I was just wondering what aspects of anime you guys look for when you're reviewing (either for a site or for yourself) an anime. What categories do you choose to grade on? Many thanks in advance

Several:

1. Characters-intentions, aspects, emotions. Since one of the biggest things in an anime is the characters. I want to know the characters and see for myslef if i can get into a state of understanding and personal fealings for.
2, Story- the overall story for characters. The stage for characters to interact in. This i believe is the most important aspect in EVERYTHING (it doesn't have to be anime it could be books, movies, normal cartoons, video games, ect.) I mean, what good is the charachers if the story that they are in sucks.
3. Animation- I grade that like; how well is the stage made for the story and characters.
4. Dubbing- I know that most of you like the sub and thats fine. But i DO listen to the dub (even if i like the sub better). i guess i grade by this to see if the dubbing compainy do the anime justice.
Well that how i grade anime,(don't matter what kind) sorry if that was kinda long.

Thanks! It's hard to choose an anime that I like cuz I'm pretty picky. Also animation is a BIG THING I look for.

Awwww man i forgot to add one more thing. MUSIC-the music really sets the mood for anime and if you have music that you can really get into (Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Naruto, Chobits, ect.) then the whole stage of action and characters will run a little more smoothly.

O ya. Music is such an important factor in anime nowadays. I think Kenshin music is the best I heard in an anime.

Yep. Though its very rare for an anime to combine all those aspects of how i review into one smooth anime.

hey but you gotta think first... not a whole lot of people know about Naruto.. it won't do very well if Naruto doesn't get licensed.. it's better that way

Not many people know about FLCL so basically is like selling the cd to a niche audience.

I know. but what i am talking about is the mainstream audence. I bet there is not exactly the millions of FLCL fans that will buy the cd. There probally just want to enjoy the show.
