yup! ichigos dad has a Hollow inside him- from 188. So that is why Ichigo has a hollow inside him.

yeah! i first thught it was that too. i wont pretend i didnt- i thought it was Rukias story where u lose ur spiritual pressure
and then when someone said there was or migh be a hollow inside him i read the manga and it sounded like that statement might be right too- or it could be taken to mean as the hamen he just killed but the thing is tht the hamen is a hollow with shinigami powers
so it could be both- lets wait and see- either supresor or similar to the hollow inside ichigo too.

tbh this is going to be like the whole "kakashi has mangekyou!" arguement.
all it was was uruhara asking "how do you feel inside?" which could mean there is another hougyoku or just that how does he feel having gained his shinigami powers back. im siding with theres another hougyoku because that gives an obvious means of going to the hollow world to face aizen and co. where there will probably be more refined forms of "broken mask". isshin probably knows of ichigos fate from him saying "you were right, they contacted him".

Ok, heres a stab at why he has a hollow inside of him. If I remember correctly hollows happen because of extreme sorrow or loneliness or anger remaining with a person when he dies. His spirit can't rest and they turn into a hollow. Ichigo still has a lot of guilt from when his mom died and on top of that he wasn't able to kill the grand fisher. Because of this ichi is destined to become a hollow when he dies. Maybe his dad is to. He said that his biggest regret in life was not being able to save her (Ichigo's mom).

Here's another. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that device (hougyoku I think) able to combine a shinigami with a hollow? My question is this How did Aizen know about this device? Urahara had to have tested it out on someone. I believe it to be Isshin. that is why they left soul society. Now either Isshin past this trait on to Ichigo or Urahara put another in Ichigo knowing that this battle with Aizen was coming. He could have easily done it when he patched up Ichigo after his first fight with Renji and Byakuya. Remember when Ichi got his powers back? Urahara knew that he wasn't going to turn into a hollow even when everyone else was panicking.

Anyhow those are my crazy thoughts for the day.

ur crazy thoughts are not crazy- they are all rational. the hougyoku thing seems possible as well as the story of Ichigos mom- why did i know u were going to bring that up immediately u asked how are Hollows made.

i have this really crazy question, what happens to you when you die in soul society? because thats where you go when you die in the real world. do you go back to the real world?

ok do you not remeber the whole thing with urahara when ichigo was training to get his shinigami powers back. well he said if you dont do it in time then you will turn into a hollow...well he didnt do it intime if you remeber correctly urahara goes 'times up' but he made it out of there quickly enough to not let the hollow take over, thus the reason why he took the mask off (its already been proven that hollows can do that...remember inoues brother?). he transformed and gained a hollows ability without gaining the hollows appearence.
