Bleach the next Naruto?

Does anyone else think bleach is going to be next the anime to take of big , in the western countries, like naruto did?

The series ahs already gathered a fair following and is only just getting into the good arc. And with naruto likley to either take another side story or stop for a whole season at the end of its current arc I think bleach has a pretty good chance of filling the void.

i think the plot is too complicated for most americans
so it wont be as popular as naruto in western countries
but for us... why not. it is great show (but i hope the wont stop airing naruto)

Bleach is like another version of dragonballz.

Someone gains powers, evil things comes, then some fag with enourmous power comes and beats up ichigo (Like goku getting beat up by freeza), then ichigo trains and gets stronger and tries to go save rukia.

And it feels good to have DBZ back if you know what i mean.

I think the story line of BLEACH so far is so-so. The more i watch it the more and more I begin to love it though. Im just not to fond of the constant Hollow concept, but damn that Kon is waaaaaaaaaay to funny.

Bleach has a lot of potential, I like the storyline, chars, and how everything kind of turns out. Naruto was really big because a lot of people like Sasuke and the whole Ninja thing. Most places I see have Naruto and Bleach sections so I'd say yes ^^

The thing is in Bleach, there is no real good or evil side, unless you want to take the point of view that Death gods are good and hollows are evil.

However, i think if it were to be released, there may be changes to it, since it is sort-of religious in that it deals with the whole life, death and afterlife thing.

Another thing I've found lately is that it's sorting beginning to flow along the lines of Samurai Deeper Kyo, especially in their preparations for the assault on the Soul Society. In SDK, Kyo trained up before attacking the city of the Mibu to save a girl, Shiina Yuya. Ichigo is doing the same thing, training up to go save Rukia. During the assault numerous tough enemies show up and a massive fight ensues, generally ending with serious injuries on our hero and the enemy being defeated.

Also, Dragon ball was first released, in manga form at least, way way back in 1984.

ah not really, in naruto it matters who you fight, in bleach it matters who is stronger and gains the most power. That is what DBZ is like.

But in naruto, i bet someone like rocklee or gai cant beat kidomarou because of his range and web traps, but neji can because neji can cut through webs.

I hope the hollow pluses things develops out better as the story goes along. So far im finding it kinda bland, but still good enough that the curiosity remians. Im only on episode 13 btw, I was kinda hoping also that the "challange" between Ichigo and whatshisface was going to be a head to head battle, instead of a "chalange to see who can kill the most hollows in a certian amount of time."

Hopefully it will become more engrosing past there... The cockatiel episode was pretty awsome though.

Same here if Bleach gets as popular as Naruto it will probably be licensed and they'll totally screw up Ichigo's voice, and I just wont be able to whatch it without nightmares. T_T

I don't think you can totally compare Naruto and Bleach, they're diffrent. The whole licensing thing, well, i don't see why they have to change all the names, if we call pronounce them, why can't other people learn too. It just sucks how in the end the real fans miss out because over the big changes made.

actually it also depends on who liscences it doesnt it? the ppl that did dbz aint doin naruto so i heard.the action should remain almost the same. but i agree with changing the names. imagine it naruto sasuke sakura could be nathan shaun and samantha *shudder* seriously how hard is it to say "sass-keh"? the best we could hope for is somethin like "sass-oo-keh"

Im a Brit so that automatically assumes I cant understand the plot line ?, I have so many friends who love bleach as well as myself and as for naruto, you woudlnt know how many people I know who love that.

If bleach was licsensed, what would happen? *thinks hard* We would still be watching it in japanese via bittorrent. Bleach wont really become the next naruto as I cant really see it taking 100+ episodes for Ichigo to either defeat the remaining captains or escape soul society. I cant see it going further then a couple episodes after they escape soul society with rukia, as ichigo would basically rape any opponent he fought after fighting so many captains.

The most annoying thing for people who cant watch this on bittorrent is waiting an entire week for one episode to come out, getting up to about 30, then restarting from 1.

I actually prefer bleach. It seems so much more fast paced than Naruto... and I actually like the music a lot more. Shiro Sagisu is such a genius. (Composer of a lot of the Bleach soundtrack).

With the new naruto I think Bleach will get more ratings becoz I dont like watching anime in english its just to quirky and unauthentic!

Plus Ive gotten more attached to bleach than naruto becoz of its humor and there isnt such alot of FILLERS! There also isnt a Sakura and neither a wise ass!

Dont get me wrong I AM NOT DISSING NARUTO it just seems to me that since its been liscenced the makers dont pay anymore attention to the anime and its fine details and stuff! Which makes me kinda sad becoz its and great anime! So ya I think if and when the new Naruto starts BLEACH WILL TAKE OVA ^______^

Anyways, I like Bleach alot. Infact it is already borderline with me on being better than Naruto. Although I also loved the first beginnings of Naruto more than I have in the past few months. I hope Bleach can expand past 100 episodes and still hold its style. Naruto to me has changed alot especially in the last 50 or so episodes. Maybe its just the Anime has its 'fillers' and I want more of actual plot driven episodes. :D

I've only seen up to episode 30 so far so based on that...I liked Naruto better up to episode 30. Both have excellent character development but I much prefer the strategy based action scenes of Naruto. Bleach could easily surpass Naruo if it keeps up the quality though since Naruto has become so inconsistent since like episode 80 or so.

For me and I'm sure for most people, Naruto had it's peak during the Chunin exam. It's kinda been on a down turn since then. I like bleach better cause it has more of an adult feel and it's just picking up speed. Take it from a manga reader that it will stay good and continue to have plot twists and such. As far as the 22 filler eps rumor for bleach, I hope it's just that, a sick twisted rumor. That's the one thing that may keep me a Naruto fan.

Bleach surpassed Naruto awhile ago. Its like someone handed all the naruto animators a banana and said "animate episodes! GO". Then they hired the creators of americas next top model to be the writers for the filler.
