I have read a lot of Help Requests from people asking for help on how to use IRC. So i decided to provide a basic Introduction to DOWNLOADING FILES on IRC. which is what interests people most on Chaos.
i am assuming that
a) U have already installed the mIRC client and can run the program.
b) U have filled in all the information like Under IRC Network [Server: irc.irchighway.net, Port(s): 6667, Group:Leave this blank, personal information, Nickname]. if u havent fill them. if u encounter a problem check the Help section online or on ur program.
here i go :arrow: :arrow:
1) CONNECT TO A SERVER.
As indicated above if u already have filled in server info (like irc.irchighway.net or irc.rizon.net) just find the connect button and click it.
2) JOIN A CHANNEL.
If u dont know which specific channel to join some animes indicate their server and channel when the shows are playing. U can also get onto the servers above which is famous, join a channel and ask for users to direct u to channels that have the files u need. Dont forget to read the rules of each channel or risk been banned and ask for help on how to avoid been banned. anyways to join a channel named db (Dattebayo channel) type
/join #db

3) Once you enter the channel type
!list
and a listing of fservers will appear on the screen. An example of what appears on ur screen is shown below. An fserver regina777 who is active(online) and her info looks like this:
-regina777- [Fserve Active] - Triggers:[/ctcp regina777 MUSIC & /ctcp regina777 BLEACH] - Users:[0/1] - Sends:[0/1] - Queues:[0/10] - SysReset 2.53
4) Look for the word Trigger. The Triggers: is a list of possible folders(fserve or directory) you can enter into to find files.
5) To enter a folder, type or copy & paste its trigger. in this case type either
a) /ctcp regina777 MUSIC
b) /ctcp regina777 BLEACH
After you type in a trigger a pop up will appear
6) In this pop up window type in
dir
A list of files that are available inside the fserve will appear. The words that are capitalized means that its a folder. U will see something like
[6:15pm] <regina777> BLEACH MANGA
7) To enter this folder type
cd BLEACH MANGA
U will see something like [6:17pm] <regina777> [\BLEACH MANGA]
8) To display the files in the folder, type
dir
again. This gives a list of possible files that you can download.

9) To download the file Bleach vol-20 [M7].jpg 75mb, type in
get Bleach vol-20 [M7].jpg
10) After this you either get a send from regina777 in a chat message to either accept the file and you accept. if u are in queue wait and dont close the channel. you can close the personal Message box.
Hit the Enter key after each command.
(to find Naruto eps go to the Dattebayo channel (#db) at @irc.rizon.net)
