This isn't a site or internet related problem.

A glitch in my system, I have no idea wtf it is, but it's fucking annoying and I want it gone!

So this is what it does. I log on to my account on the computer, and the taskbar and desktop icons are all there... until I open something. I'll click on "My Computer", and everything will just disappear, except for my desktop background. Internet is working, obviously, but I can only access my programs from taskmanager. If I minimize this window now, all I see is the desktop background. There's no desktop, no taskbar.

Sometimes they'll show up when I click on "My Shared Folder" in Kazaa, and I'll be like, yay, but then after 30 seconds, they disappear again, along with MSF.

Anyways... anyone ever had this happen... and know how to fix it?

I don't know how to fix it , but i do know how to get it back , but i don't know how long it will stay there

1-Press ctrl, then alt, then del (hold them in) until that little screen appears.(you know)
2-Then go to "File" , "new Task (run)" , then type in c:\windows\explorer.exe , that will bring back the taskbar dor i don't know how long

But if you wanna fix the problem for good , you'll have to most probably reinstall windows , mmm... ???

mm sounds like you might have a virus or some spyware. for spyware download "spybot search and destroy" or for viruses u need to buy software. but yeah, you can just open the run menu and type in: explorer and it will restore the rest of your desktop

It sounds like you have some backgroungd programs that are causing an invalid page fault in explorer.exe (which is windows). Create a shortcut in your startup programs for C:\windows\drwatson.exe . This is the Windows problem finder thing (lol). An icon for drwatson will show up in your system tray (bottom right of screen), double click it then enable the advanced view. Look at the 'Hooks' tab after following any instructions in the first window. Copy down the names of any programs in the 'hooks tab. Then go to Start Menu/Run then type msconfig. in msconfig go to the startup programs tab. These are all of the programs that startup when you turn the computer on and run in the background while you do stuff. There are going to be duplicate programs in this list; find all duplicate names and eliminate one of them (so that there are only one of each program here). Then find the programs you copied down from 'Hooks' and disable them too. Apply these changes, click ok and restart your computer. This should help with your problem. Also it is possible, but highly unlikely that you have been hacked or recieved a virus through kazaa. kazaa is obscenely easy to hack (get rid of it).

I really hope this helps you or anyone else who has problems (doing this stuff will fix many problems, not just yours).

I know the feeling of having my computer angry at me, so i can sympathise with your situation.
