Naruto looks cool, can't wait to see all the other characters as well, i.e. Hinata, Shikamaru, Ino, Chouji, and Lee to name a few. Konohamaru still has his goggles on though, a sign he has yet to graduate from the academy. (Sigh) To bad i hoped he would have after two and a half long years. All the adult characters haven't changed a bit so far as we've seen. Maybe we will start to see new faces in Naruto, or maybe Akatsuki members will start to reveal themselves (not just a shadowy outline) and will have names to go with faces. Ohhhhh can't wait to see what happens next!! Have not been this excited since the Naruto/Sasuke climax fight. :D

Maybe the black on top is a hint at a darker personality , but the orange is how he's still a kid underneath. Or maybe the opposite, I don't know. Maybe the black represents him becoming mature and the orange him still being immature. And how he seemed mature one minute, but was still the same immature Naruto we know and love the next. I really don't think it would be a good idea to see Naruto's new perverted jutsu. He's 15 now instead of 12, and he's spent the last 3 years with Jiraiya of all people, I don't even want to think what his new jutsu is. I'm really excited for the next chapter now. The bell test is great way to see how strong Naruto and Sakura are, and compare them to a jounin like Kakashi.

Naruto can't be anything else than Genin. He just came back to Konoha after 2 1/2 years. How could he have been offically recognized as Chounin when he was not in town? Do you think Tsunade said:"oh well, I havent seen him for a year, but I'm sure he is good enough by now, so he'll be Chounin from now on..." I mean, Naruto left Konoha and came back years later.

I see only one chance: it could be possible that he particpated in some exam that took place in an other village. The exams are held in different villages every time, right? But I don't think that the exams are held in these times and Naruto would have needed a new team to particpate. So think this is rather unlikely.
I think he's still Genin, but no doubt he has improved!

about the whole chunnin/jounnin thing i think that tsunade may just say hey your chunnins now or somehting like that cause their team has been destroyed and who knows they might be able to fight at the jounnin level its pretty possible seeing as jiraiya knows that akatsuki is after him now.

naruto couldnt form the rasengan with one hand only hold it with one hand...he still needs a kage bunshin to do it (with the exception of the kyuubi rasengan)
and imo narutos strength should be jounin level now....he was at least chuunin strength normally before....and given 2 and a half years to improve i say hes jounin level strength...how else can he even hope to defend himself against akatsuki

As far as the whole title thingy goes, I would probably say that they are more accurately classified as "special". I mean, they probably aren't Jounin's, but they also aren't Chuunin's, because Chuunin's are squad leaders and are those that show the ability to lead groups into battle and have the ability to calmly analyze the situation and make decisions that will get the job done. Sometimes getting people on your own team killed. Naruto does not possess that ability, and Sakura *probably* does not possess that ability. In this show, often times the "special" ninja are close to, at, or above the level of Jounin, but have something special about them that keeps them from having that title.

The reason that they are now at the same level as Kakashi is because their instructors ahve said they are. And if the Sannin say their students are equals with Kakashi....I'm not even gonna THINK about arguing with them.

I know it makes sence, that´s a good way for Kakashi to know if they are at his level or not. He said ´you won´t get the bells if u don´t come with the intent to kill me´ and he wouldn´t repeat the same test (or however u wanna call it) just because...
What I mean is that I don´t think that getting the bells will give them the chuunin or jounin name. It´s just to show some action from the begining, like the first chapter :wink: That´s just what I think, but u might be right.

If you have read the manga or watch the anime in the very beginning... the bell test was given to them after they where made into "team 7." the bell test was used to check both their progress and they're teamwork then. and i should guess that this bell test is the same as before. btw the words that kakashi spoke: "if you dont come at me with the intent to kill, you'll never get the bells," he meant that if they wouldnt attack with everything they have they wont pass.

I'm hoping that during the course of training, naruto has learn to not only to use rasengan with out any hands, but using it with both hands.

By the way... Here's something I've thought of to chew on. Is there any practical reason for Orochimaru teaching Sasuke anything other than taijutso? I mean, he intends to take over his body anyway. At which point he'll be using his own knowledge. All he needs to do before hand is make sure its in good physical shape right?

If Sasuke learns enough to defeat Itachi and will "have no further use of his life", then would be the prime time for Oro to take over... and Orochimaru will know that Sasuke is superior to his original intended target.

i think the ball test is to see if either of them forget how to work as a team. that was the true purpose of the test from the beginning, even before kakashi was born. I doubt he would use it as a chuunin/jounin examination. If anything the mission that they are about to embark on would serve as a proper test to not only show their physical abilities under pressure but also how mature and capable they are of making real-life ninja decisions and executions(carry out a task). I think that any promotions would be based on the outcome of this mission and therefore we will have to wait.
