I doubt Sasuke will show up just yet, I see him making a brief appearance in the final few panels of this saga with Kabuto and Orochimaru.

Yes he opened a gate, maybe more than one. Naruto's rasengan may look like crap but I think that it wasn't his most powerful, and he did hit, but Itachi made the others look like himself for Naruto, so Naruto hit his own partners.

And OMG! Kakashi resulted to be the third person Itachi was talking about, he can use Mangekyo. Maaaaan! this is waaaay cool :lol:

Wow, what an awesome chapter! What was it that Itachi did? Did he use Henge to make himself look like Chiyo and Sakura for a moment? And if so, what happened to the real Chiyo, Sakura, and Kakashi?
Gai was amazing too! It was so cool to see him go all out like that. At the end of the chapter, Kisame appears to be lying in a crater on the ground. Do you guys think he's dead?

Edit: Oh yeah, Neji breaking free of the water prison was great too.

Edited again: Y'know, it just occurred to me--if Kisame is indeed either dead or severely injured, will that screw up the Akatsuki's jutsu? Gai may have just saved Gaara!
Also, if Itachi is indeed losing his vision, it doesn't seem to be interfering with his ability to fight at all--which makes me happy.

In response to what itachi did, i think he has Naruto trapped in a genjutsu. That explains why one moment Kakashi and Itachi are fighting, and the next moment all three are knocked out. Now Naruto sees everyone around him as Itachi, and might start attacking sakura and kakashi thinking they are itachi!!!

the chapter was ok. I'm not a big gai fan so it was not as good for me. The fight of gai and ksieam was very good. I liked how gai opened 6 gates at once. and how he used that peacock taijutsu very cool.

And then Itachi makes a clone to attack naruto, that also takes place in reality. i can understand what he means by seeing gais massive fire attack, yeah thats pretty similar to the dbz style of having the character enter a rage and send several destructive blasts at a large area. although the dbz theory could've been made when lee opened gates in the chuunin tournament.

Considering the timeline of Naruto, Kakashi would have already become the owner of Obito's sharingan eye by the time Itachi killed his entire clan and proclaimed that there could be 3 users of Mange. However, I don't think he meant Kakashi. I think it's possible Kakashi pushed himself to the limits and was able to find a way to gain Mange, just a theory. In that case, Itachi would have meant someone else. Which would bring us to 4 users. That is IF Kakashi really does have Mange. It's hard to tell, in that picture...it looks the same in the raw too, I had to check since last time they put fake sharingan in the Akatsuki's boss's eyes. If that picture on page five is indeed the Mangenkyou Sharingan which is appers to be. Then that would pretty much have to mean that naruto is stuck in a genjutsu because Kakashi would have seen right through the Kage Bunshin and would not have even bothered with it. Although I have a feeling that naruto know's what's goin down and he's just trying to lure itachi into a false sense of security. Either that or Kakashi does and the Mangekyou and he put naruto in the genjutsu so that naruto would not interfere in the fight.

three things ive noticed, naruto has some awesome jutsu speed, until now weve seen it three thimes with kage bunshin and ones with rasengan,

first two times were against kakashi in the get the bells training and the third time was when kakashi got attacked by grandma,

and figuing itachis speed, naruto must have made that rasengan prety darn FAST

all i know, is that naruto definately improved dramaticlaly

Actually they have once or twice. I doubt it was Mangekyou. Kakashi would have needed to kill Obito which he didn't do. They would have made a bigger deal out of it than they did. Also it wouldn't just "be". There would be like a big picture of it changing. There would be no explaining Kakashi's Mangekyou but he probably has it considering the events in chapter 257.

But it is a big deal. Even Kishimoto knows that. Kakashi found another means to get Mangekyou...I don't know about you but I think that deserves at least half of a page. When Sasukes sharingan upgraded they made a friggin huuge deal out of it. I highly doubt it was Mangekyou, Especially with Naruto in Genjutsu.

From the looks of the picture Kakashi does indeed have the Mangenkyou Sharigan. I've been over it a million times since it came out, and every time I reach the conclusion that it is infact what it looks like. It is entirely possible because Kakashi did advance to Sharigan from two dots to three. Second off Itachi more than likely already knew that Kakashi had the three dots considering they've fought before. So more than likely kakshi showed him a glimpse of the mangenkyou and that is what itachi was suprised about. I saw somebody mention that kakashi would have had to of killed obitio to obtain it. That may not be true you cannont just assume that killing your best friends is the only way of obtaining it. There pretty much has to be because sasuke didn't kill naruto. Even though he probably could have he decided it would do it his own way.

