I cant believe Gaara's Kazekage. Its also pretty awesome that Temari, Kankurou, and Neji are Jounin's, but at the same time its kinda strange that all those guys are chuunin already. Funny how "far behind" Naruto is, but Im sure hes still stronger than most of them. Im not surprised about Neji being Jounin, but its weird how Kankurou is too...

I think that Naruto would want to take the chuunin exam. His personality doesn't allow him to be second best. The main problem is going to be his teammates. Who will they be? It might even be konohamaru ( 3rd hokage grandson right? ) end company. or some people we haven't met yet. The exam shouldn't be a problem, he should be able to carry his team through, but my gut tells me that there might be one opponent who would challenge him.

I think, and this is a big hunch, that Sasuke will also be in the exam and that they will have to face each other at some time. Maybe in the final battle. That would be great.

Best chapter in the longest time. Gaara as the Kazekage is sweet but didn't come as to much of a suprise. I just want to know what new abilities he's come with in these two and a half years. Neji becoming a jounin was also not a shocker he's just plain badass. Temari and Kankarou was a little bit of a suprise though. As for the chuuning exam I have no doubt that Naruto will enter it. Sasuke will more than likely also show up in the exam when he get's word that nartuo has returned to participate in it. And did anyone else catch this but i didn't see gaara wearing the gourd. Whats up with that, did he find another way to control sand, maybe he doesn't need the courd anymore he can just control it from whereever. I'm anxious to see how Lee has improved during this time. Maybe he finally started to be able to use Jutsus' and Gen Jutsus that's what i'm hoping at least. And what about Shikimaru he never really said what is offical rank was at this time. These new akatsuki members look very promising and I can't wait to see Gaara rip into them.

Naruto will not have to do the first 2 tasks of the chunnin exam, he only will have to participate into the final rounds. Right after that the katsuki will bust in and it will be one hell of a fight :D

Well take a look at what we saw of Gaara in the past;
Lee opening 5(or 6?) gates couldn't stop him... and at that strength I'm pretty sure Kakashi muttered his strength rivaled that of Jounin...
Survived multiple Chidoris, which are claimed to be an instant deathblow
Can summon a demon (is a demon? :P)
And I think we all remember what he did to Kimmaro ^.~

So in the two years if people are gonna insist that "OMG Naruto must be so much stronger now!" imagine how much better Gaara must be...

I don't think we'll see a chuunin exam... the only (main? -.-) character they'd have is Naruto and as has been said.. it really wouldn't be interesting to see just because of how strong Naruto's supposed to be >.>

Well...Naruto would still have to take the Chuunin exam, because Chuunins are chosen by the council or whatever. And it's not like the council members have all been watching Naruto, so they don't know his strength. The exam may not go very in depth, but Naruto would still have to participate. If they do want the exam to go in depth, they'd have to bring a plot twist of some sort, like Sasuke returning for the exam as well...

It would be pretty funny to see Naruto have to take the Chuunin exam with konohamaru though. I can't wait to see Lee, Shino, Kiba, Neji, and Sasuke again I hope they show at least Lee in the next chapter. Maybe this time Lee will come to save Gaara and open like seven gates and beat some akatsuki ass.

In all honesty, he probably will have to take the exam. However; it's also likely that he will miss this exam because of the battle in the Sand village. If anyone remembers, he is now on a team with Kakashi and Sakura and they supposedly have a mission to do. That will probably take precedence over the Chuunin exam. Only way they will have him do it is if Tsunade tells him he has to, then they will delay the mission until the test is over. The only reason the last test was spanned over a few months was because they had to have preliminary matches. They will probably cut that out this time (if he takes it) and just go straight to the last part.

I don't think Naruto will progress past "genin" let's face it the status titles like chuunin and jounin mean nothing now considering how our "main characters" have proven to be stronger than most while mere genins.... the titles mean nothing now ¬.¬

i don't think naruto would have to be a "chuunin" before getting promoted to a "jounin". a "jounin" isn't just a strong "chuunin", a "jounin" is someone who mastered his/her way of the ninja. kakashi said once that becoming a "chuunin" was nothing cuz he did it at age six. it was better when all the characters were rookies because it showed who was the most mature and capable of leading a team. but now everyone has already matured and can lead a mission if it was neccessary. if anything i think that all of konoha's superiors are looking for which of those rookies from 3 years ago are true masters of their ninja ways.plus i think its also good in a funny,ironic way that the strongest character is still DEAD LAST but now he is no longer the unwanted, outcast.

the plot jumped straight into the akatsuki arc, its likely that there are akatsuki after naruto too. dont think there will be time for naruto to participate in any exam!

the sand was probably very weakened by their attempt on konoha, could explain why kankuro is jounin too. anyway, they are siblings of the kazekage...

shika is probably jounin, i think, cos all the examiners in the exam we saw were jounins...

