yes i said it halo is by far the most overrated game int he history in gaming...sure its a good game bt to say it ranks supreme wtf no no no im sorry.Morrowind made twice as much money as halo did so did Rainbow Six 3.

In my opinions most people who say halo is the only good game on xbox is those who dont own one or don't have enough games of it they jsu tplayed halo and came to a conclusion.This is why most good games dont get the respected attention til it ocme sout for PS2 and htats when they have to down grade the quality thus people think the game sucks.

Heck RainbowSix 3 was gonna be a just xbox game now they are releasing it for PS2 and i saw the screen shots and it looks completely different and they're holding a tournament for it wtf thats not fair us xbox live gamers never had a tournament on this game...... :x

Ghost Recon another good game for the xbox yet under looked as soon as it came out on PS2 they made it easier heck the aimer on PS2 is bigger than the one on xbox wtf?

then antoher good game splinter cell when i played htis on xbox it was awesome but as soon as it came out on PS2 it look completely different.Thus most people have PS2 thus they need to upgrade to an xbox or PS3 needs to come out this year....

ok let me put in my two cents.. Halo i do admit IS overrated, it is STILL a good game NOT THE BEST HOWEVER. there are much more interesting FPS out there, one that im looking forward to is KIllZOne... it is looking vey sweet. THere are also funner games, like Unreal which is also in the same genre. Let us not mention the likes of the new up and comings, HAlf LIfe 2, DOom 3, Far Cry which are all going to own (or already are owning) .

Halo is fun. that's all there is to it. Maybe some people don't find it enjoyable so they dont' play it. But your have to admit the majority of poeple out there seem to like it. Does this make it a good game? Maybe not. But i'm going to keep playing it.

i do like halo a lot but i wont say it is the god of all FPS. i personally like games where i am killing REAL bad guy. you know what i mean things like terrorists, stuff that could really happen. my favorite FPS is socom. i do like halo but it isnt god.

as for the story HA!! only thing i like is the multiplayer, fcuk the story in this game

Halo started out as a good game being one of the supposed reasons to get an X-box, but now the game is getting old and we may in the future forgot or remember less of it as we enter the season of sequels, prequels? and a new series as I saw in how good UT 2004 is. UT 2K4 can beat Halo now, but who knows its possible that Halo2 will be a flop like CT update I mean its ok, but graphics dont make a game, lasting appeal and gameplay does so will you linger on Halo? or will you see the future and say darn look at all these great up and coming games and don't wait up im going to play UT2K4.

Reasons why Halo CTF CAN KICK YOUR ASS:

- You can run over people in the WartHog.
- You can take down damn Banshees with PISTOLS!! (K, maybe YOU can't, but I can.)
- You can get a buddy in the gunner of the WartHog and circle the enemy base.
- You can be a TEAM KILLING FUCKTARD!!

PS: Anyone else into RvB???

you need to play the first massive online multiplayer FPS game ever called Planet Side.That owns halo anyday.

Halo does not suck...at all. Generally, i loathe all console fps, because they tend to have horrible control and are just plain not fun. But Halo is something special, the control is fluid, the graphics are spectacular, and there is so much more to do. Even the driving is great, I have fun playing chicken with my friends at Blood Gulch all the time, and that is something I can honestly say is true for NO console RPGs. Halo IS an amazing game all around, it is on par, and in my opinion better than the Goldeneyes and Perfect Darks. But the fact is, you are comparing Halo to PC FPS, and those are two completely different things. Control on a PC for FPS is very simple, functional, and straightforward. It is hard to make an easy to use FPS on console using the two analog stick controllers, and Halo just does an amazing job on it. So all of you who are saying Halo sucks and comparing it to UK2K4, those just have no ground because the game plays completely different console vs. pc.

EDIT: Yes, I know that Halo is on the PC also, and I can say that is not as fun as it is on the XBOX. Halo is a console FPS, and that's how it should of been. Its poor transfer to the PC just shows how you can't compare PC FPS and Console FPS.

i enjoyed halo and all but ITS NOT as good as UT 2k4, OR America's Army, OR a personal jewel to me Rainbow Six 3. Halo cant touch those 3. If your going for action then UT is the FPS action god, no other fps is ANYWHERE near as fast as it. If your going for down to earth realism then America's Army and Rainbow Six 3 are there.

yea RvB RULES! and halo is a GREAT game!!! shure once you finish the single player its boring but the multi player rules!!! Also i do think that the game is getting a LOT of hype and credit but AT LEAST it lives up to most of it. (man i can't even count how many times i have been dispointed about hype games that fail to my expetiations.)

Amen to that HALO SUCKS ASS!! well for the first 10 or so minutes it is cool then it gets old and it sucks. there are no new concepts for the guns ecept for the needler. all in all out of ten i gave it a one point three. halo two on the other hand....whew. it promises to be a kickass game. i saw the demo on x play...... the sword grunts and the beginning level are badass.

Ahhhhh I do remember being a team killing fucktard...I was driving the warthog and my friend kept complaining about my driving so.....I hit full speed of the cliff and jumped out at the last second! Then I ran off and got in a battle so my partner couldn't come back and kill me :shock: , we never did finish that mission that day...it was more like a deathmatch after that... :lol: it was the greatest thing ever!!! XD I had forgoten about that, for my string of friends, I was the one who invented doing that (it eventually turned into a game, "who can stay in the car the longest and live??") But I do think Halo is kinda overrated, sure it's fun as hell and the graphics rule but...in the long run I think Morrowind's a better game...it has even MORE shit you can do...more than you can imagine.

AHH i need to moderate this forum... anyways, before commenting on any of this, If you havent beaten the game (or at least tried) and played system link multiplayer, then you have no right to comment. Theres no equivalent experience to playing with 8 - 16 other people killing each other with grenades blowing up every where and snipers shooting your ass with people in tanks gunning you down, not to mention a gunner coming by you in the back of a speeding truck shooting the shit out of you. Its the craziest and funnest thing ive ever played on any console. Have any of you halo haters played on system link?
The only area that it is lacking in is online play but considering it was released a couple years back, it shouldnt have it. Thats where Halo 2 comes in.
Anyways Halo Kicks Ass and is defintely not overrated.

FYI i was considering banning those who said to the contrary when i saw the topic lol... but that wouldnt be quite fair.

Halo is good....not great...... clockable in under 6 hrs for hardcore gamers... i played it on xbox...shooters dont deserve to be on xbox or ps2 or GC they all should be on PC. halo pc is betta....by the way best shooter eva FULL STOP is Counter Strike...its old but the best....most fun (multiplayer)....Halos very recycled with weapon choices

Halo doesn't necessarily suck. It is overrated due to people always rating it 10/10 or 9/10, but it's still a good FPS. Yes, the controls need a bit of time so that you can get used to it, but it's good when you get used to it. I've played Halo for a long time, beaten Legendary a couple of times (never get tired to melee down one more Elite), reading "The Flood" and still kicking butt in Multiplayer. One of my fave FPS!

But the bad thing is that there are no bots to play in multiplayer. And no banshee in multiplayer!

You almost had it right, everything except for the gameplay part. The game moves WAY too slow for my tastes. I spent many years playing Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, so maybe that's why I prefer faster paced games. IMO TimeSplitters 2 blows it out of the water. The modes are more creative and diverse. Virus mode owns all other modes. Top that off with the selection and differences in the characters and it really skyrockets the Replay value of the game over Halo. And it had better music. Halo did have an interesting co-op story mode though, but TS2 also had one. I just feel that Halo is overrated. I always have.
