kinda disappointed in the way sasori looks..and I don't understand how sasori could beat the 3rd kazekage seeing how he doesnt have any special abilities. Also I still don't understand why sasori doesnt age....the manga doesnt exactly give a clear explanation.

Hrm, there wasn't much fighting though... just a lot of exposition, though it looks like the fight will be moving to Naruto/Kakashi soon. And did anybody else notice that Sakura still has some of the antidote? She hid it right before engaging Sasori in combat.

As vague as that sounds, this is probably the best explanation for why sasori doesn't age. A back story for this would really help though.

Obviously the manga implies that the reason he doesn't age is because he is a puppet. If you can't grasp that then fine, others will just use common sense though to put two and two together. Also we've seen Kankuro use henge on his puppets to diguise them to look like him or other people and we've seen all types of other ninjas capable of altering their appearance and you're going to qubble about jaw lines? The most likely reason why he doesn't have lines on his mouth is so it would be a suprise when we find it out.

I think what makes a good manga (and Im not talking DBZ here) is usually the sense of reality it brings. Hirohiko Araki said this and I find it to be true. When you hear Naruto talk about how he dreams of being hokage and willingness to help his peers you can't help but see yourself or people you know in him. I realize there is a tonne of things that are pretty wacky in Naruto. We got the chakra, jutsu, 9 tailed demon fox etc etc but now we have puppet masters that are puppets themselves. That's confusing to a reader even if he is immersed in the Naruto Universe. How can a puppet (an inanimate object) be living at the same time? I thought chiyo-bah having a robotic arm was stretching it a bit but having a fully cyborg human is very puzzling to me. The puppets used are usually made from dead bodies. Sasori looks very alive to me so what gives? I hope Kishimoto gives us a good explanation other than "well he's a puppet....dont you get it?" At least tell us something creative like using jutsu to trap your soul in a puppet or something. That would be nice.

we already know he can make puppets out of the living, because the kazekage puppet had the jutsus it used from when it was alive. sasori's probably still living somewhere within that crafted body, although all his limbs have been made to look like they do and he controls it with chakra.

and i'll side with the others who are thinking you reading too far into this puppet thing.

The way I see it if Ororchimaro can develope new jutsu that no one else knows about, is it not possible that Sassori his aprentice learned a few tricks as well? I believe that he just used a Jutsu to turn his lower body into a puppet while he was still alive, and probbably doe something like send chakara to his limbs to control himself as a replacement for nervers or something.

No he means from the living, remember Chiyo said back when the 3rd Kazekage was introduced that Sasori could use all the jutsus of the third, as well as allow the third to retain his chakra, because HE WAS STILL ALIVE WHEN SASORI TURNED HIM INTO A PUPPET. So he does not make his human puppets just from corpses, but from living people as well....which is extremely creepy imo. His affiliation with Akatsuki is definatley well deserved. The damn FREAK!! :shock: :shock: :shock:

Which leads me to my next new theory....if Sasori is a puppet how will he get a demon sealed with in him??? Maybe the akatsuki have alterier motives for using the tailed demons then what was first predicted? Instead of sealing a tailed demon with in each of the members they plan to use the combined chakra of all nine to unleash some greater horror upon the world? :o

yeah it would make sense. underneath all the mechanics he is probably a stump with a head, which would prove funny. sakura smashes it apart and he ends up as some "thing" rolling along the floor.

Good chapter, last week when they said that the next issue was going to reveal unknown abilities i thought they was talking about kakashi and 'that' or naruto and 'that jutsu'. Even if it is sasori being a puppet, it wouldn't be that surprising. I'm also a bit let down with how Sasori looks, i believe he could be cooler, but meh, better than anything i can come up with.

Extremely good point my friend, you got me into thinking like shikamaru on many different theories. But sometimes i guess i read too much into the theories. However, we are sure that the akatsuki are keeping one demon per member as when sasori stated when Deidra wanted to get Kyuubi as well, so unfortunately your theory does not have the whole truth but i do believe it is something along those lines. Nice work.

They said next chapter will show the end of this battle, but somehow i do not feel so, they always right that in the next week chapter section but it never happens.... argh.... ok i'm done.

It's that time once again folks, time for CR's Fight Club! A Panel by Panel synopsis of the fights that occured this week...

Sasori: It truly has been a long time, since I've "used myself" that is.

(1) Sasori drops his Akatsuki cloak, revealing that he is actually a puppet! That must be a strong scorpion tail, cause he's using it to hold himself above the ground.
(2) Sasori has little claw things sprouting out of his sides, and some sort of scroll carrying device on his back.
(3) Below a seal of some kind on his chest, his retractable scorpion tail is encased in his stomach, dripping with poison.

Sakura: He made himself, into a human puppet...

(4) Sasori unleases a fearsome attack

Scene shift to Naruto and Kakashi chasing Deidara

(5) Fire shoots across the battlefield
(6-7) Sakura and Chiyo take cover behind rocks
(8) The Fire is coming from some sort of flamethrower attached to each of Sasori's palms.
(9) Sasori stops the flame

Sasori: What's wrong? Aren't you coming out?

(10) One of the scrolls on Sasori's back disintegrates
(11-12) Chiyo and Sakura are still behind the rocks

Sakura: The effects of the antidote will last just a little over a minute.

(13) Sasori readies an attack
(14) The Scorpion tail moves, flying away from Sasori
(15) The tail blasts through the rocks in its way.
(16) Sakura is hit
(17) The tail hits Sakura, slicing her right side, she grimaces in pain.
(18) The tail hits the wall on the opposite side of the room
(19) Sakura is in pain
(20) The tail twitches
(21) Sasori readies an attack
(22) Using his tail, Sasori rushes at Chiyo

Sasori: Die!

The way i see it, a puppet is very similar to a car. You input something specific you want, that is sensible and capable of the car, it will do it.Since puppets move by chakra (or to be more precise chakra threads, but in this case i'll say chakra), forcing a specific amount of chakra will make a joint or something move perhaps? :? , but to do that you have to have loads of chakra, and have to have instincts that are as good as a player who can get a S Rank on a Dance Dance Revolution machine with an expert song. :D

OR, for a more simpler explanation, his whole body can be manuvered (sp?) as naturally as ours, since he is a 'cyborg', and the author just chose that specific vocab for the creepy effect to match what he has been doing, using puppets.

Regarding Sasori's ability to survive. I think it's tied into that seal he has on his chest. I think it likely is the source of the energy sustaining him.

Maybe it's something necessary for "Human Puppets" to have? I'm guessing it's like a Soul Container, without it the puppets would just be ordinary puppets, but with it they are able to use the techniques they knew while living. Or in Sasori's case, to allow themselves to function as a living person despite being a puppet.