The most importtant and wonderous thing about Naruto's development is actually how he's able to control Kyubi's chakra from now on. Because that is the thing that makes him powerful (beside stubbornness and never giving up "strong character" ) and the main character. Also i don't think Naruto will take a chounin exam again. He wont have time. If he fulfilled the requirements, Jiraiya must have told Tsunade that. So an advice or suggestion of a sannin is strong enough to make someone jounin or chounin. These are my assumptions ofcourse.
Another thing is (i'm shocked no one mentioned it) how Sasuke has grown. He must be very very very powerful.(More than Naruto i guess) He got trained by Orochimaru.He has one of the most powerful cursed seal(as strong as Kimimaro's,we saw his level 2 right? Quite amazing.) ,and a Mangekyou sharingan. He must know many forbidden jutsus,and a very powerful Kuchiyose.(Although i don't think any summon can challange Gambunata,exept the third's.)
Gaara is Kazekage... This shows he has truly turned in the favor of light. He rules the Sand Country,which is quite a big responsibility.(That means if Naruto takes the exam again he has 2 people in the council who belive he is a hero or the strongest person or whatever..)
I'm quite sure that Gaara is the strongest shinobi in the Manga now.(Although it depends on how he controls Shukaku.Naruto and Gaara are definitely alike.)

She definitely doesn't wear Leaf's head protector. Actually it's quite obvious that it's a Sand's head protector.Zoom in and take a look at it again. We see the head protector in 2 boxes.

Anyway she really looks like İno. Maybe they have a connection.(Depending on the jutsu. She uses a jutsu similar to Ino's. Well, it's curious...) We don't know Ino's family or bacground besides Sakura. Also, I don't belive Ino could develop such a jutsu. She's not that powerful i think. Cuz that jutsu would require enormous amounts of chakra with precise control. And whot's up with that hand? Is she a monster too? (Actually i did not like that idea. Cuz it looks like it's taken from Vamqire Hunter D. Not an original idea...)

This manga has got so much playgerism (sorry bad at spelling) that it is unbelievable, but i still think that it was stuck together in a good way. Here are some examples (my examples may be the other way around because i do not know which mangas came out first):

1) 1000 years of pain, stolen form Slam Dunk were the main character done the same thing to the coach of the opposite team during their first match.

2) Sasuke and sharingan, stolen form Kurapica from Hunter x Hunter, eyes can turn red, and they are last of their clan and they vowed revenge, only difference is Sasuke's eye is cooler.

3) Gaara of the desert, ability stolen from a guy from One Piece called Crocodile, he was able to control sand because he ate an evil fruit and was made of sand himself.

4) *Minor Point* an old man in one piece (for those of you that read refer back to Luffy vs. Buggy the Clown 1st encounter), made an emotional statement on how he would never let any pirates take his village because the village was his treasure, which is like Naruto's ninja way, or the 3rd Hokage (you'll kinda get it if you read it).

5) Rock Lee disadvantage of Taijutsu, is again like Luffy from one piece, he is a pirate that can not swim which is considered a great weekness, but still he has a goal to be the best despite that.

I'm sure there are more but I am not a manga/anime expert. Again i don't know did kishimoto stole it or was inspired from it or did other artists copy him, because as i said i am not a manga/anime expert, just my opinions.

there is actually proof it isnt Ino besides the obvious fact that she wouldnt be that strong yet.
If youve read the chapter youll notice the "Ino" character says "yeah" at the end of sentences for no real reason. Go back to the chapter just before the kakashi gaiden (238 i think). Its the one where at the end they show a bunch of akatsuki members in sillouhettes. The same character is there because one of them speaks and also says "yeah" at the end of the sentence....this was three years ago when we see ino still in konoha

wow....well it is very amazing that Gaara is Kazekage. He deserves it. his story and his perserverance is indeed amazing. i believe that Naruto is not as strong as Gaara. although he may be the main character and has trained under one of the three sannin for the past 2+ years, it is not entirly positive how strong he is. afterall, Tsunade mentored/trained Sakura and she is only a chuunin. Although that may seem unfair to say, because JIraiya and Oorichimaru are stronger, rememeber that each of the three have their own complexities and attributes that make then interestingly strong. Naruto probably is strong, but in what aspects is he stronger than others. Its very hopeful that he is now able to manipulate Kyuubi's chakra in some way shape or form. With 2 years of experience and training, many new doors have opened and it would be amazing to see how everyone else has been doing. like everyone else, i cannot wait until the fight with Akatsuki in the Sand village. After all, it is his element and everything around him bends and twists to his every thought. it will be very interesting. especially with the girl taking to the sky, it will have to be interesting to see how gaara will deal with her and with the crawling/sliding akatsuki member as well.

