Whats the oldest anime that u can remember?

Lol, i second that, when i was like 2 when i got back from japan, i rented it over and over again, and i cant for get it now that im "exposed" to anime, and watch it all the time, i cant forget my "roots" and what got me started

We watched it in out japanese class, hey at edvd storry (see my CHEAP ANIME post) They sell all of his works, up to like sprited away, they're all great, same style and everything, and its a god like collection to have, if you loved totoro, get the set, adn trust me, its not boot leg, its authentic, i wounldn't lie about this

I believe my first anime series that I liked had these five kids that had those bird like suits. I dont remember its name or anything just that I watched it before I went to school everyday. Of course there was Transformers and I have watched it a long time through Beast Wars and some of this new version. My first anime movie would have been the Last Unicorn.

omg im not the only one that remembers the Last Unicorn.. thank god. That was probably my first as well, if not then it was Thundercats or Voltron.. or the original Transformers

thundercats, the original heman, and the original transformers. they were my most favorite shows when I was between 4 - 8 then I found out a bout pokemon , dragonball z and digimon. but I still remember the first ones I ever saw and how I never actually relized they were anime.

I remeber seeing this anime way back when that I thought was gundam but wasn't sure. It had something to do with these ppl living on a space ship that had like a city in it and then it got attacked and I think the enemy snuck in or somthing, its really fague.

ROBOTECH, i love that one, it was the best in my opinion, just bought it this summer, its awesome, i had the same thing, i remebered bits and peices, so i bought it , and im so happy i did, its really awesome, you should pick it up if you have a chance, it brings back memories

Robotech was the oldest I know and it helped lead to todays Giant Robot Anime YAY!!!!
Transformers, Macross, Evangelion, Gundam series, and anything else with giant robots
unless there was one before it and there probably are

!!!! I just remembered the oldest anime I've ever watched.

It was a movie, I forgot the name, but it's about this family (Dad, two little girls) moving into the country... and they move into a "haunted house", where the two girls finds all these black dust things and then chases them out. Eventually the girls find these creatures...

I can't remember the name of the movie... anyone got a guess?

I've watched all three. but samurai pizza cats I thought got kind of off the wall so I never watched more than 2 or 3 eps. also I really got confussed by it. I guess it would have been good to dl them from ep one instead of in the middle of the story some were.

I got one I got one...okay SPEED RACER dude, that was the early 1970s, late 60s, of course I didn't know it was an anime at the time and always kinda wondered why their words NEVER matched their mouths. God that show is so funny to watch....

And no I wasn't alive during that time but I watched speed racer at night waiting for Johny Quest to come on (the 3-D version :lol: )

Astro Boy...that's from the fifties...dude, Astro Boy has started appearing on the milk cartons in the cafetiria... :shock: scary

And no, I am pleased to inform you that Heman is 100% American :lol: I mean, they have the huge, tall, ridiculously huge muscled Man with the deap hero-like voice, blond hair, blue eyes, tiny head and almost no clothes on (<---don't you know, it's the WOMEN in anime that are lacking in wardrobe XD). So yes, it is American :lol:

Yataman tells about two teenagers which fight with bed people. the bad want to earn money so in the beginning the do it every time in different way (they are cheating to do it). It was so cool watching it as a kid thinking: "What will they do this time??" But they always fail and they cant earn any money so theirs boss give them a task (the boss is only voice) So teenagers stop them fight bad with robot (It could be dog or bear, or duck or something else, but they had limited number of robots at home, but they used only one per episode) Bad guys always used new robot which they built themselves. It was very funny when they were fighting each other (there wasnt almost any action but it was great) On the end bad blew up and fly away (one of the bad is women and she was always naked [but we couldnt see anything :evil: :( ]. Romantic scene between teenagers (like naruto and sakura :wink: ) talk with other people and so on. Last scenes are with bad people. they were punished by their boss because they faild. It differ too in every episode :D It was shown in Japan in 01.01.77 - 27.01.79 and firm which made it is: Tatsunoko Productions

First anime I ever saw was Guyver and my brother rented it for me at Blockbuster when I was about 7. It's one of the coolest series out there although watching the dubbed versions make it seem so corny.
