wat if in the manga akamaru will be like a large dog instead of small, cause its been 2 ana half years. wat if he got like a whole lot bigger? cause u no in the anime it showed wen kiba got akamaru and it seemed lik it happened a lil wile before he graduated da ninja academy. and since den akamaru grew a lil, but wat if he turns into a big dog, since we dont no wat his breed is?

well he had him for already more than a year I guess and he hadn't grown a lot, a dog becomes bigger than that in a year if is like erm labrador size. Mybe akamru's just a little dog, like pakkun...

Akamaru will probably be bigger... probably about the size of medium sized dog.

He seems to be a special sort of dog (didn't his older relatives talk in human languages?) so he might age at a different rate then normal dogs.

Akamaru will definately be bigger. If Kiba's family all got wolves for their partners, it only makes sense to have Akamaru turn bigger and more powerful.
Dog's age much more faster than humans so this seems likely.

Akamaru seems to be a small dog breed... so if he does grow faster, he probably won't become that much larger :P

but it'd be interesting if he did age slower than a normal dog. because he's intended to be Kiba's companion for his entire life, isn't he? So it'd make sense for them to find a way for the dogs to live longer, to match the lifetime's length of their special 'owners' :P

Anyway, I expect that Akamaru is probably going to be medium size now. All the Inzuka clans dogs are from the same family right? I expect Akamaru will end up being the same size as the dogs that Kiba's Sister and Mom use.

Manda and Tsunade's summon I forgot her name both talk, Manda tells Orochimaru he'd better get like 100 or 300 offerings and the slug tells Shizune to take care of Naruto while he's unconscious.

i thnk akamaru will look more like the special breed of two headed wolves that they had for fighting one of the sound ninjas- but if dat happens then he can be the leader of his clan so powerful

Yea... Akamaru will probably look a lot like he did in his two headed wolf form when he gets big.

As for the talking animals, Akamaru CAN talk, it's just only Kiba can understand him. Well, he said "Happy New Year" in the intro to that one double episode, but that doesn't really count.

Anyway, the reason the summons can talk so well, is because... they're summons, they're spirits, not regular animals.

I heard somewhere that one year for us is equivalent to 7 years of a dog, but i guess that might be a generalisation and depends on the breed of dog. So i would say akamaru is pretty huge by now, at least in it's prime, the same size as a normal police dog at least.

I was going to comment on the two headed wolf being how he looks like now but someone beat me to it.

Akamaru can't 'talk' but kiba can understand what each bark means what. Depends on do you count dog language as really talking. But doesn't matter that much if he can talk or not, if scooby doo can i don't see why akamaru can't.

P.S: A bit off topic but did they say Kiba was a chunnin or an anbu member? I say kiba would look much cooler if he was an anbu member.

Hrm, we haven't seen Kiba yet, so who knows... but you can be a Chuunin AND an ANBU member at the same time.

Anyway, Akamaru is probably around 3-4 years old now. Which would make him a fully mature dog now. Not sure if Kiba's family has some special kind of dog, but I'd assume they probably have a longer lifespan then normal dogs.

but in anime sometimes characters or the supporting cast never or rarely change their appearance- especially in akamaru..

It's not that short, it just looks short because it's easier to animate that way.