In response to what everyone has been saying about the status/relation of the female akatsuki member, i believe that she has some tie to that man she has control over. i believe that they are somehow related closley (husband?) and she controls him somehow. maybe he is also another person who has been bitten by Oorichimaru and now has the cursed seal on their body and possibly, the akatsuki has found a way to control them....very hypothetical but i wanted to throw it out there.

Hahaha i guess someone is referring to me. Please read my post again and give me a quote on how i bash one piece, i never once said that either one piece or naruto was crap i was just saying that they shared the same ideas, and i also said: but i still think that it was stuck together in a good way. about naruto. As for one piece, well i didn't give an opinion about the anime/manga, but I'm sure I didn't say anything negative, please correct me if I am wrong.

Actually there's not much plagerism going on. Try reading Rurouni Kenshin where every other evil character is ripped off of Marvel or X men.

It's a little harsh for you to say he plagiarized. If you look at any story, film, or cartoon (anime or otherwise) you'll find elements that are either barrowed, inspired by, or paid homage to something that came before it. What makes it interesting and original is the way the elements are brought together. You could call it plagiarization if he took the whole of another story and claimed it as his own.

This manga has got so much playgerism (sorry bad at spelling) that it is unbelievable, but i still think that it was stuck together in a good way. Here are some examples (my examples may be the other way around because i do not know which mangas came out first):

1) 1000 years of pain, stolen form Slam Dunk were the main character done the same thing to the coach of the opposite team during their first match.

>> Probably more like a rather funny reference to Slam Dunk. Funny references are used all the time, especally in anime and Looney Toons.


2) Sasuke and sharingan, stolen form Kurapica from Hunter x Hunter, eyes can turn red, and they are last of their clan and they vowed revenge, only difference is Sasuke's eye is cooler.

There is a BIG difference between plagiarizm and what examples you gave here. You're right, there are way more references than what you mentioned. But you know what, you'll find that in just about every anime/film/book/story out there. If it was truly plagerizm, Kishimoto would have been sued by now. Nothing is truly original, even at the most basic level. You don't need to be an manga/anime expert to know that.

well even in that one chapter there were too many to list but here's an example of how the translation is broken and misleading English Naruto readers:

in the original jump comic jaraiya says that to get past that defence of the sand country would be difficult even for him. He overrates the sand defences.

In the translated version Jaraiya says it wouldnt be that difficult for him to get in the sand country. He underrates the sand defences.




Another example is how in the English translation it is quite clear that both the akatsuki members are going to attack the village.

BUT in the original Japanese version, only the blonde ninja is going to fight gaara and the other guy (sasori) is staying put. In the Japanese version sasori says, "Dont take too long" and in the English version he says "I can't wait."


I'm sorry but Inane needs to get some better translators to work for him or something. A lot of the wording has been suffering ever since naruto went lvl 2 demon fox. By that I mean some of the sentences are awkward.

She definitely doesn't wear Leaf's head protector. Actually it's quite obvious that it's a Sand's head protector.Zoom in and take a look at it again. We see the head protector in 2 boxes.

I still can't see it but oh well i guess my argument is broked down. Also the comment about the jutsu form the hand, i never relaised she was doing it i thought that little slug looking guy was doing it, a normal person would come to the conclusion that a deformed looking guy would have a deformed looking jutsu like that, but oh well i guess it's just my bad reading skills. But i still think that Shika will just let Naruto go straight to finals or something since he is the examiner, either that or it would be real funny seeing Shika give him a real difficult task or pick on him.

i think kishimoto is gonna completely destroy the sand village and gaara will have to chill with naruto and konoha. its a long shot but the somewhat sketchy evidenc ei have is how those ppl in akatsuki completely tore those defenses down with their spy. he could prolyl do it again. and! orochimaru also has somethign going on in there. akatsuki+sound village hostility= trouble and weapons of mass destruction
