I found this game in our CD drawer and started playing. Never Winter Nights. I'm not far enough to say whether it's good or not... does anybody have an opinion on this?

NWN is pretty cool... I played that before i got Final Fantasy 11... :)

I play the pen and paper D&D games... but I have played NWN and I really enjoyed it. It's the closest to actually playing then pen and paper games that a video game has ever actually come.

I was under the impression it was a mix of Diablo2 and MMO

because it is an RPG doesnt mean it is an MMO, and FFXI sux ass, it has a very POOR PVP system which makes rpg's fun. I looked into NWN and it actually wasnt half bad. STill im too into my own rpg right now Lineage to give it a really fair shot.

I would play NWN but the only computer I have right now is my laptop, and there's a problem with the drivers, and there are no updates for a Radeon Mobility 9000... <sigh> it locks up randomly and I cant keep the game going... but I used to play it all the time

ouch,that sux but i kinda know how you feel. The same thing is up with my counter-strike. I cant play it anymore because for some reason it runs in slow mo. Like i can see others move at normal speed, but i run/shoot slower, and when i jump i float for a second. Ive been stumped as to why it does this.

Neverwinter Nights is a really great game. I've finished it twice, and the first expansion (Shadows of Undrentide) once. The expansion is cool, but the single player mode is really short. I don't have Hordes of the Underdark... yet.

I finally got NWN to work on my computer again... and they did a good job of capturing the brokenness of a Monk..... in D&D they're unstoppable, and the same goes for NWN

Yeah, especially at level 20 when they get an absurd amount of resistance to just about everything. They gain magic resistance earlier.
