for the last time rock lee's chuunin, this has been stated in the chapter 247. and the jacket's only a ninja jacket, remember, iruka and shikamaru wore the same jacket, and they're only chuunin.

This chapter was pretty good. It's cool that Sakura has medical jutsus now--if she was able to heal Kankuro when even that old lady couldn't, she must be really good with them too.
That old lady seems kind of weird...I wonder what her grudge against Konoha's White Fang is?

That old lady is hilarious. She attacks Kakashi and Naruto blocks it. Then she's all "HAHAHAH I'm just being senile!" She just gave away the possibility that Kakashi will be the one defeating Sasori. Some long standing grudge. Sorry, but NO SUPRISE from Sakura, more like a know your role. Neji looks cooler with his Hyuuga type of outfit. Gai and Lee are all talking like it'll take a half day to a day to get to the village of sand....rotfl!!! :lol: That should be interesting. Best part I think out of all of this.............Naruto can sandbag even longer. Ooooh the possiblities are "totemo omoshiroi desu!" :!: Good chapter.

Yayerr...Gai's Teams back and they look so much better, cept for Gai who hasn't changed a bit. Lee with the Chuunin Jacket seems to fit, Tenten doesn't look like the little newbie she used to be, and Neji looks badass now.

Naruto and Sakura seem hella strong now, since Sakura can cure things the old lady couldn't and Naruto was able to at least keep up with the old lady in her attacks. Cant wait to see Gai's team in action.

Oh, and I dont get whats up with them sneezing.

I have to agree that it is very impressive that Sakura could heal what no- one in the Sand could heal. And she did it pretty quickly and easily. Not even a sweat.

And of course Naruto jumping in between Kakashi and some-one instead of Kakashi jumping in front of him. Kind of ironic the reversal of roles. And the fact that Naruto's reactions were the fastest. He got in front of Kakashi before Kakashi could get out of the way. Either that or Kakashi was just being lazy as usual.

Think we are in for some GREAT chapters ahead.

Awesome chapter, i kind of hated the old lady for constantly bitching, she doesn't seem like the sweet old lady, but more like the crazy old woman that constantly peeps out of her windows.

Gai's team is sooooo cool! I wonder what rank tenten is (most likely chuunin though). I really doubt that konohamaru team will go off to the sand as well, despite the sneezing thing, because they just became genin, the toughest mission team 7 had was probably the rank b (or a it varies from translators) against zabuza, and that was only suppose to be a rank c mission. They just became genin so i doubt that they will go anyway, its not like Narutos team needs any help medical or fighting wise from people of their skill. Basically, it is obvious that they made Ebisu sneeze to make the audience think that they was gona go, then BAM, the reintroduction of Gai and co when we least expect it.

I think it is most likely that the leader already have a demon inside of him though. Remember the last chapter before the kakashi gaiden people, they were having a debate was the last person talkin itachi or the leader, but whoever he was he had special eyes, meaning:

1)it could be itachi with sharingan
2)it could be the leader with sharingan
3)it could be the leader with a demon inside of him

Personally to me it looks like no.3 because it doesn't look like itachi if you compare his hair style, and because it doesn't look like sharingan to me as well.

Buddhist legend tells of 'kitsune’ who disguise themselves as nuns, and wear traditional robes (depicted in Netsuke figurines). Fables tell how the fox likes to appear as women. Stories tell that while the ‘kitsune’ is in such a guise, he goes about tricking and misleading men into seduction. When the seduced come to the realisation of the true identity of their supposed love, the fox disappears. Legends tell of how ‘Kitsune’ can hypnotize people and lead them into perilous situations. To do this, according to the tales, they illuminate the path leading to such disasters, and this illumination is known as a ‘foxflare

Well that describes Naruto definatly, he retains his foxlike features, is able to change his shape. And loves to appear as a beautiful woman (Sexy No Jutsu).

In Japanese legend there are tales that depict snakes and dragons with supernatural powers. In ancient Japan the people believed in the snake-god ‘Orochi’, who lived on the very top of mountains. The Buddhist religion told of the dragon-god ‘Ryu’ who ruled the clouds, the rain, and the water. There was the dragon ‘Yasha’, one of the demon-gods who protected Buddhism. All these deities have wide mouths, sharp fangs, pointed horns, and all-seeing eyes.

Ok, we have the snake as Orochimaru. Judging from the rest of these it's very likely that one of the demons is a Dragon. Obviously it's not certain, but it'd make sense.

Anyway one more interesting tidbit I found...

Those who achieved immortality could fly, walk on clouds, and pass through water unharmed. They were considered guardians of Taoism and protectors of humankind. The peach is the symbol of immortality and many netsuke figurines are depicted with this fruit. Immortals are also depicted carrying a three-legged frog, or pictured riding on a giant carp5 or a horse. The most famous of the immortals are the ‘Sennin’, the eight Taoist immortals. They are seen in art and netsuke figures breathing out their souls via their breath, wearing the robes of Taoist sages, or carrying gourds.

That explains where the Sennin title came from, and we have the frog and gourd as major symbols in Naruto... looks like it borrowed very heavily on Japanese mythology.