As for making a big deal about Kakashi having it that would just screw up the whole sense of emergency theme that has been going on in the last few chapers. If they took time to make a big deal about it and start explaining in depth how kakashi was able to obatin it then people would forget aobut the whole rush to save gaara thing. I've already caught myself putting it on the back burner because i've been so engrossed in the Gai vs Kisame and Itachi vs Team 7 and old lady fights. Not to mention that did make it relatively small in this chapter. Probably to pull a hide in plain sight kind of thing. Most people see the normall covered eye uncovered and think oh sharingan and just continue on. Unless they have to stop to read some text but there wasn't any on that picture it was lower in the page. Why, do draw your attention away from the top of the page.

Everyone should just slow their role. I believe that Kakashi is an unforeseen problem to Akatsuki now. I do believe that Kakashi can achieve Mangekyou and that he did. After this drama, Akatsuki will be monitoring him as well. 8)

I wouldn't go as far to say that he is a major threat, since not all of the Akatsuki members have been revealed. We can't assume how much Kakashi really means to Akatsuki until we see all members in action. For all we know, the leader of Akatsuki could use extremely powerful jutsu, and he may be capable of reducing Kakashi to a quivering heap with a mere glance, or twist of the wrist. But that is just speculation... but still, Kakashi is not the star of the show, I believe that Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke (who I feel will not show up this arc), will prove more problematic for Akatsuki, since they are the new Legendary Three.

KAKASHI DOES NOT HAVE MANGEKYO (or at least not in this chapter)! if he did, it would have been a big deal-not some far off shot of his sharingan where it just "happens" to look like it. think people! when naruto unleashed kuubi, did it just show him normal and then show a far off, blurry shot of him in kyuubi form? NO! if somethng major like that happened, it be a big deal. don't draw dumb conclusions from one picture.

I agree 100% with 09tails. I mean let's think logically go to that page thats shows kakashi and look at it. The page size, i believe the page is to scale or slightly bigger. If you have to draw something in that little space you'll just end up drawing a blur. If i was kishimoto and i know that there will be people zooming into my artwork just to look at little things like that even I'll put more attention into it. I agree kakashi probably does have m. sharingan but not in this chapter.

First, there was the speech about all the details of the mangekyou. So many details that Itachi felt the need to comment on how impressed he was that Kakashi knew after just one fight. Then there was the "so, how bad has your eyesight gotten" and Itachi's response:"you couldn't have....".

There was some piece of knowledge that passed between Itachi and Kakashi that nobody else should know. Isn't it likely that it could be a detail dealing with the mangekyou itself?

Don't know what's gonna happen next, but I suspect that the mangekyou damages your eyesight with use. Kakashi has used it before now, and is experiencing this.

Kakashi doesn't have the mangekyo, at least not from that picture. Watch sasuke when he first gets the sharingan: he's got a band at the exact same place that kakashi does, meaning the circle in kakashi's eye isn't anything new. Apart from that, we see a 3 dot, just like he used to have.

more importantly, mangekyou is more than the dots merging with the pupil: a new dot appears in the center.

what I've thought of is either super speed, or a high level ninjitsu that can knock out opponents. remember in the flash back when like 4 guys came at him itachi just blew them away like nothing. Didn't even move. any thoughts?

Plus itachi's reaction to kakashi, he kindof looked down and away. generally that is body language that shows that the perosn is afraid.

I hope kakashi doesnt have m. sharingan. It seems like kishimoto is just trying to find a reason to make kakashi stronger or something. to keep up with the recent influx of even more powerful characters

tbh i've looked at that pic, i believe it more to be merely a bad quality because its such a small eye. if you have manegkyou in full view you also see the black circle outline pales into insignificance compared to how the three dots merge up, with kakashis eye that black circle outline is about same thickness as the dots, making me think it was more artist error, than a sly hint to mangekyou.

although if you wish to discuss further i cant stop you... but the answer is in 259 or possibly 260, though i reckon we'll pan out narutos predicament to begin with in 259 before gai finishes his sentence lol
