a killing machine. and the reason for that is simple. naruto has had a demon inside him all his life and never lost control and became a killing machine

Well actually I don't think that makes as much sense as you say, because Orochimaru killed the Kazekage so the Sand village would listen to his orders. He decided as Kazekage that the sand would be allies with Orochimaru just to make things easier. So Orochimaru probably met Gaara as Kazekage... but not as Orochimaru... at least I think this... since the Sand and Sound were a kind of peacefull with each other. And working with Orochimaru and just following a plan that was constructed by Orochimaru are 2 different things in my opinion.

gaara is simply acting himself in my opnion, that he lost his hunger for killing is not that important. he is still badass, no one can harm him

so if he killed the kazekage and made the sand ally with orochi, then they couldnt have met? being that kimimaru works with orochi and the gaara is part of the sand. and gaara was also a key part of the plan
i always like when someone disagrees with me then adds more evidence to why what i said was right. it is always amusing

funny isnt it, by the way, it might be just my imagination, but it was only kimimaro that recognized gaara, ( him being a demon and all ), gaara didnt actualy think twice about who kimi was, while kimi instantly went to killer mode
thompkinsbrian
04-27-2004, 10:40 AM
that cause gaara doesnt give a shit. i like him more and more everytime i think about him. kimimaru is just another biatch that is about to get smacked down. it would be great if gaara not only beat him but completely overwhelmed him. prolly wont happen but i would like to see that. i personally like the new gaara cause he seems to have a greater purpose in life then he had before. he isnt just some mindless, idiot, killing machine. i think he will display greater skill in this fight as well

Well if they did... wouldn't that blow Orochimaru's cover?
Also there was something about Kimimaro... Something about him that only if they were in a really tight spot they wanted to use him... Everybody seems surprised that Kimimaro is able to move... Tayuya says that it is not possible and that Kimimaro is standing with one foot in the grave... Well Kimimaro was not in te Leaf to attack with Orochimaru... So for him to meet Kimimaro seems to me very unlikely... because there is no reason at all for Kimimaro to meet Gaara... So I am not saying that it is impossible... At least I can't find where I said that... So you can assume what you want... it does not add anything to the discussion if you just fill in for other people... Try talking to a wall if you like that kind of discussions so much...

look, they dont need to meet each other to know about each other, zabuza never met kakashi but he knew what he was against, and the same was in kakashis position that is all that brian is trying to say( at least it is what im trying to say)

I was gonna say that. Oro and his subbies MUST have studied the Sand village before they made their moves to ally with it (or disguise as Kazekage, whatever), so OBVIOUSLY Oro + subs would know about Gaara whether they met him or not.
Silly how some people get heated over a small technicality.

all I have to say about Gaara..is that hes FRIGGIN' GAARA OF THE FRIGGIN' SANDS. Hes probably the third coolest character next to neji and Shikamaru(you know lazy smartass geniuses are awesome..admit it). Now, as for his being good/losing sand powers..that doesnt happen becuase of what his mother did If I recall. I remember a certain part in the manga where they were talking about how his mother gave her life to make sure that gaara would always be protected. the sand and his mother are one in the same or something of that nature, thus the sand always protects him, like a mother protecting her son.

I think Gaara is still all superdemonohno-like. XD But he's helping the leaf, so that's really the only thing that's changed in my opinion.
Plus,he smiled. ;o
