theyre akatsuki members....remember how strong itachi and kisami were? of course theyre going to be uber powerful
oh and the reason she can make a bird appear is because thats her jutsu. its like asking why sasuke can make his eyes go red.
and to answer the 3rd question the new villans need to be incredibly powerful because all the main characters are much stronger now....neji being a jounin, naruto training with a sannin for a few years,gaaras the friggin kazekage.....so we need super strong villans so they dont get owned by the not so weak anymore main characters

First we don't know alot about akatsuki members and we know that they are strong because there are made up of the most powerful S-ranked missing-nins. That mouth in the hand is very freaky. what about the other guy from Akatsuki? how he was sliding along on the sand. i wonder what he is?

If they didn't introduce new powers and crazy characters, the series would be even more repetitive then it is now. Yes the sand is strong, but there's always a group that's stronger.

wat did that mouth do any way one minute theres hundreds of sand nin then theres only one the manga didnt show what he did but does any one know. and a charcter that naruto said during the bells and kakashi thing he said kakashi has better small than kiba stronger sharingan than sasuke and better taijutsu than gimnyua something like that who is giminyua by the way just downloaded the manga its gejimayu i cant find him in any biographies

gejimayu is lee, but about the hand thing nobody knows since we havent seen it. Speculating is the only thing we can do.
