I hope Gaara does live. Even he may seem all powerful, the fact is he can still beaten as proven by his current situation.

The reason i hope he's alive is because he'll most likely want to become stronger so in the future he can protect his village better so he'll be even stronger in future chapters. Also I predict there's gonna be another great shinobi war. The leaders for the good side will be Kazekage Gaara and Hokage Naruto ;)

No the way the fight is set up now is pretty good. Chiyo-ba sama had to take on Sasori. 1. Because its a family feud and you can't expect her to just up and let Naruto or Kakashi take care of it. 2. Because she knows more about puppetry than any of the other three. So she is a much better match up for Sasori.
However you know sasori is a freekin badass if he can defeat the strongest of the Kazekages and turn him into a puppet. Then again just because he was said to be the strongest Kazekage doesn't really tell you how he compares up against other villages kage's or high level ninja for that matter.

And as for why sasori is still so young i've got two theories. A. The puppet hiroku somehow protected him from aging or B. He somehow turned himself into a puppet. Granted there are some obvious reasons,like who's controling him, why you would think he couldn't do that it seems logical to me.

I dunno... the fights here are pretty good. But sometimes they get confusing. Maybe we should include a blow by blow account of the fights in each chapter? For example... It would also make it easy to compare the fights in the manga and the anime, when it reaches this point.


Naruto + Kakashi vs. Deidara Chapter 266

1. Naruto rushes at Deidara, who is flying on one of his birds.
2. Deidara dodges the attack and Naruto slams into the side of a ledge.
3. Deidara prepares a bird bomb
4. Deidara throws the bird bomb at Naruto
5. Kakashi jumps and throws a Shuriken
6. The Shuriken hits the Bird Bomb
7. Deidara makes some hand seals.
8. The bird bomb explodes.
9. A Shuriken comes flying out of the explosion.
10. Kakashi deflects the Shuriken with a Kunai
11. Kakashi lands next to Naruto on the side of the ridge.

I dunno, I personally dont think that puppeteers can control people that easily. I mean, they only have chakra strings connected to them, so I would think that itd be easy to break or get out of if the guy wanted to. Its just that Sakura was willing to be controlled and puppets dont move otherwise. It would also be really stupid because it would totally outclass Shikamarus Shadow Mimic, since you can conceal the chakra strings more easily than a shadow and if you hit them, you wouldn't have to completely mime the movement you want them to take.

266 was such a good manga, they emphasis that the 3rd kagaze was by far the strongest, and one day he just dissappeared. impossible because no one could do that.

later, we see sasori, who apparently also has the art that orichimiro couldnt perfect. he has slowed down is aging or mastered the secrets to immortality. in all of naruto, puppetearing seemed to be a very weak ninjitsu skill, but now we get to see supreme puppetearing that would defeat hokage levels.

and good call on granny sacrificing herself to win this one, i cant imagine any other outcome. i cant wait to see the fights in the next few shows

Some very good points have been made by everyone. Especially the fact that chiyo-ba as yet to fight seriously. If she taught Sasori his puppetry then her puppetry is of a pretty high level as well. Yet she has done nothing more than control Sakura, and she knows to beat Sasori she will need some pretty powerful puppets. Which i have no doubt she has, I can't wait to see her fight seriously.

Other versions of "THAT" include "IT" and "THE TECHNIQUE" lmao :lol: :P

And in typical shounen anime style we all know that "THAT" is always the last resort technique or skill and usually ends with the person who uses it totally owning there opponent. Other versions of "THAT" include "IT" and "THE TECHNIQUE" lmao

Interesting theories in general. I like the one that someone mentioned about Sasori being lured into Akatsuki by someone who actually killed the 3rd Kazekage. Another possibility could be that Sasori may have caught the 3rd off guard. Just cause your the strongest at whatever, doesn't mean that someone can't slip you a drug and then kill you. The upcoming chapters should be interesting. I believe "that technique" that chiyobaa has and her being the one that sealed the ichibi in Ga'ara; may come up again and play out into the story. I don't think 266 was a freaking awesome chapter, but it was at least informant.

True enough that puppet is possibley the third's body, but I think we are all missing something.
