Yeah, Sasori's tail reminded me of Kimi too. He's also the only Akatsuki member we've seen so far who doesn't have a forehead protector to indicate which village he used to be part of.
It's cool that Kankuro can use those scrolls to summon his puppets. Do you think he'll be able to delay the Akatsuki guys long enough for Kakashi's team to get to Sand? Or will one of the Akatsuki escape with Gaara? Kankuro is my least favorite of the three Sand siblings, but I still hope he doesn't get killed.
Do you suppose Temari will go to Sand with the Kakashi team? I imagine that when she hears her brother's been kidnapped she'll want to go and rescue him right away.

Ok apparently nobody else has ever thought of this but if you notice Gaara still has the armor of sand on. Now think of this for a minute Gaara + Years of training and strength enough to be kazekage = uber powerful armor of sand. Not to mention the fact that Gaara has an awarness of all the sand from his gourd. So if that akatsuki guy ate some of it with his sand Gaara would have known it. So which lead me to belive one of two things. A. Gaara is just letting the aka guys think he's down and out and is just waiting for his time to strike or B. He's not really there and the armor of sand is empty much like what he did to Rock lee in the chuunin exam. So the way I see Kankoru isn't is as much danger as you all think. Not to mention that Naruto has been training with a Sanning for two and a half years. So as for the distance factor look at it his way. In two and a half years of training Naruto has to be incredibly fast. Now we all have seen Sasuke and Rock Lee's speed. However, when traveling lost distances they can't travel at that speed because it consumes to much chakra and enegery. While naruto on the other hand could travel at that incredible speed to get there quickly because with kyuubi is has infinite chakra and stamina. Now of course I don't know that naruto has the kind of speed but I can speculate that he does. I mean come on he got the bells from kakashi without even being serious. He was just playing around with kakashi and he still got them. So you know he has to be pretty bad ass right now.

Erm.. the explosion can be so big and strong that it can bypass gaara's protection, who knows?

And another solution is that gaara's sand may not have gotten protected fast enough before the bird thingy exploded.

i think it lame, that he had to use that last part of sand to seal up the hole, when it was made very clear that his DEFENCE is automatic, fast and efficient, and that it doesnt have to be perfect sphere, of a certain size, when he was a kid he survived 2 attacks with only half a sphere, ( see attacks in his flashback of his aunt))

Chances are, some of the predictions are right. More than likely, to protect his village from more damage, Gaara may have let himself get captured under false pretenses to lure them away from the village. Adversely he could possibly be beaten. I think it is all a ruse.

As for Naruto learning new things, the most likely change is that he has learned to do the Rasengan in each hand instantaneously. My personal favorite idea is that he has learned to use Kyuubi chakra separately from his own at any given time, that way he can do a blue one in the left hand and a red one in the right hand. Then we could get statements like "Do you want the blue pill or the red pill?". Then as he jams it into their gut something like "FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT NOW DAMNIT!!!".

OK as for the strength of his defense we all remember the fight against rock lee. Rock lee opened five of the eight gates and pummeled the hell out of Gaara but his armor sand held up pretty damn well. I seriously doubt that, that one explosion did that much more damage than the damage he took from Rock lee. Second off Gaara is much stronger now and can easily put more Chakra into the sand he uses as the armor thus strengthening it further. And 3rd the armor of sand is always on Gaara so speed insn't even a factor there. He has the armor there at all times just incase somebody manages to bypass all the other sand. So more than likely he is faking it just to get away from the village so he can show off his true power. I smell a forced sleep Jutsu coming along soon.

Ok sorry for the double post but he makes a very good point here. Why on earth would Gaara use his sand to seal an explosive inside with him. That just does not make sense. When he does that it make the force of the explosion greater on him. Gaara is to smart to just have accidentally done that. He obviously didn't want the akatsuki guy to see something. Also why would he put himself at that kind of a risk unless he was positive that he wouldn't be harmed by it. More than likely he purposely did that knowing the armor of sand would protect him from the explosion giving him the opportunity to distance the fight from the village so that he could fight all out. Gaara more than likely was holding back the entire time because he didn't want to damage the village in anyway. So if you look at this logically as i have it's not hard to figure out that Gaara almost has to be faking his defeat.

There is a difference between explosion notes and the explosive devices used by that guy. He molded some of his explosives into gaara's sand. So therefore that explosion was right next to him. That sand that gaara uses is the sand from the gourd which has chakra molded into it. He had to use his absolute defense to defend from the explosions. Then when he sealed himself back up, that sasori guy blew his ass up.

Read my lips...."Akatsuki". These individuals are the most powerful ninjas on the planet that are not affiliated with any village anymore. For all intense purposes, they are "evil". Every single one of them is at Kage level. They have been at that level for many many years. We know that they were all in that group as of the Chuunin exam 2.5 years ago and for an undetermined amount of time before that. When we learned of them, Orochimaru (who killed the Hokage) had already been a member and left. He was even afraid of Itachi, stating at one point that he could not defeat him (he alluded to it after his arms were taken). Gaara is strong, yes. Gaara has also only been Kazekage for less than 3 years. The shear level of experience from time in grade of Kazekage doesn't even come close to the level that these individuals are at. Gaara may be strong, but Akatsuki members are at equal strength, and probably smarter in terms of tactics because of their age and experience. In order to leave a village and be able to not be killed by the ANBU death squads, and avoid being discovered in a world where EVERYONE seems to be a ninja, would seem so be a sign that they are well above the level of pretty much any individual ninja. I say pretty much because there are exceptions. Each villages Kage and Sannin are that exception. Possibly a Jounnin or two. That's about it. So the idea that one Akatsuki member could defeat Gaara isn't really an extreme stretch of the imagination, it's just a blow to the ego of the die hard Gaara fans.

However, as I stated previously, I wouldn't be surprised if Gaara was still ok and is going with them to keep them from destroying his village.

I don't hink gaara is with them at all :3 I say this because if you look closely on the pages of chp. 250 you'll notice gaara's face looks how should i say... a little bit hollow...:D I think htat the akatsuki got a fast one pulled on them, what if the gaara they think they have is merely a sand bushin (think back to the fight with rock lee and the ura renge) remember lee (gai as well) only took his eyes of gaara for a second and thats when the switch occured. What if gaara did hte same in the confusion of the explosion??? I mean nobody could actually see gaara when he was covered by his sphere of sand so it could be probable

these akatsuki members are associated with itachi, the man who single handedly eliminated one of the most prestigious clans of knonoha, and he may not even be the strongest member of akatsuki. also from what i noticed by chewing garaa's sand he turned it into a powerful explosive and put it back into his defensive sand, therefore there was a powerful explosion within the defensive barrier that hit garaa point blank. seeing as how his body has never taken a serious hit i don't think the powerful kazekage will be moving for a while.
