Yes not Best FF, best rpg over all...and im still going with FFVII, but keep in mind i have not finished gears of FFVI yet, im willing to go with the rumors that say they are on par, or beat FFVII, those are the only two games I will accept as better or on par with it though, cause they're suppose to be phonominal, so ya, im not saying its god, well yes it is, its like rome...just with no zues....and FFVIII gets to be banished as hades, or another god that got killed by zues....but ya.....I'll stop rambling and post this now

have to agree with you here dweezil. the story in this one was incredible. plus fei fong wong was a badass. i like FFVII ideas and all but the story is what makes the RPG IMO and xenogears beats all other RPGs in that catagory

Sevens plot kicked ass, (once again not saying tis better than xenogears, never played it through) I mean....ti wasn't generic, it wasn't the least bit generic, it was totaly original, and also, we all agree cloud was a pussy who was also a brick adn never talked. But the rest of the characters where awesome, so main to main, yes you might win, but VII was like the most original thing ever, so far...and gears did come after it btw

i am personally fond of Final Fantasy tactics..i thought tha twas absolute brilliance... the story... the gameplay ... it was just beauty

Hmmm. Best Rp game. Well, Final Fantasy Tactics and VI are on my list along with IX. In VII I couldn't beat the wall boss dude so I never beat the game and VIII was just so easy to beat that the last boss was such a pushover. FFX was alright, and X-2 is so-so. Yet, Chrono Trigger is up there too. I dunno.

I was very tempted to chop up that post and make it more suitable , one to match your charactor more but i decided to leave it as it is....

Hm...best RPG ever...well FFVII is definetly NOT the best. I loved the Materia system in that, and the plot was decent, but it got too outrageous. Personally I am a more a fan of the SNES RPGs more than current ones. I would definetly say that FFVI, FFIV (Hard), and Chrono Trigger are among my favorite ones ever. As far as current FF are going, the stories are all seeming to go in a pattern. Which is the main character is forgetting something major / the main character is completely messed up. Cloud - Not real at all (? I don't know, this confused the hell out of me), Squall - All of the characters pasts were intertwined, they all had no idea, Zidane - Not human, a genome, Tidus - He's a dream, he's not alive (?). Anyways, I just seem a lot of similarites between the plots, and all the characters are annoying and whiny. I miss the badass classic characters like Kain and Cecil, yeah...FFIV (hard) was my favorite.

FFx was a eay game so of course lots of people new to the rpg world knew it woud be easy so they did it.Xenogears is harder andheck has asolid storyline and the rewards for beating it is well worth it.

Its a console game by sega. it was on the dreamcast but it is now on the gamecube. It a turn based battle system but when you board you ship (this whole game you sail form island to island but you're in the sky. Don't worry it not tedius as wind waker) its pure stragey and tatics.

meh, Gamecube to me is a waste of money so I guess I'll never play it.

I have expanded to the MMORPG area, and found it insanely fun(and those are addictive little things) especially PVP based ones hehe (LIneage) but as for the rest.... i AM a Final Fantasy fan for a reason, Great STory, and fun. BUT just because its a Final Fantasy doesnt mean its good, it earned its status with game after game of continued goodness. As for Fallout... never played or even heard of it. Now for action rpg... hm that is VERY tough one to choose.. i'll let you know when i get one
